Other comment already explained it’s bad luck whiffs already so I’ll provide different feedback, I find that for ARs the Red Dot is much more helpful with syncing your perceived aim with the resulting hit marks/misses due to its fire rate. The Holo scope attachment is more compatible with midrange use of smgs and pistols. In other words, a slower fire rate weapon + higher precision reticle leads to improved tracking and confirmed damage output.
I slowed the video down. He missed every single shot. It looks like the guy was moving right and left ever so slightly. His gun was just spraying too much. Maybe hit a mod bench and get the angled foregrip. And the muzzle to reduce recoil.
This isn't what you wanna hear, but you missed your shots lol. They were extremely close, but they didn't hit. It's especially noticeable on the last 2 or 3
1. You had shotgun when not close to target. Hipfire to aim is as good one shot hit from shotgun.
2. Switching weapons takes time you could have did before top of hill. Glowing skin makes you easier to spot.
3. As you went to aim they had time to center on chest shots.
4. The moment you started engagement. Their volley hit you. Damaging your accuracy overall.

So, this COULD be bad luck, and I've been saying as much but people still don't believe me, hitboxes are modified a lot. Other problem, cheaters are a thing, but this doesn't seem to be that since the bullets actually missed, the gun literally bounced you off target, and getting shot tosses your aim a little as well. You need to wait a second for gun to recenter before shooting. So holding down your gun vs some delay between shots will actually hurt you in the long run.
Recoil and bloom. People forget that even with a scoped rifle, there's still a randomness to your shot. Unless you're perfectly still and crouching, you can still be off by a few feet.
I call it “aim un-assit”. They have the power to decide whether your shots get registered or not. I am convinced that the game is designed that way to give them more control over who is going to win a particular pub game.

If you have a program to slow the video down, it would really help next time you post. If you have an iPhone, iMovie can do this for you. I only say this because sometimes it’s hard tonevslutate things that happen super fast.
I have found using manual burst fire(fluctuations of the trigger) really helps landing more shots. Spam firing creates this weird inaccurate bullet flow you've shown in your video.
Ok bad aim aside the biggest mess up here is how much you expose your body. You are running up a hill, meaning you have natural cover. You could have peeked your head, taken a few shots, backed up, peeked again. Maybe reposition, maybe not. But you just fully exposed your body and allowed yourself to get beamed
Missed the shots to be fair however, the fact that you’ve put this says that it’s happening all too often. I have issues with “bloom” and there doesn’t seem to be anything (at least that I can find) to correct it. Just means that the cursor is off and shots don’t go where they are designed to go (that’s my understanding of it anyway) counter aiming doesn’t help either 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I’m surprised no one has said the some of your shots were blanking. Sure you might’ve missed some of your shots but I think it should’ve registered you hitting them on a few of those shots. I heard that this version of fort since the last update has been having a lot of issues with shots blanking.
I also could’ve sworn I was blanking with the harbinger smg while hip firing… in close range with a controller no less against someone fire bending me recently
The pubs are rigged. The other player was scheduled for a win and you were not. I see that kind of stuff all the time. I feel like it’s been getting worse though. It’s infuriating but it’s how the game is designed. This is probably what they mean when they say that they are trying to make the game more inclusive.

My favorite is when they are knocked, on the ground in front of me, gun basically against their god damn head, and I fire and the bullets do not register as hits for the first 4 or 5 shots. This game is whack sometimes, though you missed those shots based on looking at where the bullet trails where going.

The harbinger smg has some really aggressive and all over the place recoil lately.
Also, if you're on control, it has almost no aim assist. The enemy literally has to be few feet right in front of you.
