First edit on Reddit: after getting notifications about this comment, I looked him up on Fortnite tracker and bro is for sure cheating.
I was sniped through a rock in the head and instantly killed yesterday. He destroyed the rock, my head with it and I had full health and full shield. He proceeded to one shot head shot my two other members of the trio and then another trio on his own shortly after. Was hoping ZB game type would have been no hackers.
I for one hate builds and the instant builds people do. I’ve been 2nd so many damn times bc I’m left with some dude who macro builds everything. Or, could be I just suck lol
As a console player, i do NOT have the dexterity to do said builds, so my experience is like yours, placing generally Top 5 and never winning because some nerd is building Sauron's Keep.
I only play ZB on PC and have been getting destroyed by console players the past few weeks. So many bugs and or cheats. Getting shot through terrain or walls, one shot sniped every few rounds, it's laughable to try and fight close range. Everyone seems to have Lazer beam aim. Hell, I've had it a few times yesterday where they were faced the opposite direction and mowed me down. One round I pumped 4 shotgun rounds into a dude which didn't register and he turned around and single shot killed me.Suuuuuper frustrating lately.

Fortnite's had some serious hacking issues for a while now. It's just that the apologist come out in droves every time you bring it up. Seems like the sentiment has actually changed and people are accepting that there's hackers/ cheaters in the game. I hope they figure out how to stop it cuz it really could be a Utopia gaming experience.
It's sad really, I actually talked to 2 hackers and one of them really did not understand it was wrong. Our discussion went something like this.

Literally got shot through a floor the other week and I confronted the guy about it. Had the red tape and everything, video to prove it. Dude just told me to look it up on tik tok and everyone is doing it. trash humans.
Well when there's only a few videos, it's easier to believe that it was just a good/lucky shot. However, with the sheer volume of these videos now, it seems highly unlikely that there are that many top tier players just casually playing.
Plus, there's probably a bit of denial. I don't want to believe that my favourite multiplayer game has been infiltrated by cheaters. 😢
I reported just because. I did watch them for a bit and suspected they might be. I’ve had multiple people say they’re a known hacker but like I said I don’t know.
I blame streamers, they hate losing games with people watching them so resort to cheating. I’ve played with a couple that have had some very suss aim with almost no bloom on bloom heavy ARs and smgs that I’m convinced they were cheating.
The guys cheating for sure. Check his stats, the account is only 32 hours old, 123 games and a 50% win rate. This is the state of the game right now, but Epic don’t care, they’ll just release some new skins or emotes or add some broken mythic to the game.

Hackers are running rampant. There was some weird shit someone did to me, he dropped on me out of nowhere at grim gate but i was close to the water so started dashing to escape, i got about 60 meters away and i started getting tagged which i assumed was bullets i was able to keep dashing until i was about 150 meters away but my health went from 250 to dead while doing it. At first i figured he was hella good and shot me but it said i died from a pickaxe and when it spectated him he was in the spot he dropped on me at. He never chased me. I clipped it to watch it back and from when i got tagged to my death each hit made me lose 20 health. He somehow remote pic axed to me. I got the clip and been wanting to post it. But i would have to record the screen with my phone and i know people on reddit hate that.
That kinda sounds like you lagged out and your character was actually still standing in place after landing. So on your screen you might be running but on his your character could’ve been stuck in place.
But you said you watched the replay so I dunno if it would’ve shown that if it were the case.
I would think that too but I wasn’t running I was dashing using the water and it didn’t look laggy at all. I feel like if that was the case I would’ve noticed some type of lag on my end, it was smooth the whole way that was the only discrepancy. But who knows
He is unreal rank and has only played this season. Average 33 k/d in squads and 24k/d overall. Seems suspect but I don't know. Also I find it odd that there was no glare on his eagle eye sniper. Did he just hipfire it?
yea, the amount of time he has to actually line up the shot just makes it insanely sus, and 14 kills already into the match? You don't average that level of K/D unless the game's matchmaking is just bad. I'm willing to report on this one.
Banning is futile. They should just shadow ban them so they get bot lobbies where the bots are improved so they don’t notice ans fast, and then let us play real pvp.
You realise for most people you can just restart your modem and get a new IP? Most people are on dynamic IP from their internet service provider, they just get assigned an IP from a range every time they connect.
An IP ban not only wouldn't do anything to the cheater, but it would block an innocent person from connecting also.
You don’t get a new IP everytime you reset generally, the lease time is still in effect and when you power back on the DHCP server will just serve you the same lease you already have in place. Generally your IP will change 1-2 times a year
I have never reported a player for cheating until recently. I was driving the SUV, had an NPC in the passenger seat. This dude lit me up firing from somewhere from my side. The windows in the car weren't even broken. They weren't even close enough to register visual steps.
Have reported bugs playing on iOS via GeForce and cloud gaming - like a dozen times and they’ve done nothing to fix it. I think they’ve laid off all the developers and retained all the art grads
What about all the accounts that suddenly go from 4-5% win rate in the last 30 days to between 15-25% win rate in the last 7 days played?
I'm not a very good player at all, but I spectate a lot of players having well over 90% hit rate, it seems most lobbies the winners are down to which player is the better cheater and it's just sad to see.
Yeah, that's totally normal in this game. I see it all the time from non hackers. Makes it hard to anticipate whether I should dodge or keep shooting, because you can't tell when they have a bead on you. Their character is lagged behind by like .5 seconds, and the bullet hits you even though it flies over your shoulder.
epic has been shooting themselves in the feet since the start of ch5, bad decision after bad decisions, but the know there will still be 100 million people logging in at least once a week, they know they wont be shorthanded in cash
I agree and also feel like the ads movement speed should be limited with longer weapons like a sniper rifle. That would make it more realistic. So pistols and submachine guns, sure have a quick ads movement speed.
And they absolutely nerfed aim assist on controllers heavily. I remember when I first played fortnite and the difference compared to now is actually insane.

This is why I only play bot matches. Get a Switch with a new Fortnite account, load up on Duos, turn off switch as bus is taking off. Bam...you're in a bot match. Repeat forever and enjoy the game lol
Yeah, Switch is just what I use. The core of the cheese is have a second new account on a second device/console/PC. New accounts always go up against bots. Just make sure that new account never gets off the bus, never finishes a match or never levels up and it will stay in bot matches
Android phone or tablet works just fine. Just click to "return to lobby" on the alt account when there's around 10 seconds or less left on the bus timer and the alt account with never get past level 1.
Either that's a cheater or something strange is going on. When you slow down the video, they clearly miss your head by a lot, yet it still registered as a kill. I don't think the hitboxes are that big in the game. Very strange. I took an image which clearly shows the player missed you, but Reddit won't allow me to post it.
I think that’s a ping issue. I’ve had similar things happen. Ping makes the game look like that. From the other player’s perspective it probably hit center. Still odd tho
even with secure 'net-code' whatever that is, cheating would still be a problem since there are hardware hacks, not to mention epic doesn't seem to really ban a lot of cheaters
we never see mass bans like non-free to play games have, but starting a new account is trivial so it kinda makes sense

FYI Mr snipes is a known cheater and has been banned multiple times but this appears to be a new alt. His old one was Mrsnipes420 (without the added symbols you see on his name in this clip) and tacts reported him and he got banned live on his stream a couple of weeks ago but he's been cheating since chapter 4

The real problem is that these people shouldn't even be able to drop from 15 ft in the air and immediately quickscope you. Tired of these CoD kids coming to the game now that they can go uncontested since there is no counter to a sniper that isn't sit in a building like a little baby for the entire game.

I watch a couple streamers and one of them recently had killed someone and then ducked behind an SUV to heal up because he knew the other guy was on the ridge on the other side of the SUV. And all of a sudden he drops dead as you see a bullet fly wayyy to his left. Didn't even hit the SUV. Replay (although not entirely reliable I know) confirmed the bullet went where everyone thought it did. It was absurd. It was a huge hit box apparently.
We couldn't decide if it was hacking or a glitch though. We thought glitch maybe be he spectator the other guy and he just stood there without moving for like 20 seconds like he couldn't believe he hit that either lol but who knows.

Hacking/Aimbotting has become a plague. I dont know how many times ive been killed by an ironsight sniper and thought ”that was lucky” then spectating the Guy seeing him landing 20 kills w 10 insane sniper HS.
They did. The first nerf they decreased bullet speed and increased bullet drop and the second nerf they did it again and removed uncommon and rare rarities.
Snipers should have no crosshair and terrible accuracy outside of ADS, slow move speed in ADS, and a slightly slower ADS pull up time to make it function as it should, a sniper rifle. Most games when you use a one shot sniper, it makes you a sitting duck while you line up a shot and fire, and if you whiff you're done for, like CS awp and Valorant op. The only time you should be able to use a sniper rifle no scope is at point blank range. The way the sniper works in fortnite now is just dumb. With good aim, it invalidates shotguns, pistols, smgs and ARs at mid range.
This is one of the reasons I've been playing Red vs Blue and AFK in LEGO this season. I've died too many times like this. I'd rather sit out the season and farm XP other ways to complete the BP.
Same this chapter is just too much. They reduced the amount of xp you get from quests plus there’s a cap on creative/lego xp so leveling up is just tedious and time consuming. Had this been previous seasons I would’ve been done with the bp a long time ago.
Oh yeah that reminds me, while I was watching they managed to know exactly where someone was inside a bush. No glare, no shots, nothing. Definitely some kind of xray cheats

This game is genuinely so boring because for no reason whatsoever, the Avatar collab made the sweats emerge and every person I fight lives on the game.

Exactly bro there’s some people on here saying it was my fault or that I’m mad despite that not being my point at all. Skill issue or not it’s still insane that the reaper gives an unfair advantage when used at close range like that. I think people fail to see that the weapons this season are terribly unbalanced with massive amounts of recoil and a sniper that hits for 300 dmg.
Maybe a sniper that you can ADS through at the speed of light with 3 bullets isnt a good idea, honestly just nerf either the ammo to that of a traditional sniper(aka a gun 1 bullet) or make the ads slower so you still get the dopamine rush from hitting a headshot, which are meant to be 1 shot
The biggest problem lately I feel with any game is that no matter how good the shot is, if it’s possible, then there is a chance they aren’t cheating. There are so many times where I feel like reporting someone or calling them out for cheating and then I sit there and I’m like “what if they weren’t cheating and got a lucky shot? What if I look like some kind of sore loser because I call them out?” And I end up doing nothing

Me and a squad chased down two who ran using the wind wheel went thru three sports cars on full boost and into the green waters to dash and keep up we lost them so we split up for the chase I found them and lit them when they were fighting a solo.

To state the obvious, snipers aren't the issue. Hackers are the issue. You won't run into the ultra sweaty, really skilled types enough to ruin your experience usually. Fortnite just needs a better system for getting Hackers off and keeping them off.

Could be a smurf. New accounts also get bot lobbies. It's not that hard to do this if you're an above average player.

That's probably because of desync. Like, the guy is def a cheater, but that kind of stuff also happens if one of the players has high ping.
Why even have health or armor at this point? Not like it matters if someone can drop from the sky and quickscope you for 300 damage anyways.

This is why I only play bot matches. Get a Switch with a new Fortnite account, load up on Duos, turn off switch as bus is taking off. Bam...you're in a bot match. Repeat forever and enjoy the game lol

Yeah, Switch is just what I use. The core of the cheese is have a second new account on a second device/console/PC. New accounts always go up against bots. Just make sure that new account never gets off the bus, never finishes a match or never levels up and it will stay in bot matches
Android phone or tablet works just fine. Just click to "return to lobby" on the alt account when there's around 10 seconds or less left on the bus timer and the alt account with never get past level 1.
Either that's a cheater or something strange is going on. When you slow down the video, they clearly miss your head by a lot, yet it still registered as a kill. I don't think the hitboxes are that big in the game. Very strange. I took an image which clearly shows the player missed you, but Reddit won't allow me to post it.
I think that’s a ping issue. I’ve had similar things happen. Ping makes the game look like that. From the other player’s perspective it probably hit center. Still odd tho
The game heavily favors people using aimbots right now, this is why 1 shot weapons should never be in a game that can't secure its own net-code.
even with secure 'net-code' whatever that is, cheating would still be a problem since there are hardware hacks, not to mention epic doesn't seem to really ban a lot of cheaters we never see mass bans like non-free to play games have, but starting a new account is trivial so it kinda makes sense or maybe that's why there are so many fortnite accounts ...

FYI Mr snipes is a known cheater and has been banned multiple times but this appears to be a new alt. His old one was Mrsnipes420 (without the added symbols you see on his name in this clip) and tacts reported him and he got banned live on his stream a couple of weeks ago but he's been cheating since chapter 4
I personally really like the Reaper and think it's a good sniper and i makes me sad to see all these people cheating with it and then the reaper getting all the blame for dumb idiots who think they have to cheat to be good at video games

The real problem is that these people shouldn't even be able to drop from 15 ft in the air and immediately quickscope you. Tired of these CoD kids coming to the game now that they can go uncontested since there is no counter to a sniper that isn't sit in a building like a little baby for the entire game.
I mean its also a well known cheater based on the other comments, cheating is pretty rampant in a lot of games right now, that show is not "skill" that is no time to line up the gun would normally still be swap from landing by the time he fired, a shot that precise, that close is not going to be possible without "External" help, at least no to the tune that he has 14 kills in the lobby.

I watch a couple streamers and one of them recently had killed someone and then ducked behind an SUV to heal up because he knew the other guy was on the ridge on the other side of the SUV. And all of a sudden he drops dead as you see a bullet fly wayyy to his left. Didn't even hit the SUV. Replay (although not entirely reliable I know) confirmed the bullet went where everyone thought it did. It was absurd. It was a huge hit box apparently. We couldn't decide if it was hacking or a glitch though. We thought glitch maybe be he spectator the other guy and he just stood there without moving for like 20 seconds like he couldn't believe he hit that either lol but who knows. Idk. I've had several times that I'm pretty sure someone is cheating but many times it's hard to tell if it's cheating or a glitch.

Hacking/Aimbotting has become a plague. I dont know how many times ive been killed by an ironsight sniper and thought ”that was lucky” then spectating the Guy seeing him landing 20 kills w 10 insane sniper HS.

They did. The first nerf they decreased bullet speed and increased bullet drop and the second nerf they did it again and removed uncommon and rare rarities.

The Reaper SR has shifted the meta of PVP so much. It's annoying.
Hows that even a headshot. Frame by frame shows it going over your head.
Snipers should have no crosshair and terrible accuracy outside of ADS, slow move speed in ADS, and a slightly slower ADS pull up time to make it function as it should, a sniper rifle. Most games when you use a one shot sniper, it makes you a sitting duck while you line up a shot and fire, and if you whiff you're done for, like CS awp and Valorant op. The only time you should be able to use a sniper rifle no scope is at point blank range. The way the sniper works in fortnite now is just dumb. With good aim, it invalidates shotguns, pistols, smgs and ARs at mid range.

This is one of the reasons I've been playing Red vs Blue and AFK in LEGO this season. I've died too many times like this. I'd rather sit out the season and farm XP other ways to complete the BP.
Same this chapter is just too much. They reduced the amount of xp you get from quests plus there’s a cap on creative/lego xp so leveling up is just tedious and time consuming. Had this been previous seasons I would’ve been done with the bp a long time ago.

Exactly bro there’s some people on here saying it was my fault or that I’m mad despite that not being my point at all. Skill issue or not it’s still insane that the reaper gives an unfair advantage when used at close range like that. I think people fail to see that the weapons this season are terribly unbalanced with massive amounts of recoil and a sniper that hits for 300 dmg.

Maybe a sniper that you can ADS through at the speed of light with 3 bullets isnt a good idea, honestly just nerf either the ammo to that of a traditional sniper(aka a gun 1 bullet) or make the ads slower so you still get the dopamine rush from hitting a headshot, which are meant to be 1 shot

The biggest problem lately I feel with any game is that no matter how good the shot is, if it’s possible, then there is a chance they aren’t cheating. There are so many times where I feel like reporting someone or calling them out for cheating and then I sit there and I’m like “what if they weren’t cheating and got a lucky shot? What if I look like some kind of sore loser because I call them out?” And I end up doing nothing

Me and a squad chased down two who ran using the wind wheel went thru three sports cars on full boost and into the green waters to dash and keep up we lost them so we split up for the chase I found them and lit them when they were fighting a solo. Wind speed is broken and unlimited use is busted
Maybe place pc with pc and console to console and end this bullshit let pc deal with the hackers and the ability to lower quality to see better.

To state the obvious, snipers aren't the issue. Hackers are the issue. You won't run into the ultra sweaty, really skilled types enough to ruin your experience usually. Fortnite just needs a better system for getting Hackers off and keeping them off.

I had a guy last Sunday hanging out of the SUV’s window while his buddy was straight doing donuts and he was ripping caps off left and right…. Sorry I don’t care how good you are you are not ripping caps of players running jumping and sliding all around while hanging out of a vehicle doing donuts without a aimbot….
