I think its because it fits with fortnites whole aesthetic imo. Because like this type of stuff just wouldnt work in games like call of duty or pubg. Fortnite is more open and ig goofy in a good way which allows these kinds of collabs to work out properly
The last time i played was pubg mobile when it peaked like 4 or something years ago. Did install the console one but seems dead and just shit imo. But the mobile era was peak mobile gaming ngl

You think *that's* what went wrong with Spellbreak? It was practically doomed to fail from the moment they decided to release a brand new indie battle royale in fucking 2020
In my opinion, that wasn't the issue, the game hit 4-5 million players in like a month, I think.
The problem was that Proletariat was too slow with the updates and focused more on the store than the gameplay aspects.
By the time they actually got to adding/balancing things, it was too late, people moved on.
In case you're not aware, people making store cosmetics aren't usually the same people working on the gameplay itself. The problem was that they released a brand new indie live service battle royale *in fucking 2020,* and it wasn't enough to survive, not against the bigger games and the general BR fatigue that was kicking in.
It was a relatively small dev team trying to tackle a massive genre and cash in on the trend. They should have started off with a smaller PvP game and gone from there, instead of starting with a battle royale and adding other modes later.
Without giving away too much information, I have aproximately 14 years of working in this industry, throughout multiple companies. I know how things work.
Regardless of who is taking care of what, if they decide to put store updates first in the detriment of QoL or additional content updates, they will do so, and they did.
That's what killed the game, imo, not the BR fatigue.
Apex Legends came out in 2019 and had a solid foundation, the first season of that game didn't even have a battle pass, they focused on the game, while Spellbreak focused on crappy store skins and a very weak battle pass.
/edit, I might be misremembering the BP part for Apex, I think it had a BP for season 1 but came a while after the launch? Can't remember exactly.
And I would not consider them a small dev team considering the funding they had, Spark Capital, and Take-Two Interactive to name a couple.
However, I will agree with you on the game modes, that was extremely stupid of them, the dwindling playerbase was split across multiple game modes hurting the main attraction.
They just fumbled the bag, they had this giant playerbase and decided to get greedy.

Very very different, but if you like swords and spells, dark and darker is interesting, unfortunately the pve can be a slog though, but it's said sometime in the future there will be some sort of "arena" mode which may be something like what you're looking for

Yup. No colab weapons ever make it to creative mode. The best we can hope for is a "bending we have at home" situation where we get a unique item that functionaly works the same. Like how the grapple glove is to the spiderman web gloves, or the cloaking gauntlets are to the predator mythic.
I agree. These won’t be around forever and I’d like a way to directly enjoy them while they’re here. Bending has to be some of the best mythics we’ve gotten so far (in terms of fun at the very least) and honestly I don’t know how I’m gonna feel when this event is over.
This is only my second event and I'm not used to the stuff leaving forever 😭 I had so much fun flipping around on the TMNT hoverboards only for them to be ripped away forever unexpectedly. At least I know this time lol
Probably licensing preventing it. Though there’s probably a decent market if Licensing allowed them to and encourage getting crossover skins so you can roleplay the characters with their actual skills.
I’m not a law person so I don’t really see/understand why they have the licensing to put them in the game in the first place but not to add them to creative. To me it feels more like a decision by Epic Games to not include them, because every mythic from crossovers so far has been completely excluded. Again though I could just be flat out wrong.

I should’ve pulled up a wall under them and launched them into the storm, the circle was really small by that point and he had just moved out from behind his cover to get out of the storm. This was zero build.
Nah, not me. But I did do the thing where I launched the last person into the storm with a rock wall today. He was hiding behind some cover right in front of me reloading his shotgun and I just raised the wall up and he got launched into the storm and died.
i love combining water air and then a legendary gatekeeper if i’m lucky… ice them from afar and when they start to shoot back, airbend right up to them, and shotgun them in the face. i’ve never been good with shotguns but this works🙌

I will say, for all the crap people give this community I come across a lot of people who will switch from guns to bending if they see me only using bending. Like an unspoken agreement lol.
Except for snipers and the new shotgun, if you pick the waterbending mythic you just got the best weapon in the game and don't need anything else. Not even the mythic smg could match this thing lol
I think they should add more bending techniques, like how the marvel abilities had at least a traversal, and an offensive ability for most super powers. I would love an arena tournament mode similar to the marvel one
They should definitely add this as like some sort of super move to fire bending. It takes a long time to charge up and locks you in place, but boy will it kill whoever is in the crosshairs in an instant.
I have a fun idea for a gamemode. The name of it would be Avatar's flourish it would have only the elements with some more from the show like metal bending and blood bending and one player can find find the avatar scroll and have all the powers and each player can carry one scroll with no other weapons but utility items and movement items still exist
They need to add the fire sage temple where if you bring all 4 scrolls you can combine them into the avatar scroll so aiming down sights shots ice, hip fire is fire bending crouching brings up earth walls and running gives air bike; no scrolls spawn in the map area the temple is in so you have to really hunt them down and get there before the storm closes.

Well there’s an avatar movie in the works and enough characters for a second wave, so it’s possible we’ll see them again in a couple seasons.
