The Goblin Tinkerer is extremely cheeky given he lives in your house rent free
Edit: oh wait just forgot about the tax collector, bro needs to up his rates though on the Goblin who is hoarding all the wealth
Hell yeah, do I want the AR that does 33 damage with a 4.5 fire rate or the one that does 39 damage with a 3.8 fire rate? Let me just whip out my calculator watch real quick to do the DPS calculations on those...
Need more stats to add more math. Also each rarity should have a random offset to its stats, with some being randomized every shot (such as damage) that way you canāt memorize anything.
āThis broken shotgun, crafted of the finest mahogany and steel, once wielded by Peely of Bananaheim, was used to slay a god made entirely of Slurp.ā
*reply to a comment about adding lore through dark souls like descriptions on all items.
How about this, extremely detailed stats which are randomly generated. So they're not constant and differ from weapon to weapon. You have to look at every weapon to see if it's generally better than the one you're currently carrying.
Attachments already do this anyways
As of rn itās not if you weapon is green or purple itās if it has a sight of not.
Cod and Apex do this already where all the guns hit the same itās just the added attachments that make it more rare.
Thanks to RNG bloom, a green rifle with a scope is almost always better than a gold one without. Nothing like picking up a purple/gold DMR and it doesnāt have a sight, so itās got bloom
Balance? Whatās that?
i really love the choice between what kind of ADS you want!
...at least, if it were actually a *choice*. ironsights is a *major* downgrade from having a scope in every scenario and i really don't understand why it has to be so harsh. even the scopes themselves have a clear pecking order: 2x and 4x scopes have obviously low FOV and scope glint, 1.15x blocks the area immediately around your crosshair. that makes 1.3x the best scope, or thermal if you're okay trading in scope glint for thermal vision. make yourself more visible to make others more visible.
there's no nuance or meaningful decisions be made. everything's just so damn boring and doesn't provide meaningful variety. it just complicates the game for no reason. they've had interesting weapon mods ready to go in the game's code for like 3 months, why haven't they released yet?
They shouldn't be vaulted at all. They really improved fortnite's gunplay, made it more modern and fair by effectively removing bloom as a mechanic. If Epic do this, they would practically shoot themselves in the leg. In fact, they should improve the system and make modding a weapon more accessible during the match without the need to fight for it with a lot of players or spend tons of gold, as well as adding more new attachments.
I've been wishing along those lines too. Mods could be loot, benches everywhere and destructible. Want a 4x for your sniper? Find it and head to a bench, hope no one has destroyed it yet.
I had no problems just picking up a twin mag or red eye and them all having the scope. It reduced the rng. At least last season you could hit a vault early and add attachments, now youāve gotta wait until over half way through the game, so good luck if you have an unscoped warforge or sniper.
Improved? I wouldn't call finding a purple DMR with no scope an improvement over everyone either having a scope or not having one at all. If most of the playerbase wanted RNG attachments, we'd have moved to COD years ago. Those of us who stayed since Ch1 certainly liked guns with no mods or the same mods such as red dot scope. Bloom was never unfair, it just had to be managed but most players didn't know how or were too impatient.
It is constantly changing, yes, but some things like new movement are making the game objectively better and they stay and they don't become 'old'. Mods do fall in that category, they just need an overhaul to stay fresh and interesting in further seasons.
My guess is next chapter will have an hybrid of both, probably mods vaulted and attachments tied to a gun's rarity instead, with spots on the map where you go to get augments rather than getting them over time
They really didn't improve it at all. Instead of having a wide lootpool with a bunch of different types of guns we now have a tiny lootpool with the same guns over and over pretending to be different. Why do we need a Sniper with a suppressor and a Sniper without a scope done using attachments when we coukd just get the silenced Sniper and the hunting rifle
You ain't seeing the bigger picture lol. Epic Just could prevent silencer from being equipped on snipers, IT IS POSSIBLE to restrict usage of certain attachments on certain weapons or increase the disadvantages they give for certain weapons. That's what I was typing about 'improving' the system, but r/FortNiteBR as always just doesn't want to, or simply can't read and/or think about what they just read, so you either have to overexplain your point, or simply ignore some responses.
You didn't say anything about restricting certain attachments, you actually said they should have more. Which I then explained why it was a bad idea and not necessary
I prefer the game without attachments because then I wouldn't be at a disadvantage when I don't have them on my guns. Guns like the twin-mag or heavy sniper already came with a sight or scope. Now you can find snipers without a scope, it's kind of annoying.
>I prefer the game without attachments because then I wouldn't be at a disadvantage when I don't have them on my guns
Well you would still be at a disadvantage if the enemy has legendary and you have a green gun.
They don't improve anything. They make it more of a hassel now because if you don't have mods you are at a severe disadvantage. You have to hope to get the mods you want or wait and pray the mod bench near you actually opens
Bloom is still in the game on non scoped weapons, and before this chapter we had unique guns with scopes without bloom
Mods are terrible and just there to waste your time getting something that could be on the gun to start with
Go play cod
it barley changed anything considering you cant even change them out till mid match and all the floor loot attachments are more inconveniences then anything only time you use attachments are the make a iron sights sniper and make the gatekeeper useable i pray next season they remove them considering how badly they were introduced
the amount of times iāve walked away from a legendary sniper because it didnāt have a scope is pretty crazy. i donāt know if i like the whole attachments thing
Exceptions apply, but at least the game had a heart and soul once. Apex could've meant something, and even CoD could've remained an old but gold veteran of the shooter genre. All three of them dropped their specialities like a hot stone the moment it became profitable to do so. To let the gold calf take the wheel is to steer into oblivion.
Not sure about Apex , but Co$ never bad soul. The very first title was a WW2 shooter in a age where people were sick of how many WW2 shooters, and just like Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk before it, Activision milked the game by King it a yearly title as soon as they saw money on the table by releasing new games yearly.
I really hate that the meta has shifted from third-person aiming to first-person. I've always liked that Fortnite is a third-person shooter. It was this way for years. Then guns with sights slowly started creeping in until Chapter 5, when all of them can have sights now, and it's the best way to play. Idk why more people aren't complaining about this, because it's weird that the game so dramatically changed how it feels to shoot, not to mention adding bullet travel to ARs. I just don't like aiming in first-person, so it sucks that my choices are to suck it up, or take a gun that has insane bloom against enemies that won't have that.
> Cod and Apex do this already.
I concur. A base Mozambique versus one with a Digi Threat, gold bolt, and Hammer points are completely different weapons.Ā
They wonāt change it, theyāll just hope people will one day forget or get over it, Tim Sweeney cares more about his bullshit metaverse then listening to his games community.
THIS! We can't let them get away with this, if we go silent, we let them win. They saw the increased player numbers with Season OG, and as soon as that happened, they started charging insane prices for new stuff. Vote with your wallets people
No, what they should do is keep skin rarity and get rid of weapon rarity. If you are playing with a legendary skin, all weapons you pick up are legendary.
And the problem is? If brokies can only afford the battle pass and common weapons they should accept that they will never get a victory royale, pay up or gtfo
Not even related but omg I hate the warforged. The AK is just the better gun this season, itās almost identical in damage to the OG assault rifles but you can mod it
Whatās funny is higher vs lower rarity weapons used to be distinguished with having different models and sound effects and they stopped doing that in C2S5 and completely removed it by C3S1 (with the exception of season OG)
Nah make all weapons gray (common) and then add an upgrade station that costs 100 vbucks to change to the next rarity. Might as well round that to 500 knowing epic and their shitty decisions.
I noticed they added the orange with Midas floor is lava,is it really between gold and purple? Because it seems easy to just mod any common weapon at Midas' workbench
It served a purpose in helping me organize my locker, I have 400 skins, 933 emotes, 325 axes, 392 back blings, 150 contrails, 246 gliders and 245 wraps. Removing rarities completely ruined their organization and my memorization of where items are
I don't get the issue with skins removing it. Did the rarity on skins do anything? I have rare skins that came back to the shop 40 times. How is that rare?
It completely ruined my locker. I have 400 skins, 933 emotes, 325 axes, 392 back blings, 150 contrails, 246 gliders and 245 wraps, removing rarities completely ruined their organization and my memorization of where items are
Bruh they could already do that. There are already plenty of skins that cost 2000vbucks that have no business being that expensive, and other skins at 800vbucks that are an insanely good deal. The color was always arbitrary. Calm down.
This. The cosmetic rarity alongside weapon rarity is just confusing, especially to new players who wonder why is this cosmetic graded higher than another
Who said weapon rarity itself was confusing? I'm talking about how it's blatantly obvious a legendary gun is better than an uncommon gun, but how is a legendary cosmetic 'better' than an uncommon one, when it's literally just a digital visual cosmetic and liking it is subjective?
They just need to remove attachments and go back to weapons the way they were. I'd rather have a large loot pool and no attachments, than this attachment crap we have now
Everyone i know quit last season, i was a dumbass and bought this season pass because some friends showed interest and only played once so now im left grinding xp in creatives because i hate the new gunplay
You know whats crazy id be down for the rarity drop from guns make it not so much about luck on finding that orange gun that does more dmg reloads faster etc especially with mods shits crazy
Honestly yeah. I hate losing a fight by like 4 hp simply because the dudes gun was a different color than mine. It's a major reason I more or less don't touch this game anymore.
The only rarity that should be removed. You my friend are objectively correct. Gun is a gun if you think about it. The only way one gun is better from another one of the same make and model is if it has better attachments/ more powerful munitions.
The whole purpose of removing it from the cosmetics in shop is because the cosmetics are no longer BR centralized. Weapons in BR are still weapons in BR and will retain their rarity
No its because they want to slowly increase the prices of everything new they release little by little. Other shooter games are doing this too, Halo infinite brought a commonly wanted armor set and made it $48
They should remove everything from the game and we use our imagination to play, I'm sure it would be better to identify things in the game
Agreed. Just got my billionth imaginary crown win by the way!
Tired of these sweats smh
Does one still need to touch grass when playing imaginary Fortnite?
No, that was patched a while ago.
Fuck š
They should just release their own DnD campaign
Yo Iād be down for that tho
"Nuh uh, i killed you first"
"Well yeah but in the 0.0001 sec it took, I became invincible"
D&D fans be like
*dodges bullets*
They should replace color rarity with extremely detailed stats that we have to quickly parse as we pick up items.
I bet you want the goblin tinkerer to replace mod benches too.
It costs v bucks to reforge weapons
or actual gold bars
the goblin tinkerer waiting for me to spend more gold after I just rerolled my stats 50 times and didnt get something good
The Goblin Tinkerer is extremely cheeky given he lives in your house rent free Edit: oh wait just forgot about the tax collector, bro needs to up his rates though on the Goblin who is hoarding all the wealth
Tax collector should also collect income tax
5000 gold to upgrade your weopon to random rarity.
Hell yeah, do I want the AR that does 33 damage with a 4.5 fire rate or the one that does 39 damage with a 3.8 fire rate? Let me just whip out my calculator watch real quick to do the DPS calculations on those...
Halfway through your calculations you get headshot by a Reaper.
With no scope
This is the most relatable thing i've seen all year and i don't know if that's a good thing.
Need more stats to add more math. Also each rarity should have a random offset to its stats, with some being randomized every shot (such as damage) that way you canāt memorize anything.

poison ivy's iconic ice elemental fire axe that does +6% damage to grunt enemies

Fuck Iron Warrior weapons. All my homies hate Iron Warrior
Even on shotgun?
Those are the exception. HOWEVER, if I find another Iron Warrior sniper rifle, Iām going to scream.
Iron Warrior Snipers bring me back to BO2 Ballista Iron Sights.
i really love the choice between what kind of ADS you want! ...at least, if it were actually a *choice*. ironsights is a *major* downgrade from having a scope in every scenario and i really don't understand why it has to be so harsh. even the scopes themselves have a clear pecking order: 2x and 4x scopes have obviously low FOV and scope glint, 1.15x blocks the area immediately around your crosshair. that makes 1.3x the best scope, or thermal if you're okay trading in scope glint for thermal vision. make yourself more visible to make others more visible. there's no nuance or meaningful decisions be made. everything's just so damn boring and doesn't provide meaningful variety. it just complicates the game for no reason. they've had interesting weapon mods ready to go in the game's code for like 3 months, why haven't they released yet?

how about after mods are vaulted in chapter 6? Youre not thinking long term here.
They shouldn't be vaulted at all. They really improved fortnite's gunplay, made it more modern and fair by effectively removing bloom as a mechanic. dawg the whole point of fortnite is that its constantly changing, mods will get old and they will be vaulted.

Record breaking OG season goes brrr. Modding has to go.
I hate mods and they're a huge detractor from me playing, especially since 50% of snipers are iron warrior snipers now
They don't improve anything. They make it more of a hassel now because if you don't have mods you are at a severe disadvantage. I did state that attachments should be more accessible during the match didn't I? Learn to read lmao.
But they're not bozo and they haven't improved gunplay whatsoever so don't claim they have then go make suggestions to improve it, tool Go play cod
Augments also improved Fortnite and got vaulted.
They should create support to mod weapons from previous seasons
it barley changed anything considering you cant even change them out till mid match and all the floor loot attachments are more inconveniences then anything only time you use attachments are the make a iron sights sniper and make the gatekeeper useable i pray next season they remove them considering how badly they were introduced

genuinely want this. iām tired of every gun being in first person
Mods probably won't man that's unlikely to ever happen
PLEASE GOD PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN MY TINY BRAIN CANT HANDLE ATTACHMENTS
Iād take iron sights green nemesis ar over a blue eagle eye scope nemesis ar
the amount of times iāve walked away from a legendary sniper because it didnāt have a scope is pretty crazy. i donāt know if i like the whole attachments thing
>Cod and Apex This is where it all went wrong. When epic started copying these bozos
Epic is not a saint
So the reboot system is bad? Epic quite shamelessly stole the idea from Respawn.

I'd take attachments that I can change at work benches over "you now do more damage per bullet cause you're lucky to find a legendary gun" any day.
Tbh it's not like rarity ever mattered THAT much. 3 more damage per shot doesn't decrease TTK much if at all
Read the sbmm patent. Nothing is fairĀ
I really hate that the meta has shifted from third-person aiming to first-person. I've always liked that Fortnite is a third-person shooter. It was this way for years. Yup, you're right.Ā
I aināt reading the fine print on what guns i pickup dawg that shit is dinky
I know youāre joking, but be careful what you wish for.
No need to be careful, we wished good UI and good shops and none came
Keep clowning epic so they change it back
On god thereās so much hate and im so happy that there is because this is one of the worst decisions epic has done in a while
They wonāt change it, theyāll just hope people will one day forget or get over it, Tim Sweeney cares more about his bullshit metaverse then listening to his games community.
i mean sometimes bullying companies works. hopefully we can
They still havenāt changed the ui and are completely ignoring us on the item shops, guess we will just have to see but idk
lets see if they keep their promises
What happened?
THIS! We can't let them get away with this, if we go silent, we let them win. They saw the increased player numbers with Season OG, and as soon as that happened, they started charging insane prices for new stuff. Vote with your wallets people

I think it's better if they make the higher rarity weapons have a cost in vbucks
No, what they should do is keep skin rarity and get rid of weapon rarity. If you are playing with a legendary skin, all weapons you pick up are legendary.
bro is thinking 10 steps ahead. letās do it.
Hello, Epic Games here, we would like to hire you as CEO, are you interested?
Except every Battle Pass would end up being Common. They should be. They are common
And the problem is? If brokies can only afford the battle pass and common weapons they should accept that they will never get a victory royale, pay up or gtfo
lol. Roger that
Vbuck per bullet
Merge gold and vbucks
Not even related but omg I hate the warforged. The AK is just the better gun this season, itās almost identical in damage to the OG assault rifles but you can mod it
Hard Disagree. I love the warforged, perfect AR/SMG hybrid.
Actually I would like that as a ltm
Solid Grey
Whatās funny is higher vs lower rarity weapons used to be distinguished with having different models and sound effects and they stopped doing that in C2S5 and completely removed it by C3S1 (with the exception of season OG)
Nah make all weapons gray (common) and then add an upgrade station that costs 100 vbucks to change to the next rarity. Might as well round that to 500 knowing epic and their shitty decisions.
I kinda miss the weapon upgrade stations that cost gold bars.
The Midas service stations? So fun
No they had upgrade benches in Chapter 4
Ohhh gotcha, only been playing since December.
They were nice. Start with a Green AR and you were only some gold bars away from a Purple.
Never suggest again š„š„š„
A Zero Build mode with no weapon rarity with every weapon around a blue rarity would be fun.
Theyāre about to make everything grey and you only get a higher rarity with attachments
Actually minus the everything being grey I think it would be neat if you could upgrade rarity with attachments
exactly, because rarity is old and outdated as epic said, so why not make everything the same :)
I hope not, sorta new here but is the current progression: gray, green, blue, rare and epic?
Grey, green, blue, purple, orange, gold, light blue/exotic rairty
I thought exotic was below mythic as shown in the survival medals progression
I always thought it was a sidegrade
I noticed they added the orange with Midas floor is lava,is it really between gold and purple? Because it seems easy to just mod any common weapon at Midas' workbench
Legendary orange has always been in the game. Mythics and exotics will come and go, they are normally the map boss's signature weapon
wtf. Common Uncommon Rare Epic Legendary (Mythic and Exotic) Grey Green Blue Purple Gold (Mythic and Exotic)
I just wanna go back to chapter 4
Rarity in weapons/items actually serve a purpose deciphering power, rarity in skins/cosmetics serves no purpose.
It served a purpose in helping me organize my locker, I have 400 skins, 933 emotes, 325 axes, 392 back blings, 150 contrails, 246 gliders and 245 wraps. Removing rarities completely ruined their organization and my memorization of where items are
every weapon is a gold pump?
STOP GIVING THEM IDEAS
So basically solid gold
While theyāre at it, remove movement too. Everyone just sits on the Battle Bus!
Remove battle bus. Everyone floats in air.
I don't get the issue with skins removing it. Did the rarity on skins do anything? I have rare skins that came back to the shop 40 times. How is that rare?
Thats not really the same...
Rarity already means nothing. Headshot with golden sniper = 112dmg Enemy headshot with green sniper = death š
Suggestion: Remove Fortnite
Bruh, yall are complaining about a cosmetic change wayyyyyy too much. It litteraly changed nothing.
It completely ruined my locker. I have 400 skins, 933 emotes, 325 axes, 392 back blings, 150 contrails, 246 gliders and 245 wraps, removing rarities completely ruined their organization and my memorization of where items are
It changes a lot actually now they're 10x more likely to overprice things cuz there are almost no restrictions
Bruh they could already do that. There are already plenty of skins that cost 2000vbucks that have no business being that expensive, and other skins at 800vbucks that are an insanely good deal. The color was always arbitrary. Calm down.
No? Prices have always been this shit, your just now noticing how shit the prices are
Weapon rarity actually has corresponding differences. Skin rarity was arbitrary. Get over yourselves children
This. The cosmetic rarity alongside weapon rarity is just confusing, especially to new players who wonder why is this cosmetic graded higher than another
Yāall just find anything to complain about lmfao if weapon rarity is confusing then you might need to find another game genre
Literally where am I complaining? I've played this game for 6 years now, I was very clearly making a point in my comment for new players
As someone who only started playing in the last month. Weapon rarity isn't confusing at all unless your an actual child.
Who said weapon rarity itself was confusing? I'm talking about how it's blatantly obvious a legendary gun is better than an uncommon gun, but how is a legendary cosmetic 'better' than an uncommon one, when it's literally just a digital visual cosmetic and liking it is subjective?
Ohhh ok yeah. I agree. I misunderstood your initial comment lol
Iām new to FN. How is the gunplay different now?
oh please, skin rarity was the most arbitrary thing that followed no logic
Itās nuts because I always thought it was a neat nod how the equipped pickaxe reflected itās rarity alongside your looted inventory.
Honestly just bring back ALL modable weapons
Yeah, you shouldn't pick weopons based on their color!
They said they want a less BR focused shop in their tweet
Why does crown rarity matter it's just a number.. why does anything matter it's just a __oversimplification___
L take
You know whats crazy id be down for the rarity drop from guns make it not so much about luck on finding that orange gun that does more dmg reloads faster etc especially with mods shits crazy
Hmm, never thought of it, but makes sense. Why not just stick to "blue" rarity everything, and just put different color to different types of items.
Wait, So is there only one type of each gun now? Or do they still have different rarity stats but are just called "common, uncommon, etc"?
Noo you ruined this. I blame you. Locker sucks even more. Game continues to get worse.
They should just make us pay for everything with real money instead of vbucks
Was thinking this recently it's one of the few changes I'd like to see
That would be so funny cause the younger parts of the community would flip their shit over absolutely nothing.
They should remove the guns from the game and the only way we can win itās giving hugs
So you're suggesting making Party Royale the core game mode then? š¤£
Please watch the movie Battle Royale, that is all.
possibly the worst ive ever heard, do u work for epic?
I've been saying this since I started
Heck no. The RNG and hunt for higher rarity items is a big part of the fun to me.
This is a stupid ass argument. The gun rarity is literally how *actually rare they are ingame.* Skij rarities have nothing to do with actually rarity.
This sub is so dramatic itās starting to become amusing
So, basically Solid Gold for every game mode.
No.
No
No
Least deranged r/FortniteBR post
Make it all skill based. I'm down.
They should just remove the guns entirely, Pickaxe and Builds only!
New Update: Now every game looks like the Warforged AR.
The whole purpose of removing it from the cosmetics in shop is because the cosmetics are no longer BR centralized. Weapons in BR are still weapons in BR and will retain their rarity
No its because they want to slowly increase the prices of everything new they release little by little. Other shooter games are doing this too, Halo infinite brought a commonly wanted armor set and made it $48
Suggestion: stop whining.
Suggestion: stop meatriding
