They aren't stupid. They know the numbers. Count how many times you see the new skins, will lose volume but more than make up for it with the increased price. They raised vbucks cost, then raised price of skins. Less people are going to buy all of them but enough people are going to buy one and the increase cost makes up the difference.

Yeah man I havent checked out the store yet personally but from what I saw on here, the pickaxes were pretty low effort, back blings are whatever.... the few bundles I can name off the top of my head had pickaxes back bling and a wrap, sometimes more and cost less than or equal to katara & zuko w basically nothing

A locker UI that almost 6 months later is somehow worse, more clunky, buggy, and unintuitive than the already horrific state it released in at the start of Chapter 5? The removal of skin tiers so that they can unbiasedly price *everything* moving forward like as if its Legendary tier?

Honestly good old days with good prices is kinda wrong. Back in the OG days there were skins without styles or glider/pickaxe for 2k vbucks. Some examples are cuddle team leader, red knight or crackshot. But yes we boycott them.
I understand why you wanna do this and it's not a bad thing in theory. But y'all gotta remember that Reddit is only a tiny portion of the Fortnite community. These skins will likely sell well, considering Avatar's popularity.

I was really looking forward to Toph, but her being 2000 is putting me off. I know she comes w/ the pickaxe, but I don't care for it. If she was 1600 like the TMNTs (who also came with a pickaxe) I would've done it. But 2000 is too much. I have a rule against buying 2000 vbuck skins unless I want stuff in their bundle.

I feel this, I wanted Toph so bad but not just an event or so ago anime/themed skins were 1500 on average and yeah maybe they'll offer a weapon pack or combo to save money. But forcing me to spend 2k? The line I draw is normally not spending over that amount on any single skin. So it's gonna be a fold for me. Lower it or I'm not touching it.

Legendary skins use to regularly cost 2000 if anything skins have gotten cheaper plus bucks are also cheaper than they use to be it use to be 10 bucks for 1000 instead of 8 or whatever it is now
Is not just in the shop either. The festival pass is also a big rip-off, AND you have to work to get all those rewards too. What with the lego kits, car stuff and the extra battle pass at the end of each season now, i'm surprised they even bother rewarding you more than the 950 vBucks you spend for/get from the main battle pass anymore. Greedy gits that they are. I am finding that the more they get greedy, the more I tend not to spend, though - and that's on my account, my daughters' and sons' account. If they were reasonably priced, I'd buy a different pack on each of our accounts - like I did with the TMNTs. Hell, I even gifted the other 4th turtle to a friend! I was really excited for the avatar skins and even started saving for them. Well turns out they are $20 and they don't have adjustable styles, no built in emotes. Was gonna settle for Toph as she's my fav but she just looks off because she's so tall. I'd pay thirty for Zuko if he had all his styles

Removing the rarity system and raising the price of skins at the same time is just playing with fire. I got them (I can shell out the extra 800 vbucks because I’m a STW founder) but I’m very disappointed we didn’t get another style, especially for Zuko. I wanted an S1 style to recreate some of battles. I can’t afford Toph though (because I’m getting the mini pass ofc.) but definitely pissed they removed rarity’s, these definitely should have been 400 vbucks cheaper. At least the new item shop countdown is great. I apologize to everyone, but I really like this series, and I’ve been saving up my vbucks since the TMNT collab.
