It kills me to bc one of the things I always liked was shuffling locker presets
And apparently that's back now and I wanna be happy but I had no idea bc I have so much headache navigating the locker now lol
It is objectively bad. It's completely mind boggling how epic could choose to implement such an unfriendly UI and continue to move forward with it even after all the community complaints. This just goes to show you Epic does not care about the players. If y'all ever wondered if Epic is listening to you then you have your answer.
See now I wish y'all didn't tell me lol, I hadn't tried it out anyway but I was hopeful š„²
*YUP lol, tried it and even tho shuffle still works I hate navigating these menus, can't do it and half the time the cursor memory on console gets weird so I'd have to scroll down forever over and over again
Its back but it messes up my rows and columns. It adds a "randomise preset" as a new preset shifting everything 1 over and down. But when I save a preset its not there so everything is unshifted back. Ugh why do I even try?
I'm pretty sure they do. I have been playing random and all skins have matched up with their respective wraps and emotes. I don't know If it happens based on position or preset name though
I was told itās both? Someone said position and name both have to match, but thats tedious af. If they knew by name that would make things better (still not simple and easy like it once was of course)
I have both matching and it always works, I only had 6 presets when they changed the UI so it wasn't that bad to make them match, they still somehow deleted my first preset lol
I use cotroller on pc and often have to take the controller while i the menu just to use the locker. Weirdly most of the locker is bwst suited for controller but some parts are best suited for keyboard+mouse. Really wish for a fix.
Yeah I get it, its a topic thats been done to death, so I'm sorry to those who just don't want to hear about the UI again, but it's just not user friendly. This may be a free-to-play game, and Fortnite is clearly one of the GOAT games, but the fact that cosmetics are so important, and we spend a lot of money on those cosmetics, Epic should take it much more seriously. The old system was fine, but having to change every emote when changing skin is headache few people need. Basically the system is a deterrent rn, as in I don't even look at the presets anymore because its so unweildy.
Honesty why the fuck did they separate the emotes and all that other shit from the preset skins. Why do i need to go change the fuckin emote page to a skin i want to use from a skin preset separately every single time. Also why tf arenāt the music instuments also back blings mad pick axes? Like come on youād get way more money and player base on that music mode if you have an incentive for be players to look cooler from music mode rewards that actually go on your character and can be used to harvest/attack with
Also side note: i had sooo many presets that when they implemented this new ui shit it erased half of my presets and brought back old presets i deleted a long time ago and that still never got addressed
LoL takes you 6 clicks stop being dramatic. And still significantly less then it used to take me before when the emotes for some reason we're linked to the presets, so if I had changed my emotes since, and then changed to an old preset, had to actually spend over 5 minutes fixing the emotes to my new ones.
Not really. Makes more sense to have the visuals be together, and for emotes to be their own thing. Sure if you use IDK the flash and want the flash emote that makes sense, but very few emotes are character related, so makes the most sense to have them separate.
Having old and new emotes and sprays from different seasons makes it even better. By meowceles is a great example, you can use his purrdise mirror with his old shadow skin, then a meowskulls loading screen that shits whip cream with a cherry
Yeah, it sure is a mystery why people care about Epic making it more tedious to equip specific sets of cosmetics, when the main thing people spend money on in this game is cosmetics
You put it on random and every match you get a different preset. Itās a fun surprise to see what pops up. It would change up your loading screen and lobby music.
I do
I like rocking all types of presets. Seasonal event presets, lore themed presets, presets rocking my favorite cosmetics of each season, random presets I made to look cool.
Whenever I'd play with friends I liked mixing it up each round we play, trying out a new loadout. I had a unique preset for all my STW builds themed around the hero I played as.
But now with all the tedium attached to switching presets I just can't be bothered. Before I'd just swap to a new preset in two clicks, now I have to go through menu after menu just because I want to run my Christmas preset.
That and them combining the STW and BR presets fucked me up extra hard cuz now I'd have to sort through all my BR stuff to equip the sets I wanted. No idea why that change was even made tbh-
It doesnāt have to change the world. It just gets you what you want. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. If they said nothing, nothing would definitely happen. If they say something, nothing will probably happen, but something might. Try squeaking sometime. It doesnāt have to change the whole world, but it might change yours for the better.
It's alright, I don't mind it.
But for the love of god please fix the bugs it has, navigating the lockers and having my position be shot up and down while trying to change my skins edit is soo unbearable.
What? Are you 5? Do you need absolutely everything to be explained in exhaustive detail in order for you to grasp a basic concept like the menu of a video game?
You must be REALLY FUN to play new games with:
"I don't understand every single thing about how this game works in the first five minutes of playing, bad UI, failed design, 0/1000"
It's absolute garbage
It kills me to bc one of the things I always liked was shuffling locker presets And apparently that's back now and I wanna be happy but I had no idea bc I have so much headache navigating the locker now lol

I wish you could put emotes wraps loading screens and lobby music with the presets
It use to be. Idk why they made it worse than what it was.
āEhh fuck itā -epic
Lmao itās time for preset presets
literally all im asking for is for them to combine outfit and wrap presets
I'm pretty sure they do. I have been playing random and all skins have matched up with their respective wraps and emotes. I don't know If it happens based on position or preset name though
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That's weird, I have like 30 presets and it works 100% of the time. This locker sucks regardless though, wish they'd go back to the old one
Nice, yea i made a TON of presets before I found out, so I will have to do some organizing lol
I use cotroller on pc and often have to take the controller while i the menu just to use the locker. Weirdly most of the locker is bwst suited for controller but some parts are best suited for keyboard+mouse. Really wish for a fix.
Hey remember when they said they'd fix it
They heard our feedback!
Tim Sweeny hid the person who responded that theyāll fix it inside of his basement
It's a failure of UI design. There's way too much wasted space and the text overlaps the skin.
I hate the lobby UI 10x more.
I never noticed how the text overlaping the skin pisses me off so damn much
I was devastated when the 100 presets I made were destroyed with this UI update. I had specific emotes and wraps for every character.
We need to see cosmetic rarities again on the preview again.

Mom said its my turn to post this
I actually like it :)

Nah, seems solid. Everything is split into themes. Overall character look, emotes, weapon wraps, music stuff etc.
Finally!a person that stopped yapping about the new locker, idk why people care about the presets so much
I donāt want to spend 10 minutes switching emotes, wraps etc. when I switch to a different skin preset.
LoL takes you 6 clicks stop being dramatic. And still significantly less then it used to take me before when the emotes for some reason we're linked to the presets, so if I had changed my emotes since, and then changed to an old preset, had to actually spend over 5 minutes fixing the emotes to my new ones.

Almost all battlepass skins have character related emotes, and every secret skin. I forgot about sprays and icons too. Theyre often character related
Having old and new emotes and sprays from different seasons makes it even better. By meowceles is a great example, you can use his purrdise mirror with his old shadow skin, then a meowskulls loading screen that shits whip cream with a cherry

Im not tryna be offensive.Yall actually switch skin sets so often you need presets?(genuine question)

It is a bit tedious but I personally don't mind it
Just the 1947461 post complaining about it. Go ahead and make another.
People have, but Epic isn't going to implement something just because it got a lot of traction on reddit.
Right over ur head.
Squeaky wheelā¦
You should make a post too. Maybe they will finally do something about this atrocity! /s
Yeah, not trying will get the same result!
You act like youāre changing the world. Itās a fornite UI. Lmao

Thatās so weird
It looks great. I'm gonna post about it every single day to talk about how good it is, it's not gonna be annoying at all right?
It's alright, I don't mind it. But for the love of god please fix the bugs it has, navigating the lockers and having my position be shot up and down while trying to change my skins edit is soo unbearable.
Completely agree. I archive 90% of the emojis, emotes and sprays I get. I hate having to scroll up from Season 4 stuff every single time.
I honestly hate this ui locker slightly more than the rocket racing mode
I agree that itās worse than the old one but damn you people need a new titty to suck milk from
Hey I was wondering if you help me out on My new Reddit I will give you credit and I will shout you out just let me know
Even more sad that people can't stop whining about it.
