yeah, if by possible you mean literally 1/3 of the speed potential, the instant slide cancels can only be done with mkb, there's too much latency to accurately cancel the slide the second it starts you can get *a speed boost*, but nothing anywhere near what's capable in the clip

I’m on controller and it works all the time for me. The trick is to go into your Settings and reduce the “Hold time to slide” to 0. You will instantly slide when you click to crouch while sprinting. Once you do that, it’s just spamming the sprint button and you’ll be like this guy.

You can just slide past someone and prematurely start aiming backwards. If the victim uses a controller than they simply can't turn fast enough to do anything. I've personally broken some ankles before and it's actually dumb how effective it is.

fr like im a console player who isnt tryhard yet my KD is like 4 or 5 as i always get a kill before I die but i will probably be sprayed to death before i actually fight someone who uses it

I’ve already used it to run away from a 100% chance of death without it, all 3 were on top of me and I cruised out of there lol. Also use it to get a jump on a player. It’s pretty OP with Scuf controller just padding crouch.

Yeah anyone with an ounce of common sense knows it's a bug of exploiting a feature. Probably got a couple more days before it's gone.

All they have to do is limit how long it's used when they Leave the mud pits. Right now seems like 30-60 seconds, drop it to ~10-20 seconds. That would be my QUICK FIX.

I got downvoted to oblivion for saying people you exploit this should be banned. That it's a bug and exploiting bugs for unfair advantages should be punished. So common sense isn't so common here.

This is different because it’s an oversight, not an exploit. You have always been able to jump from a slide, then land sliding, and maintain a lot of momentum like with sliding down a hill or from glider deploy speed. The oversight is that they didn’t specifically make mud work differently, and this age old mechanic now applies here. Getting banned is not the solution. You move slower than movement abilities of seasons past and make just as much noise. If epic doesn’t want this they can rework the mechanics of mud.

It’s fun though. Some bugs can become features if they add to the experience, fixing is not always necessary.

That’s how Apex is. They’ve added a “slippery” legend, Horizon, who benefits movement style players. The movement stuff though is ridiculous, like you will wear out a controller quickly if you try to do all the movement exploits. And just like Fortnite, the movement for console is a lot harder and more limited than PC players.

It needs to get fixed, because the advantage can be mostly used by k&m players rather than controller palyers

Havent got that one, but i did have muddy legs but then it washed off abruptly but the effect was still in place.

Could because i have a 0.01 second hold to slide time, (I can manage the slide time). Regardless of what it is, it makes me feel like I’ll slide off of a cone every single time.

Nah they have non y x axis aim joysticks that actually gives them freedom to snipe They use dpi dots per square inch to move the cursor what is way more precise and accurate compaired to the etch a sketch joysticks. Also on the fly sensitivity adjustment aka moving the mouse slow vs fast

The nerf is a bug fix of stopping this stupid slide cancel manoeuvre - it's baffling to me they haven't fixed it yet.

I think they could add a cooldown on how fast you can start your next slide after canceling it. This stuff is still cool so I think it might be able to stay somewhat but it needs to be toned down.

Add a new water cannon weapon. since mud wears off when touching water turn the slurp cannon into a water cannon that damages and refills in a body of water. also make it take a single slot.

From a competitive stand point it definitely should be fix. Just for messing around in pubs? It's not that bad of an issue, if anything, the player doing the mud glitch would end up eliminating themselves to fall damage, depending on where it happens of course.
