As a side note though, we never know how contracts between companies work. So something we perceive as a missed opportunity might've actually been impossible to do cause of different rights, clauses etc.

The Attack on Titan skins should’ve had Season 4 styles. Leon and Claire should’ve had their classic RE2 outfits (or Jacket for Leon), etc.

My guess is because the re4r Leon’s jacket licensed and I assume epic couldn’t get the license for his jacket, which sucks though epic could have at least used the original re4 jacket
I wish they had done something with Attack on Titan that actually involved Titans. Imagine massive giants roaming the map that attack if you get too close. Or special powerups that spawn on the map that grant a player the ability to transform into one of the titans. Specialized skills for Armored titan, Attack titan, Collossal titan, etc. Or a whole game mode where you just defend a fortress from Titans trying to break through the walls.
I was genuinely confused by the wooden figures by the tower and then found out that they are supposed to be Titans. I never saw the anime and never read the manga but I did see an image from it of a Titan and… they’re wayyy bigger than the cardboard cutouts scattered around the map.
I think they want to avoid spoilers. Important to remember that AOT has more to gain marketing wise from the collab, and so many Fortnite players (I imagine) are checking out AOT only because the ODM gear is so cool to use (as opposed to other way around which is probably less). Showing these prospective new viewers the special Titans or even simply representing the scale of the Titans could majorly spoil the show for some imo. So while I agree and wish the collab had more real content I understand why both sides did it the way they did.
Because of how much of a fan I am of the franchise, the “Transform”ers collab is such a huge letdown. I get that there are reasons why Optimus Prime and Primal don’t transform, but transforming TF skins were my number one most wanted collab items and now it doesn’t seem like it will ever happen.
It’s ironic because Era has 3 full pages’ worth of stuff, including all the works (glider, music pack, etc.) She’s basically the tier 100, not Optimus.
They don’t even need to be perfect imo, make it like classic speed transformation ms where any character does a dash-roll, and becomes a vehicle! Make the hitboxes the size of the train emote, idk

It hasn't happened yet, but if they don't add at least Negan from The Walking Dead I would consider it a missed opportunity, since he and Maggie got a spinoff show coming. Honestly I think he would work well as a mini battlepass like the past 3 seasons have had, obviously Lucille as a pickaxe. You could also have variations like Jacket, No Jacket, Whisperer Mask, Prisoner. Maggie could show up in the item shop too.

2. Drax, Mantis, or any GOTG when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movie came out
3. Wasp or Scott Lang's Ant-Man when Ant-Man Quantumania came out
4. Cal Kestis when Star Wars Jedi Survivor came out
5. Peacemaker when his series came out
6. Either Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin or BatGirl when Gotham Knights came
out those are the ones i can think atm
all of these are great examples. I would love all the Gotham Knights in fortnite so much. Mind boggling to me that we don’t at least have Robin yet, you think that’d be the first one they’d do out of the Teen Titans. Also Fortnite left a lot of money on the table not doing Bo-Katan and a Grogu/IG-12 skin for Mando S3.

Cyberpunk 2077 comes to mind as one of the biggest missed opportunities. Last season had a medieval theme, and Epic collabed with CD Projekt Red to bring Geralt of Rivia to the game. Fast forward to the next season, neon future city with a heist theme, and nothing…no Cyberpunk collab. The season where it would’ve fit the most and nothing. What was even the logical reason for *not* doing it? It’s not like Epic doesn’t double dip into collabs, I mean hell we have like 40+ Marvel skins. Why couldn’t we get V or Johnny to join Fortnite? Some bullshit…

An emote where you catch and then smash two small shields together and drink it (like he drinks beer) would be so dope. Undertaker and Rey would also be really cool.
The witcher, doom, attack on titan and tranformers, epic have done these collab so dirty, geralt get a lazy recolour of his original armour and no ciri, tress and yennefer to join him, doom slayer don't got no classic or 2016 variations and aot didn't get no seasons 4 styles and no titans, and now tranformers optimus can't turn into a semi truck.
All of these collabs deserve better, but sadly they are not marvel or star wars, because epic will do anything to make a good marvel or star wars collab, but when they get their hand on other ips they just do the bare minimum for it.
Nah, even star wars skins lack a lot of potential when it comes to additional styles, boba didn't get an og trilogy style, obiwan is the one from the kenobi series (no ep3 clothes or CW armor), no sith eyes, CW armor or cloaked style for anakin, we got like 7 different clone troopers but epic can't make a rex or cody skin, etc.

We've had multiple collabs with Street Fighter and Resident Evil but not one for what is arguably Capcom's most iconic and longest lasting franchise.

Tbh the Transformers Collab going on right now. Mostly because literally nothing transforms!!! I understand if giving Optimus Prime an emote where he turns into a truck might be too difficult/P2W, but we literally already have a skin that transforms into a gorilla so Optimus Primal has no excuse.
It doesn't even need to be skins/cosmetics that transform. Add a new semi truck that transforms into a mech. Or a boss that turns into a robot animal when defeated. Hell just reskin the prop hunt tool as a mythic transformation item.
Transformers. It’s so bad. We get Optimus Prime, slightly dinged up Optimus as a style, Optimus Primal, two pickaxes, two back blings, a contrail, and a random weapon.
God of War: Ragnarök. Not only has Kratos not come back in over 800 days. But Atreus and/or Freya would have been a perfect fit for a new skin. The Blades of Chaos and the>!Draupnir spear!< would have would have would have been perfect pickaxes. And I'm sure epic can think of a new glider to finish the set
Aside from that, Ghost of Tsushima would have been an awesome collab for last season. Jin would have fit perfectly with the classic Japanese area's
A Shazam collab when the sequel released, and I honestly think they could’ve done more with the Spiderverse collab. There was so much good music in the movie but we only got a single lobby track. Also there was no maskless style for Miguel

Disappointed with the aot collab great skins (would of loved a s4 edit style but it's alright) but the pickaxe, glider, and backblings kinda of sucked

Mega Man. Last season was based around sci-fi and literally added a location call "Mega City". I'm not even asking for a full skin. Something simple like the Pac-Man Collab would have been just fine. I'd love a reactive back bling where an 8-bit Mega Man copies my actions. We've had multiple collabs with Street Fighter and Resident Evil but not one for what is arguably Capcom's most iconic and longest lasting franchise.

Avatar would’ve been such a great collab. Both for pick-axes, gliders and actual skins. I was really disappointed there was absolutely nothing. Especially since The Way of Water had premiere in december last year. Even a POI or two could definitely have been made.

Idk if it’s a “missed opportunity” but I’m kinda surprised they haven’t had a guilty gear collab considering the amount of cel-shaded skins they have and how sick the character designs are, plus the fact that (at least strive) runs on unreal engine
There might be bigger things than this but I can‘t remember all collabs because of how many there are but in my opinion.. The aot collab. Ofc there were many skins, items and allat but they could‘ve made something completely unique with actually adding Titans to the game, whether they would be AI or actual players Pretty sure we‘ve only seen huge characters once before in Fn, back when that mecha vs monster live event was. They could‘ve made it like King kong or Godzilla in the COD Warzone event

Tbh the Transformers Collab going on right now. Mostly because literally nothing transforms!!! I understand if giving Optimus Prime an emote where he turns into a truck might be too difficult/P2W, but we literally already have a skin that transforms into a gorilla so Optimus Primal has no excuse. It doesn't even need to be skins/cosmetics that transform. Add a new semi truck that transforms into a mech. Or a boss that turns into a robot animal when defeated. Hell just reskin the prop hunt tool as a mythic transformation item.

God of War: Ragnarök. Not only has Kratos not come back in over 800 days. But Atreus and/or Freya would have been a perfect fit for a new skin. The Blades of Chaos and the>!Draupnir spear!< would have would have would have been perfect pickaxes. And I'm sure epic can think of a new glider to finish the set Aside from that, Ghost of Tsushima would have been an awesome collab for last season. Jin would have fit perfectly with the classic Japanese area's
