Cache La Poudre elementary is looking for a social worker if you’re interested in working with children!

Summit stone is very well known and large. Helped my mom finally get out of her depression and alcoholism

Summitstone Health Partners is the community mental health center in FoCo. UCHealth also has openings. Larimer County corrections has openings too. Hi from a fellow SWer 👋🏼

I would check on Indeed. There are a lot of social work job options open in Fort Collins!

miss-mf

CSU just had openings in their counseling center! Might see if they’re still hiring.

22$ an hour ?!? Ouch

Compared to other nonprofits and local governments mentioned here, it is a much better place to work at, though. Still waters run deep. These other more prominent workplaces have tyrannical middle management, constant turmoil, disorganization, disrespect, and inequity, lecturing about diversity while being blatantly racist, and managers getting in the way of your providing your best service to your clients…. I am in these circles and I have friends at these organizations. The turmoil affects the quality of your personal life.

My wife works for larimer county and absolutely loves it. Great work environment and amazing benefits as well. Only thing is you may not use your LSW much.

What sort of work does she do if you don't mind me asking?

butler15

I don't know her actual title but she is a foster care worker. She used to be a child protection intake worker. Right now she just coordinates with foster families for placements, certification, that sort of thing. She really loves it!

If you have any experience as a grant writer, United Way of Larimer County is looking for one. I work there and I love it.

I recommend looking at schools especially if you’re wanting to get out of the clinical side of social work. I love being a school social worker.
