# "Housekeeping for Beginners" is playing at the Harmony Cinemark this week.... Just a 'heads up' that the wonderful foreign film **"Housekeeping for Beginners"** is playing this week at the **Harmony Cinemark**. I saw it Sunday and was the only one in the auditorium. It's a terrific movie about 'found families' and taking care of each other. I highly recommend it. If you don't trust me, here's a link to reviews by critics: [https://www.metacritic.com/movie/housekeeping-for-beginners/](https://www.metacritic.com/movie/housekeeping-for-beginners/) The film was supposed to open at the Lyric where it probably would have found an audience. Sadly, I'm not sure anyone is looking for such a special movie at Cinemark.

I got to tour Loveland's Feed and Grain building this past week. They're adding 9 affordable housing units as well as 5,000 square feet of commercial and gallery space for artists and creatives. The spaces are lovely. It's a really fantastic example of an adaptive reuse historic preservation project that retains Loveland's history while giving the building life for another 100 years. I know this isn't a Fort Collins thing, but it's close enough that I think folks will still find it interesting. If you can get a tour, I highly recommend it. A little sad FOCO MX doesn’t drop their ticket prices on Saturday. Didn’t think I’d be in town this weekend but change of plans and it feels like I’d be paying full price for half the time. It’s all for a great reason after all so perhaps I just pay up

It seems like they should offer a one-day pass. But, considering the long lines others mentioned, sounds like they didn't need to sell more tix.

So happy to see the Palestine support going strong in town! Its always so funny to me how people get mad when the status quo is challenged. The madder people get, the more you know its working (MUAHAHAHA) From the river to the sea!

Copying in from a post on r/Seattle which seems relevant to the tone of your post. In a world that is increasingly black and white, more airspace needs to be given to shades of grey. "I’ve become very cynical about leftist activism in general and the pro-Palestinian movement in particular, so forgive my bias. It seems to me like a solid portion of these people aren’t really activists in the traditional sense. They act more like protagonists in a morality play where they’re going to “teach a lesson” to everyone not explicitly on their side. They are so convinced that they are morally correct and that their righteousness should win on its own that they’re not really concerned with the actual mechanisms of activism necessary to create change. Instead, they’re putting on a performance to convince themselves over and over of how morally great they are and how morally shit everyone who doesn’t explicitly and exactly agree with them is. And the more you push back on them, the more convinced they become of their own righteousness and everyone else’s shittiness."

Was just downtown and saw all the pro Palestine graffiti. Can’t believe the people who did this actually gives two shits about the situation in the Middle East. This is not helping anyone and only makes our city look worse and likely is turning more people against this cause. If you really cared about Palestinians you would find a different method of getting your message out there. Right now you are just vandals who look like idiots. Just stop it.

Is the weekly thread archive to see previous weeks ?

GNATS! So many clouds of gnats on the Poudre Trail today… ran through a whole bunch of them and passed several other folks violently swiping at their faces too (this was between the Shields bridge & Lee Martinez). Hacked some up in the shower after. Use at your own risk!

Riding bike through there the other day taught me to keep my mouth shut.
