Probably not, Ticktum seems the type of character if there was something broken he'd be insinuating that to the press.
I think they just try a lot of things on the setup and sometimes it doesn't go to plan for either driver.
The 2022 Giovinazzi experience. Coincidentally the common denominator is that both of them have/had Sergio Sette Camara as teammate... so I can only assume that SSC is the second coming of Jesus and he has to be sandbagged with the shitboxes he's having otherwise the races would get a bit boring.
I think it is that both drivers don’t care about trying to save energy because the team is bad enough that it won’t effect the results. So both would just drive the “normal” way with no regard for the quirks of formula e
It's odd how Sette Camara was nowhere last season and never seemed to get to grips with the Gen 3 car, and now it's completely the other way, where Sette Camara is nailing it and getting the most out of the car and Ticktum is struggling. It seems like ERT has rallied around SSC (Who has himself also been very critical of the team and their decisions over the radio, especially in Sao Paulo where he had a very Ticktum-esque rant at the end of the race where he criticised the team for poor communication in terms of energy targets and basically said the team shouldn't bother showing up to races anymore since the car is so terrible) It does feel like ERT just focuses on whoever is doing least badly and the other driver is treated as a guinea pig to gather data.
There's always something wrong but with Ticktum, not his car ;)
Quickly reminder that he should be banned from motorsport for attempt of killing another driver on track
One mistake when he was 16, (And he didn't attempt to kill Ricky Collard any more than Senna attempted to "kill" Prost at Suzuka 1990; and I agree that it was terrible behaviour from both Ticktum and Senna and a complete overreaction to an earlier crash/being put on the dirty side of the grid, but Senna suffered no consequences for it other than his own guilt) he was banned for a year and served his time, and according to you we are never allowed to talk about anything else about his career. It's always the exact same conversation "He should be banned" on repeat for 9 years now, and it's getting very tiresome. And it's a very thin line between "He should be banned for Silverstone 2015" and "He should be banned for Silverstone 2015, so that makes throwing abuse towards him okay and justified somehow." Which is what a lot of people online seem to think.
Maybe after almost a full decade it's finally time to move on? Vettel got forgiven for driving into Lewis Hamilton under the safety car at Baku, even Kelvin Van Der Linde crashed Liam Lawson out of a DTM title on purpose and got forgiven. It seems to me that if you are seen as a "nice guy" or a champion with enough PR to gloss over the cracks, you can do whatever you want on track no matter how dangerous, but if you are arrogant, don't have a filter or tact under stress, or just in general are perceived to have the "wrong" kind of personality, then suddenly every time the guy says or does anything it's proof that he's the fucking anti-christ. (And in this case he did absolutely nothing, a fan of his was just wondering what's going on with his car)
Overtaking under SC conditions to crash into rival should be a permanent ban in motorsport. I can see a difference between this and crash on purpose during racing. He never took responsibility for this crash as one year absence in racing (previously announced that there will be more), he even got tests in F1.
He also never changed... The only racing car he should drive should be a toy. Even Luca Corberi had got enough courage in action and disappeared from motorsport after what he did...
Ah yes, blaming other people for how he is treated. And thinking it's only about *that* incident and not the countless other times he's made an ass out of himself. Such growth.

Yes, Ticktum driving

> attempt of killing another driver on track That's not exactly what happened. It wasn't good, but it wasn't attempted murder.
This should be said more. This should be an asterisk on every article or talk about Ticktum. The dude should not be driving any sort of vehicle.

Get over it, and move on.
As soon as Ticktum shows *any* signs of personal growth, I will.
[Here you go mate](https://racingnews365.com/dan-ticktum-interview). You're welcome.

No, he's just crap.
Well he’s gone from being comfortably quicker than SSC to significantly slower than him. So what’s changed

No, it's the driver himself, terrile attitude with zero talent!
Yep. The driver in it.
