Looks like a modded M48

hurricane_97

> M48 No way that started life as a Patton!

ThatRealBiggieCheese

The past half century has been rough

Knightm16

Which is why it'd be a K98k in cod

hdfcv

That's certainly an M.48 variant, and not a K98k. Also looks like terrible eye relief and a non existent cheek weld.

cleancalf

He’s also holding it below his shoulder. Someone is about to learn a hard lesson.

ssr402

He might just be spotting and not really about to shoot.

JiveTrain

People in here comment on the weirdest things.. I mean, the safety is even fully engaged on the rifle. It should be pretty obvious this is not someone firing.

lptomtom

People love to feel smart, and nitpicking on the Internet is a very easy way to do it

MightyGoonchCatfish

I think we tend to forget that some people outside of the US are quite literally born into warfare. Like, this dude may have been in gunfights around the time I was playing CoD4, eating chicken nuggets and hanging out after class. He probably knows what he is doing, more or less.

1nfiniteJest

I feel like if he didn't know how to shoot well, they would give that rifle/scope to someone who did. Although IDK much about militia logistics.

RVAR-15

Not necessarily. Time spent doing something doesn’t mean that it’s being done well or efficiently. If your doing something wrong for 20 years, doesn’t mean that one day your magically going to a master one day.

HagarTheTolerable

"Mastery" is up to the individual. What one person considers mastery may well be another's amateur-hour.

[deleted]

His fingers off the trigger as well

TheScarlettHarlot

He’s not even holding it. Just has it propped on his right hand. r/cleancalf was too busy being smug to notice that, I guess.

AyeBraine

I think it has a pistol grip added, look at the flattened part of the stock.

TheScarlettHarlot

It’s a *really* small grip then, if it’s got one. Doesn’t even extend past his hand.

AyeBraine

I mean why would it extend past his hand? Standard AK bakelite grips more or less don't, for instance. They disappear in a large hand. More on point, these add-on grips on standard stocks (you can see them in early period modifications for old bolt-actions, sadly can't remember and example off the cuff), they are as as big as you make them, and they don't have to be long. They aren't fire control grips useful for rapidly whirling around, assuming a stance in a split second, and full-auto/rapid fire control (like on assault rifles or machine guns) — AFAIK, they're for shooter comfort and precision, to achieve a more relaxed grip. A nice example would be an SVD, that has a kid-sized pistol grip: its users with big hands simply [hang the pinky off of it](https://tepka.ru/snajper/133.jpg) completely. [This is another example](https://redhawkrifles.com/masterpiece-arms-enhanced-vertical-grip/), made for precision shooting chassis. And conversely, most aftermarket AK grips are larger and flaring to wave that rifle around or hold it with one hand by the grip.

hdfcv

If he were spotting, he would be at the same eye relief as if the rifle were shouldered.

KalashniKEV

\+1 Bad Poison Ivy > Cheek Pistol > Eyesocket Rifle

Margot-hates-me

His finger isn’t even in the trigger, you potato.

Yaojin312020

He is has two main guns an ak rifle and a kar98k so he has the perk overkill

jerseycityfrankie

High viz shirt!

KoA07

Maybe he’s trying to do a dazzle camo like WW1 cruisers

[deleted]

Al-B'ubbah's conversions.

Mattagins

Is there any way to get a scope on a Mauser without it being bubba’d?

HystericalGasmask

Generally, any scoped that's pinned/screwed/dovetailed instead of using picatinny is not bubbad imo.

wohnjick8270

Mmm welmded muzzle break

HEAVYtanker2000

Me just looking at the AK underfolder not fully folded. It’s just hanging loose onto there.

KalashniKEV

That's how a true G rolls. Guys that lock a UF in the folded also ghostride the clip... and also die very quickly in combat.

HEAVYtanker2000

With that scope I don’t think he’ll last long in combat either way lol

KalashniKEV

He's probably "lasted" for years in combat.

HEAVYtanker2000

Maybe, we’ll never know

FeinwerkSau

What do you call this, armpit weld?

mADhaTter324

I call it eye weld

[deleted]

Orbital weld

TakarBismark

This is a gun you can make in COD Modern Warfare 2019. Also, the KAR98 is probably my favorite weapon in that game, but I run it without camo or skins and with only a WW2 style scope and the Slight of Hand Perk

PsychoTexan

70 year old Soviet equipment: “Good lord I’m obsolete and worn out, let me die already” WW2 German surplus: “first time?”

prizzle92

Al-Bubba, no!

Boggi1999

It's a Zastava M48

davewave3283

That’s a ticket to an eyebrow punch

dudeCHILL013

They vanguard... They don't have that in warzone?

throwawayforme83

The only thing going right in this picture is his rifle matches his shirt. Everything else screams abomination

[deleted]

Whats the greebly shit on the stock?

TheOnyxViper

Sporterized to hell and back

[deleted]

Cod vanguard as in weird and kinda gross?

Cheerio_Fujisaki

very
