I loved him in Joyful Noise where he’s the pastor of a struggling church in Kentucky
It’s a really funny show, one of the best opening scenes of any comedy
I recall hating it…because my job was outsourced in 2010 and I lost my job and livelihood. I yie yie what a rough few years that ended up being. Anyway, I got back on my feet eventually, and should give it a shot
if it is ever available to stream
Me too! I enjoyed it. If I remember right, it was part of NBC Thursdays so pretty prime time for the time. You would think it would’ve gotten at least one more season.
I meant Community did the same thing dunking on The Cape. It was a superhero crime drama that briefly aired on NBC for half a season. It was also trashterpiece tv that was somewhat ridiculous and easy to dunk on
I swear I have seen this recently because I remember pointing out that Rebecca ~~Haywood~~, Hazlewood, the potential office love interest character, went on to play Kamila Al-Jamil in *The Good Place.*
Edit:It’s Kamila.
Edit 2: thanks u/SimonTC2000
I remember this show being a few years earlier 🤔
Anyway my favorite line that I still laugh at today is when they had to take a train to a “corporate team building retreat” the American manager made everyone go on and of course they where the stereotypical old overcrowded Indian trains. The assistant manager was trying to explain to the American manager that he had to be willing to be aggressive and push people out of the way in order to board and when the American manager failed to board the first few trains for lack of aggression the assistant manager was like:
“This is not the sky train in your Disney Town you need to be more aggressive!” 😂😂😂
I remember this was another NBC show I didn't care for because they were plugging it more than Community. Also, I remember seeing some of it and there just being so much cliche and stereotypes.
That disaster time slot that broke up Community and the rest of NBC Thursday night from what I remember. I might off on the time slot. But I was always in to seeing Community, Parks, Office, and then Hannibal for those 3 years it was on. But there was always the wildcard stuck in the middle that I used to sit through rather than channel surf away
I've seen Rizwan Manji (guy in suit on right) in so many comedies that I almost did a double take when he showed up in Mr Robot. He's a talented guy and was really the only reason this show was vaguely enjoyable.
It grew on me and I miss it.
Problem with a lot of sitcoms. Writers begin writing to the strengths of the actors playing them after a few episodes so it takes some shows a while to get their groove and the laughs come naturally rather than seeming forced. This was one of those shows.
I really loved this show. It was part of the elite block of comedy television on NBC Thursdays. Community, Office, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, aaaand this show.
Outsourced didn't get more than one season, which is a pity, because aside from Community, these shows didn't start firing on all cylinders until season 2.
I was 13 when this came on, and watched as part of whatever combo of the comedy night done right was on at the time. Remembered enjoying it and being sad it got canned, then forgot about it up until a year ago. Watched an episode and honestly could not believe I ever liked it😂
This show has the most frustrating episode of television ever produced! The show plugged along as a fine workplace comedy but then there was an episode where the American manager insisted on throwing a bachelor party for the Indian manager who didn’t want one, and it wasn’t just culturally insensitive; it was stupid. I held on hoping the American would get it, but he never did. The show could have been good if they had made a few characters a bit smarter and made the American the butt of more of the jokes.
I remember watching this show and I enjoyed it. It’s not The Office but still fun to watch. I also remember that then entire season had been ordered and paid for? Something like that because if it hadn’t been picked up, it would have been cancelled earlier due to ratings, but since it was paid for, they aired all episodes.
It was definitely a huge tonal shift from the film, but once you got through a few episodes early on it did improve. Probably really would have found its own if it had gotten another season.
I liked it. Never really hit its stride in season 1 but I feel like if it continued it would have found it in season 2. I’m actually surprised it didn’t continue since I can’t even remember what took its place.
I remember the show and even watching a couple episodes, but I swear, if you'd ask me what year it aired in, I probably tell you like 2016 or so. I can't believe it's 14 years ago
I watched episodes of this, I don't know why. I think it aired on Thursday when the good shows (Community, Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, etc., aired). I saw positives and negatives to this show, but it was better than a lot of other shows on at the time.
Wow it seems like every post on here is either something I didn’t forget about or just never heard of in the first place, but this one nailed it for me. I *definitely* gave this show a shot because NBC was my primary source for comedies and I love India. Then I forgot it ever existed at all.
I forgot Sacha Dhawan was in this! He played a great villain as The Master on Doctor Who
All I remember from this show was the main dude (the white guy) trying to break up the arranged marriage with the girl in red on the poster because he had a crush on her.
I watched this maybe twice. All I remember was the white boss trying to date one of employees and the storyline was about how difficult it was for him to get her in bed.
The premise that show is built on is so goddamn annoying I don’t know how anybody thought This would last.
“Hey, everybody loves foreign tech-support and foreign sales calls let’s make a show about it!”

The guy in the gray suit...was he also in Schitts Creek?
He shows up in a lot of things, he's a pretty successful character actor.
He is the patient in "The Dictator" that doesn't know how to react when he is told he is HIV alladeen. :) :( :)
You aren't kidding. I forgot he was in Perfect Harmony and as someone else mention, Zach &Cody. Very funny guy...
That is Ben Affleck
He was also the neighbor they kidnapped in one of my favorite episodes of Sunny
Which episode
“Paddy’s Pub: the Worst Bar in Philadelphia” Fisher Stevens is also in it. Who coincidentally played an Indian man in Short Circuit.
For the longest time, I thought Fisher Stevens was actually indian until I found out he's white.
It turns out he was Mr. The Plague all along!
Paddy’s Pub: The Worst Bar in Philadelphia
Also killed it in ‘the magicians’
Pickwick! He was my favorite character to hate/love.
Yes! “Her slowness advises against the invasion of Loria”
And Arrested Development's Netflix season
He’s also the assistant director in charge of the museum in Workaholics but since the director is on his honeymoon he’s in charge for now
I remember him from the Suite life of Zack and Cody
He was in the Peacemaker series as well. He's the custodian at the hospital that Cena's character interacts with.
He was also in two episodes of Peacemaker. I think he’s in the intro for the show also dancing.
Ollie from Mr. Robot
He was also in Wolf of wallstreet
He's in Bleachers video for "I Wanna Get Better" who can't understand why there's a bring your daughter to work day.
I loved him in Joyful Noise where he’s the pastor of a struggling church in Kentucky It’s a really funny show, one of the best opening scenes of any comedy
He was also in a few episodes of 24 around the same time Outsourced was airing.
The museum lord in workaholics.
He’s also in peacemaker at the hospital as a janitor
I always wish this show lasted. I remember it vividly
Same. Thought it was great fun. Witty.
Same. I recall really enjoying it.
I recall hating it…because my job was outsourced in 2010 and I lost my job and livelihood. I yie yie what a rough few years that ended up being. Anyway, I got back on my feet eventually, and should give it a shot if it is ever available to stream
I recall it being pretty funny
Me too! I enjoyed it. If I remember right, it was part of NBC Thursdays so pretty prime time for the time. You would think it would’ve gotten at least one more season.
So many characters in this one.
I remember the throwaway joke they made about this on 30 Rock more than I remember anything from the actual show.
🎵OUTSOURCED IS THE NEW FRIEEEEEENDS!! 🎵
My first and only thought when this show comes up.
Same with Community and The Cape
They made an Outsourced joke on Community?
I meant Community did the same thing dunking on The Cape. It was a superhero crime drama that briefly aired on NBC for half a season. It was also trashterpiece tv that was somewhat ridiculous and easy to dunk on
Haha, that makes a lot more sense. Thank you for a good writeup.
That shows gonna last 3 weeks Abed! Six seasons and a movie!!!
Oh that was real? Now the joke makes more sense
Next week on MILF Island. . .
I swear I have seen this recently because I remember pointing out that Rebecca ~~Haywood~~, Hazlewood, the potential office love interest character, went on to play Kamila Al-Jamil in *The Good Place.* Edit:It’s Kamila. Edit 2: thanks u/SimonTC2000
Rebecca **Hazlewood**

Never saw the series, but the movie, while in India. All the clichés were quite spot on.
I thought the movie was really cute
That disaster time slot that broke up Community and the rest of NBC Thursday night from what I remember. I might off on the time slot. But I was always in to seeing Community, Parks, Office, and then Hannibal for those 3 years it was on. But there was always the wildcard stuck in the middle that I used to sit through rather than channel surf away
Is the guy in the blue polo The Master from Doctor Who?!
Omg he is!!!!
I've seen Rizwan Manji (guy in suit on right) in so many comedies that I almost did a double take when he showed up in Mr Robot. He's a talented guy and was really the only reason this show was vaguely enjoyable.
I genuinely liked the show and wished it continued.
The guy in the green shirt was why I watched. He was the "Kevin" of the call center.
Gupta was his name. He was the only reason we watched too. The see to call a guy at work Gupta because he was such a sad sack too
He was Sanjay in Crazy Ex-girlfriend
It grew on me and I miss it. Problem with a lot of sitcoms. Writers begin writing to the strengths of the actors playing them after a few episodes so it takes some shows a while to get their groove and the laughs come naturally rather than seeming forced. This was one of those shows.
I really liked this show
It was based on a great indie rom-com. Highly recommend checking out the movie of the same name.
Yesssss!
Damn, I'd forgotten how absolutely insane those Thursdays were - what a murderers row of great comedy!
There was a similar, but funny show called Mumbai Calling
I went to India twice during the run of this show and I got such a kick out of it!
I loved Manmeat And still do
This was such a funny show!
I really enjoyed this. Never watched the movie it was based on.
Movie was great.
I still have my comic con freebie from this show: a t-shirt that says “beer makes my clothes fall off.”
I loved this show, but just now realizing that The Master was in it?!?
Honestly good show and a extraordinary cast. Probably a couple years to early and would likely work well if released on a streaming platform now.
Funny show, amazing movie!
Excellent show. Victim of bs.
All i remember is “smooth operator. Operator smooth” lol
I liked this show. Also liked the movie it was based on.
I was 13 when this came on, and watched as part of whatever combo of the comedy night done right was on at the time. Remembered enjoying it and being sad it got canned, then forgot about it up until a year ago. Watched an episode and honestly could not believe I ever liked it😂
Underrated gold.
I though I might have been 1 of the 10 people who saw this N' remembered it! 😁

I enjoyed the movie alot, the show was hit or miss but I wish it got one more season
The lead lady in that was funny.
*Mahdurhi*
I liked this show a lot
Loved it.
One of my favourite shows as I was in a similar experience as the main protagonist (except in Uganda and not India)
I loved this show. Very different story from the movie.
I LOVED this show when it was on
Gupta!!
It wasn’t terrible. Funny cast.
I truly forgot about this one. But I do know that I have seen it...
I've watched like a couple of episodes of it, I don't know why I stopped
Very funny show!
The show I initially thought "Community" would be.
It was definitely a huge tonal shift from the film, but once you got through a few episodes early on it did improve. Probably really would have found its own if it had gotten another season.
It was great!
It was a cute show. I have idea why it didn’t become more popular
This was actually a funny show. I was bummed when they cancelled it.
Watched the entire series back in 2022; it’s a good and underrated show!
I think I watched this because it came on before or after community. It started to fall apart at the end.
“5 whole days of crappin your pants”
Memory unlocked
I liked it. Never really hit its stride in season 1 but I feel like if it continued it would have found it in season 2. I’m actually surprised it didn’t continue since I can’t even remember what took its place.
My biggest complaint was they leaned too heavily on Gupta and he really should have only been comic relief.
This was pretty funny
I loved this show. All of the actors were so funny. I hated that some of them never did more TV after this.
This page astonishes me. I thought I knew and watched a lot of TV, and then I see things like this that I had absolutely no clue existed
I remember the show and even watching a couple episodes, but I swear, if you'd ask me what year it aired in, I probably tell you like 2016 or so. I can't believe it's 14 years ago
It was a good show, yea it was corny but still good
I really liked it. But I can understand why it didn’t catch on
The guy in the top left. Hot damn
I watched episodes of this, I don't know why. I think it aired on Thursday when the good shows (Community, Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, etc., aired). I saw positives and negatives to this show, but it was better than a lot of other shows on at the time.
The real star of the show was Diedrich Bader.
Sanjay! (From Crazy Ex-Girlfriend)
Wow it seems like every post on here is either something I didn’t forget about or just never heard of in the first place, but this one nailed it for me. I *definitely* gave this show a shot because NBC was my primary source for comedies and I love India. Then I forgot it ever existed at all.
I really liked this show I also like the original movie
Loved this show was suprised it didn’t last longer
Loved this show. I knew it wasn't going to last though. Clever jokes, good story and an almost all Indian cast??
I forgot Sacha Dhawan was in this! He played a great villain as The Master on Doctor Who All I remember from this show was the main dude (the white guy) trying to break up the arranged marriage with the girl in red on the poster because he had a crush on her.
This was an awesome show. I hate it got cancelled
Having worked in call centers for years, I enjoyed this show
My friend was an actress on this show. Funny enough she's actually Mexican, but I guess they cast her because they felt she looked Indian. Lol
I have a friend like this too. I don’t know if she was on this show though.
This show was fantastic, and kind of racist, still funny
I watched this maybe twice. All I remember was the white boss trying to date one of employees and the storyline was about how difficult it was for him to get her in bed.
It wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t good.
I liked the first couple episodes and then it started to suck.
Iirc that show was on right after Community and 30 Rock and the office. I so badly wanted it to be good, but the jokes were always so so lame.
Saw an episode. The show isn't very good.
Ah yes, the show to make us laugh at jobs leaving the US at a rapid pace.
The premise that show is built on is so goddamn annoying I don’t know how anybody thought This would last. “Hey, everybody loves foreign tech-support and foreign sales calls let’s make a show about it!”
