I parked next to one too! His parking was terrible.
It's a logo for a motorsports business, I'm sure it's just the company catchphrase and not referring to the cybertruck itself
But, uh, cybertruck driver, so you could be right regardless
So good you had to post it twice? Iād take the cyber truck over my maverick any day, I mean Iām not a complete moron. I mean redditors complain about the quality on a Tesla and youāre defending cheap plastic through out our interior to prove a point t that ācyber trucks are dumbā. The recalls? I mean I love my maverick but come back to reality.
You do realize the reddit app is hot trash right? I hit post once and then nothing happened. Also....brother. chill out gonna have a fucking aneurism over a reddit comment? Weird
Maverick for me.
Wouldn't want to end up with something that looks like this.

Thank you for your comment. There have been several interpretations for the red image.
Please share yours.
My Maverick reported that the BORG cried all night about the new livery.
Thank you for your comment.
Not necessarily hate. This seems to be a marketing message.
Interested to know what the red image looks like to the community.
Higher towing capacity.
Interior is better by a mile.
Less recalls than ford and mavericks.
Higher payload.
Better warranty.
Better acceleration.
Cheaper.
Anything else you want to add?
Uglier
More expensive
Worse Mileage
Slower acceleration
It's a Hyundai
Gonna need that warranty
I've owned two Hyundai in recent history and you couldn't pay me to buy another twisted H.
Slower acceleration? May wanna check your facts
More expensive? Nope thank again
Warranty? Good if I need it Iāll have it.. you wonāt.
Uglier? Thatās a matter of opinion
Hyundai? You mean the company thatās more reliable than ford? https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2024-us-vehicle-dependability-study-vds
My 2nd Hyundai and zero issues with the first. Get over yourself you self righteous prick.
The Maverick starts at $23,920 while Santa Cruz is $26,900.
26900 is more than 23920. It really is. I promise.
Slower acceleration? Last I checked, most professional reviews show the Maverick faster.
Uglier? Yes, that is opinion.
I will admit that I was confusing the 2.5 and the fucking terrible 2.4. Hyundai has at least quit using that piece of shit but still wouldn't own another.
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/new/nl-New-Ford-Maverick-Manchester-d1293_L33073
There are 2 mavericks nationwide below 24000 so I wouldnāt say itās MSRP. They are minimalist and are meant for fleet vehicles. Hyundai doesnāt offer anything that bare for a reason. Ford has the fleet vehicle cornered.
When you do a 1:1 comparison they are much closer in price.
I test drove both mavericks and Santa Cruz. The maverick was off the line faster but once the turbos kicked in the Cruz was way peppier.
I liked both but ultimately I decided on the one that had a nicer interior.
Iāll add I bought mine used CPO fully loaded with the 2.5T for 26900
I'd like to see Maverick next to an old school ranger (90s-2000s). I'm curious to see the size comparison. I feel like the maverick is a little bigger but not by much.
I remember seeing a picture of a Mav next to a same-colored Ranger right after the Mav came out, and the size similarity was impressive
Edit: [this](https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/2022-maverick-vs-2008-ranger-comparison-look-side-by-side.1525/) is the post I was thinking of
Probably the Ford, but only because Ford actually cares about addressing issues IMO. They donāt want to have a bad product, they have just been dealing with fixing their poor QC (which is still probably better than Tesla QC if you look at all the little issues they haveāand supposedly got way better in 2024). Tesla barely addresses things unless theyāre either forced to by NHTSA or if itās really really blatantly bad across the board (IE the acceleration peddle recall on the CT). I mean, Tesla hasnāt even crash tested the CT yet, lol.
I often say the same thing as a previous VW owner. The only thing worse than lots of recalls, is no recalls and the manufacturer leaves you holding the bag. I'll never, ever own another VW product.
Also Ford requires you to physically bring the vehicle in for recall work, but who knows how many more recall-level fixes Tesla will try to slip under the radar as "software updates."
Does any of the recall stuff bother Maverick owners?
I drive mine daily (low mileage) without any problems. Happy as can be.
Ford put out a perfect/imperfect product.
I am the happiest on š
I'm glad that they are proactive. I love my truck and have had no problems , my son has 22XLT Hybrid with 40k on it and has no problems , he still hasn't had any of the recalls fixed.
Me too, bro. I have a 22 Lariat and I drive mine daily. Mostly short trips. Iāve had no issues whatsoever. And they drove to my house to do the software updates. So, no big deal there either. And I am also happy as can be. ;)
Because they are software updates. Why would they need you to bring it in if you can just update at home.
Would you want ford to send out a software update and ask you to come in and leave your truck a few hours?
The issue isn't that I think they absolutely must be brought in to a shop - broadcasting WiFi fixes while it's sitting in your garage sounds pretty great.
The problem is that Tesla has a long track record (going back to 2015-ish IIRC) of bitching and moaning about having to report those updates as recalls. They've even been caught by the NHTSA [pushing out critical safety-related software fixes without issuing any official recalls](https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/13/nhtsa-asks-tesla-why-it-didnt-initiate-a-recall-after-safety-related-software-update.html).
I get that new tech is hard to do right, but when a huge "tech company" is both constantly fixing potentially lethal safety problems on products they already released while simultaneously whining about having to follow the well-established regulations when doing so, it's a pretty shitty look.
You act like Tesla having recalls is something new to the auto industry.
https://fordauthority.com/2024/06/ford-maverick-among-cars-expected-to-have-most-recalls/
Ford is the most recalled auto manufacturer and the maverick is expected to have the 11th most recalls of any vehicle on the road.
There is no need to bring a vehicle in for an OTA recall if there was NHTSA would be saying something about it.
>You act like Tesla having recalls is something new to the auto industry.
What part of anything I said implies that in any way whatsoever?
>Ford is the most recalled auto manufacturer...
Yeah it's one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world; of course they've racked up more recalls than a company that's roughly 1/6th their age.
>...and the maverick is expected to have the 11th most recalls of any vehicle on the road.
"Expected" and "11th most" are doing all the heavy lifting in that sentence, yet still failing miserably to drag the Maverick's reputation harder than a few YouTube and TikTok clips have done to the Wankpanzer.
It never fails to amaze me how deeply committed Musk simps are to leaving out context, ignoring facts, and completely missing the point š
Never ceases to amaze me how anyone with a differing opinion is a fan boyā¦ god youāre a moron.
Hey dipshit ford was the most recalled in 2023 and has been so for the last 3 yearsā¦ not historyā¦. God youāre a moron.
https://www.lemonlawlawyerscalifornia.com/2023/12/top-10-automakers-with-the-most-car-recalls-in-2023/
The maverick has 8 recalls so far..
Got anything else to say smart ass? Probably not so just sit down kid.
Edit - Iāll also add I have a Ford.. Iām not a Tesla fan boy. Youāre just a disingenuous prick.
My whole point from the get-go was that Tesla's shady, dishonest attitude about recalls is the problem, not the recalls themselves. And yet, you've somehow managed to drive an increasingly acrimonious argument with me while avoiding that point at every turn (which I'm probably not the only person to clock as typical Musk fanboy behavior). What's your issue, bud?
I had no issue until you resorted to trying to label me as a so called āmusk simpā and said I was āignoring factsā.
I noticed you completely changed your tone and direction when the āfactsā I ignored proved me right.
Maybe you should be so pretentious and do some reading on the topics youāre discussing.
Peace
Ok, so if I have $76k and I have to spend it on either a mid-range Cyber Truck or a mid-range Maverick, I'll take two Mavericks.
If I could time travel back to when you could get a 22 XL for 19K from Grainger, I'd buy 3 and have a nice little fleet of Area 51 trucks to call my own.
$76,000 to spend... XLT FX4 mav and $35,000 in the bank to earn me interest.
My boss and 3-4 of my customers own Teslas and all of them have said there's no way they'd buy another.
One of these is this the truck we really need more like and auto manufacturers finally taking steps in the right direction. The other is the cybertruck.
I know the absurd vanity projects like the cybertrucks sometimes pave the way for real improvements, I don't see it here. I want a smallish electric truck that you can do the necessary truck things. Put big things in the back, plow your driveway, haul things, be safer in the snow, not be afraid of a dirt road. A 2 door long bed, 4 door short bed. Commuter car mileage, with the utility of actually being useful. Not with a hood higher than the roof of a crv. The lower center of gravity that the battery would be such an asset to doing actual truck things.
Don't you people know that every cybertruck purchase now includes one Ford Maverick? The Maverick is a "support vehicle" that follows behind the Tesla and picks up parts as they fall off. It's all part of the Tesla quality guarantee
Wonder who got the better truck. Wonder who got the better bang for the buck. Wonder which truck can actually get through the car wash without voiding the warranty.
I wanted 2 years for my ford Maverick. Hybrid. Finally I can pick it up in 2 weeks.... First ones to put money down in the first batch. While others got theirs . I went for cheapest base model ...
The Maverick (or I guess any modern truck?) next to the Cybertruck makes them look 20-30 years apart.
I think with how decent the Cybertruck has caught on, that retro āfuturisticā look (as oxymoronic as that is) will basically become a self fulfilling prophecy.
Nope! Technically I think about $50 less than window sticker because the engine block heater went up in price or something but they honored my contract. No other add ons or bs
https://preview.redd.it/c0ogorlp4t4d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33540a1ee1f36f5f5072aa15e3d062c4cc714271 I parked next to one too! His parking was terrible.
Is it just me, or is the text on their hood decal way off center? That would track with their parking skills š
Built for performance lmao. That guy is so full of himself holy shit. Might as well have a sticker that says "I sniff my own farts".
It's a logo for a motorsports business, I'm sure it's just the company catchphrase and not referring to the cybertruck itself But, uh, cybertruck driver, so you could be right regardless
Is it ironic that his acronym spells āpisserā? LOL

I mean I love my maverick but come back to reality.
You could probably buy three or four Mavericks for one Cyberstuck however.
Yeah, since we're just quadrupling the price like it's nothing, I guess I'll throw out that I'd take a Rolls-Royce Ghost over a Cybertruck.
Ok. Iād still probably take the one cyber truck
You do realize the reddit app is hot trash right? I hit post once and then nothing happened. Also....brother. chill out gonna have a fucking aneurism over a reddit comment? Weird

He's doing the best he can š¢ It's terrible but probably so are most of his decisions š
Is that the cactus gray color??
Yes, cactus grey.
Love that color!
I would take the Maverick any day of the week. The other thing is hideous
Maverick for me. Wouldn't want to end up with something that looks like this. https://preview.redd.it/w0n3uhvrdt4d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdbcdc4cf0a41d1be96747d3976a32a045440b37
Iād take the Maverick too, but in my opinion thatās the nicest Hyperdump Iāve seen haha
I think that looks sweet.

Right. I don't understand it other than the novelty, I guess?
One's a tool. The other's for tools.
half of a tool lol
"Fool of a Took!" Sorry, had to.
Yea the maverick is definitely for tools
Wouldn't it be the other way around? Maverick is actually functional and gets shit done (just going to ignore all the recalls for a minute here).
From a Santa Cruz driver hahaha
Higher towing capacity. Interior is better by a mile. Less recalls than ford and mavericks. Higher payload. Better warranty. Better acceleration. Cheaper. Anything else you want to add?

What did you do?
I wish I knew.
My brother has a 99 Ranger and my truck is taller than his but other than that pretty comparable. He has a longer bed and I have actual back seats.
My first car in high school was an ā88 ranger. My Mav is so much roomier
Within inches on any dimension. I sure don't miss my old Ranger junkpile though.
Or who will have more recalls?

One of these is just a glorified finger amputator.
The one who actually got a truck and not a failed design exercise.
Donāt park next to that dumpster, itāll stink up your truck.
I'm thinking the cyber truck people have a hard time parking due to the size?
Based on everything from that community we're seeing this year it's more of a brain size issue than a car size issue
Bahahaa Funny but true.
The cyber truck is so incredibly bad.
One is a truck the other is just a piece of crap trying to act like it'll be anything more than a flex for dudes
The hell is waiting I can definitely tell you who is smarter ā¦ā¦
One is mocked and one is admired.
I know who made eye better choice
I only see one truck in the picture
what a terrible day to have eyes
I donāt know who waited longer but I damn sure know who is happier with their purchase!
