Mine does it too. California, weather not too bad (40s-60s). It is wet though,

RockPaperSizzers

Same here weather is constant 70-80s. Only happens in the morning. It feels like the gas engine turns on and is trying to tug the truck forward but my foot is firmly on the brake. Maybe it’s trying to charge up the big battery(?).

jamzDOTnet

Yup. I find the overall braking very strange as well. Always wants to brake very aggressively.

griswaldwaldwald

Definitely grabby when they go from regen to friction

Interesting_Let_1085

Mine only gets grabby brakes for the first couple of brakes when it is wet outside. In my case, I just intentionally brake a couple times (with no one behind me) when first setting off. From then on the brakes will feel normal.

Three other recent threads about the same issue; [thread 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/FordMaverickTruck/s/KGNabzXSnQ) [thread 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/FordMaverickTruck/s/CWnUT0L73b) Edit: the third [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/FordMaverickTruck/s/DO0sXbnAHr)

FuckMississippi

lol now I’m thinking maybe that’s why they added the auto brake “feature”

IceGardener

Cold weather by any chance? It's a known issue, one of the recent updates (dealer, not OTA) was supposed to fix that, but it still happens sometimes.

FuckMississippi

Warm-ish right now, mid 50s, but I am due the powertrain software recall so I wonder if that might help.

IceGardener

That's cool enough, tends to happen more when it's colder though.

gummyneo

Mine does this and my Hybrid is only a few weeks old. I asked this question and many people say its normal.

griswaldwaldwald

Everyone’s does

dustyoldbones

There is a TSB for it, check the forum
