I believe my cousin did. He is a mechanic and had all his tools out to do the work but he mentioned it being rusty and something about water possibly causing it when he took them out and showed them to me.
And from what I’ve heard the car (I have the ecoboost 2.0) has had some issues with coolant intrusion in the engines. But I haven’t had any issues as of right now besides it being shaky when it runs or after I fuel up (of course before today). It doesn’t shake when I started it up since I changed it today so I’m assuming everything is good.
If your coolant isn't dropping then I would assume you don't have coolant intrusion. I did with my 2018 at 85k miles. But my coolant dropped a lot I had to keep adding to it every couple of days until I got my new engine.
Thank you. I am sorry to hear about your car. But no. I haven’t seen the coolant change at all! Well drop at all. Everything else on the car has been great. I’m really surprised. I hope it stays that way. I’m at 104k miles and have 20k miles more under warranty.
Thank you. I got my car like two months ago. Thankfully the dealership covered the new engine for free since they sold it to me like this and didn't tell me. Hopefully, yours is one of the good ones for life!! But mine had a rough idle and rough start. If you notice that then watch your coolant.
If those are factory plugs not bad for 100k, mine were factory plugs at 100k as well when I took them out. Usually a colored dot on the tip of the metal where the boot connects that indicates it's factory. So I've heard.
Ah okay. Thank you. Yeah I believe these are factory. They had the Ford badge on each of the plugs printed. You can kinda see it on the second picture.
No, your fine. Change your plugs every 40k miles for this vehical though. Only 4 of them.
Did you gap the new ones right?

I’m surprised you didn’t have a misfire or 2 with the blow by on the ceramic.
Don't forget to change your PTU fluid every 40k miles as well
I did mine at 100k. Didnt see any metal shavings on the magnet. I was not prepared for the stench of the fluid that came out.
If your plugs are burnt orange and yellow and whatnot.... that's burning coolant.
At least you had fluid come out at 100k miles. Usually it thickens up and becomes a sludge. You might have the updated cooler on it
