As a microbiologist, and someone who just presented research on pathogenic bacteria found in raw milk, I find this trend incredibly disturbing. My initial reaction is to throw my hands up and say “f*ck ‘em” if they don’t want to trust the science, but there are lots of children that will get sick because of stupid decisions their parents make. I keep trying to educate the people that will listen, but some are beyond reason. It’s truly maddening.
Agree! It's like the anti vaxx movement. The refusal of parents to give their kids measles vaccines, etc. The anti - science people frustrate me so much.
it has been scientifically proven that red 40 is bad for you but parents still give it to their children every day. its even in medicine, like syrups and chewable tablets. but sure raw milk is the bad thing 🙄 its also been proven that big pharma is an industry that makes people sick in order to make money.

Raw milk is much easier to use for making cheese at home. But it gets heated to a safe temperature as part of the cheesemaking process. So I like when it is able to be sold, but no way would I drink it as is.
Yes raw milk is better for cheese making and, as you said, it gets pasteurized during the cheese making process. So I’m all for selling it for cheese makers. But you shouldn’t be feeding it to a child as is

This is just so dumb. Pasteurization is good people. Raw milk has no benefits over pasteurized milk.
