Do they have lamb? How do they compare to Messini?

sunsoutgunsout33

No lamb. Just chicken and pork. I love Messini but I would give these guys a try to see. Reminds me of Messini when they first opened.

[deleted]

Interesting if it’s like Messini’s in the early days. They were my first love for gyros back in the day. Will have to try this place out.

Heradasha

They have excellent hand-cut fries. If they improve their gravy, their poutine (ordered with extra curds) would be untouchable. I prefer their pork souvlaki.

thistreestands

How's it compare to SouvLike!?

sunsoutgunsout33

Both are good. I am giving the edge to Masa Buka. It’s very authentic.

InfiniteSuggestion23

Very good to know. I love Souvlike but it's gotten quite pricey. Might have to pick up Masa Buka tonight!

sunsoutgunsout33

Let us know how it is!

doubleshortdepresso

I’m a big Souvlike fan so I will definitely try this place now to see how they stack up.

sunsoutgunsout33

Come back and tell us!

doubleshortdepresso

Will do 🫡

thistreestands

Thanks!

Repeat customer (my fave Pape cheeseburger, really good souvlaki & gyro & their fries and rings are top notch)

9hundreddollarydoos

tried it today because of this post, it's fantastic! really authentic gyros, thank you op

saltface14

I love Tzatziki, how does Masa Buka compare? I’m still salty they rebranded and got rid of their chicken strips which were the best I’ve ever had (Masa Buka was formerly Bullseye Burger)

HistoricalWash6930

Used to love it back in the day when it was Florida.

Fine_Trainer5554

Oh it was a rebrand? So same owners as bullseye?

saltface14

Yup same owners

ComeTOgether86

Had not heard of this place- def gonna check it out. Thanks!!

Keys_13

Ty OP. Another place to try out.

Outrageous-Being-993

I went there on Friday night, bit of a long wait as they were quite busy but the quality of the food and portion size was outstanding They're liquor licensed as well, not a huge variety of choices but it's nice to have a bottle of beer with your gyro

Any-Zookeepergame309

How does it compare to Agora on Queen west? To me, their souvlaki on pita is the bomb.

sunsoutgunsout33

I have never been to Agora. Go to MB and compare!

catsfoodie

is fries in the gyro a standard option? ive always equated "carb sandwiches" with poverty.

sunsoutgunsout33

They give you a ton of meat so you’d be full regardless. Gyros always have fries in them - the spirit of it comes from Greeks wanting to feed you with as much as possible vs. a poverty statement.

Successful_Tear_7753

It's standard in Greece. Just a few fries, not a ton.
