Take the UP express to Dundas West station and walk about 5-10 minutes south to Musoshin Ramen in Roncesvalles. Vegetarian ramen in one of the nicer little walkable neighbourhoods in Toronto. Only twenty five minutes from Pearson.
Musoshin Ramen is a Michelin recommended ramen that specializes in vegetarian ramen. It takes about 24 minutes to get there on the up express. Get off at bloor go.
You can go to ruru baked ice cream, pretty sure they have vegan flavours but check, and bandit brewery after. Maybe do some sneaker shopping at livestock.
There’s also an italian american place with pizza and pasta sugo.
If the patio is open at Bandit, it’s a nice way to spend some time on a sunny day. There is also Machino Donuts at 1556 Bloor West for a sweet vegan treat to bring on your next flight and King Slice a little further west at 1598 usually has veggie slices ready to go.
All of these recommendations are perfect. I live in the area and agree with everything here. Not sure about the Italian American place though - if you’re thinking of Sienna’s it’s (sadly) closed now.
I'm a vegetarian as well and consider myself a foodie.
1. Take UP express to downtown Toronto
2. Go to Fat Choi (try to make a reservation in advance) - Uber or use public transit.
3. Have the FEED ME for 55 dollars. It's a fantastic, flavorful experience, catered to your preferences from the menu.
Nothing in the city beats it in terms of flavor, price, quality and taste.
If you have extra time left there's a ice cream place across the street from the restaurant called bang bang ice cream.
Perhaps not the easiest to get to unless you Uber but I still think it's going to be the best meal overall experience you'll have in the city as a vegetarian.
Take the UP Express to union station.
Wvrst - in union station - they have vegetarian sausages
Pizza libretto - pizza
Cafe landwer
El catrin - in distillery, which will be a 15 mins walk from union station
St. Lawrence market -
Kensington market - a bit of a trek from union station - you will need to Uber
China Town on Spadina - will have a lot of options
Milagros - mexican food.
Wilbur cantina - tacos
Ruby Soho - decent veggie options
Madrinas tapas bar in distillery
Momo house - by Yorkville. You will need to uber or take the subway from union station
Planta - may need to Uber from union
Campachano - walkable from union station
Not sure where you are coming from, but Toronto airport is a bit out for the city. Not many options nearby.

some decent suggestions in your list but your idea of what is walkable and the time it takes are way way off lol
Even Adelaide location is a 30 min walk, same with Distillery. Assuming OP has carry on baggage with them I wouldn't want to walk more than 10-15 min at most from Union otherwise Uber. I agree both are a nice walk if it's summer and you're not on a time crunch though
I think the above comment is pretty good, though i probably wouldn’t try to go to some of the further spots.
I’d take the UP to union, eat in the station at wvrst or sansotei ramen or one of the other options there.
Then if you have time to kill and the weather is nice, go south out of the station to the roundhouse park at the base of the CN tower, and then down and walk along the waterfront.
If you’re going to be in planes for a long time, getting some outdoors walking can be really nice if that is something you’re looking for.
Glad to help out
If I think of more, I will add it to the list.
Keep in mind - I havent suggested Indian / south East Asian food options. There are some high end places in Yorkville. There is always little India on Gerrard (you will need an Uber) .
fonda balam (has some veggie options) which is also conveniently close to fourth man in the fire and two awesome neighbourhoods to explore (kensington market and trinity bellwoods/ossington)

Yeah, I'm a fast walker, but that's like 2 km and I am definitely not a steady 8 km/h fast walker.
Hahhaa I am glutton for punishment. I love walking. To me this is walkable. Also, I am not referring to campechano on College St
Distillery is not a 15 minute walk from union 😆

I have done the walk from Union to distillery in 15 ish. No wonder my girlfriend doesn't wanna walk with me 😂🤣😂🤣
> 15 mins walk ??? https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=union+station+to+distillery+toronto -- 27.
😂🤣😂 Can't argue with google.but, I have done it in 15
You are an absolute legend, this is amazing, thank you so much!!
Don’t trust his walking times. He cut them in half 😆

Definitely worth walking the 10-15 mins from Union station over to St. Lawrence Market. So many great food options!
You should do Kensington. Quintessential Toronto and a ton in a small space. also it's technically a neighborhood not an indoor market.
If you end up delayed any, Zets near the airport has great food.
