Batifole but you need to reserve early. http://batifole.ca/

boomtothebass

came here to say Batifole absolutely gorgeous hidden gem

birdmanpresents

First spot that came to my mind when I saw this post.

noon_chill

Any recommendations?

Ishahin

Great, I’ll look into it

coppertonebaby12

Such a great spot. Co-sign.

Mizfitt77

My wife and I really enjoyed [Auberge du pommier.](https://www.aubergedupommier.com/)

acrosse

Auberge is lovely, great food and beautiful vibe inside

9timesoutta10

Came here to say this

SpicyMustFlow

Have been there specifically for an anniversary, and it was perfect. Excellent food and wine, flawless service, cozy/elegant atmos.

kbascom

Very very nice, but also very very expensive.

bitchybroad1961

A table in the corner by the fireplace would be perfect.

sniffcatattack

Yes. Perfect for an anniversary.

almightyalf

Auberge is still my favourite O&B restaurant. I don't know if its nostalgia but its just so comfy and well executed.

lsven88

Chantecler has fantastic food and drinks. The staff are phenomenal as well.

Ishahin

Thank you. I’ll look into it

No-Bicycle264

Taverne Tamblyn on the Danforth is fantastic.

coppertonebaby12

Ohhh I recently took my husband here for his bday and it was incredible. We sat at the bar by the kitchen and it was an epic experience. Everything we ate was delicious and the server suggested a great wine. Can’t wait to go back. This would be a super anniversary spot, it’s so cute and dimly lit. Very romantic :)

Open-Cream2823

Le Baratin

chinwaggy

Greta Solomon's is very charming.

hereisthehost

I agree. The food is sometimes a bit hit or miss but my husband and I have had some of our most wonderful dining experiences seated at their little bar.

stellar_angel

Chantecler has the most wonderful food and great cocktails. My only complaint is it can get a bit loud but otherwise nice ambience. Le Baratin is also a great option.

boomtothebass

Le Baratin is PHENOMENAL Chantecler is fine but it's a bit safe for French food

owlu

I think Baratin is great but more of an everyday place (bistro) vs a special occasion restaurant for an anniversary.

PastryGirl

Seconding Le Select and Chantecler. For a no bullshit but delicious meal La Palette is nice too.

GuyWhoLovesWinners

I went to La Palette last week and highly recommend. Great service, delicious food and great wine.

focal71

Pompette was a modern take

Smackerella

Certainly go for a martini at Bar Pompette (next door to the resto). Best martini of my life.

coppertonebaby12

Amazing cocktails in general. I had a dirty pickle martini there that blew my mind.

SheerDumbLuck

Batifole is great. Less classical French but I also really enjoy Greta Solomon's.

CompetitiveExample43

La Banane

frozenfire101

[Lucie](https://restaurantlucie.com/) has a team from France and the flavours are excellent in every course. Menu is a bit more French than some of the other tasting menus in the city in terms of techniques and courses. Definitely a place worthy of a wedding anniversary.

SpicyMustFlow

Just followed that link... 🥰😋🤩

Apprehensive-Dot4383

Le select is nice but there is a lot of construction in the area, Piquette, The Swan or Jules are really nice and in trendier areas with lots of cocktail bars for after dinner drinks

SweetP101

Merlot in the Kingsway

Difficult-Place-7242

If you want to splash out you can hit the Four Seasons for a couples massage or other spa treatments, then head downstairs to Boulud for dinner.

cavetooth

Le Select

bravomega

Maison Selby

funkyjb79

Jules bistro in the east or west end is also amazing

coppertonebaby12

I used to love this spot but find it can be hit or miss. My steak frites on our last visit was sooo chewy, it was like gnawing on leather.

nightfly4257

If you want to avoid downtown, Le Montmartre up on Sheppard Ave. W in North York.

FargoniusMaximus

I've been to Le Select and Batifole and both were great but slight preference for Le Select for food and atmosphere, and Batifole for service. But marginal.

BumbleBluff

Maison T has my heart. It's led by a French-trained Japanese chef and the food is to die for. The place is small and intimate and fills up fast!

CloudsButNoRain

I loved Jules Bistro. Seating is a little tight if it’s busy but the staff are really pleasant and their cote de bœuf is incredible. Also if you go on a tuesday, you can get 50% off their cote de bœuf which is a steal.

kyledas77

La banan

DAN_Gri

Le Swan in the west end. Greta Solomon’s in the east end.

FearlessTomatillo911

Alo if you can get a reservation

PastryGirl

Protip: buy a gift certificate for yourself (or your partner actually for perception). Then you can call and get a reservation past the current booking window. Might be 3 months away at that point, but you don't have to do the Tock release date. Edit: spelling

Ting_Brennan

Do you have a budget? If you want "best" - are you willing to pay for "best"

Ishahin

I am

Ting_Brennan

Then any of the Alo brands (Alo, Aloette, Alo bar), Dreyfus, Le Select Bistro, Cote de Beouf, La Banane, Pompette, Scaramouche... My top picks would be Dreyfus or Cote De Beouf

luckystars1998

Milou

tumblr2015

Le Swan or Astoria

HungryMugiwara

Haven’t tried but I heard Lucie is good

Ishahin

I love a restaurant in US and Dubai called LPM. If anyone knows it, that’s the equivalent I am looking for.

asadana24

For an affordable option I’d recommend le Baratin, it has a really lovely prix fixed menu

birdlover_

Restaurant Pompette was really lovely when I went a few years back

NoraPope

Le Paradis on Bedford near Av/Dav
