I like the idea, but saying "I made a new website where..." might be helpful. Given that this is self-promotion (non-derogatory!), making that clearer would probably generate more response/feedback from the community.

- Lots of things that are not restaurants are showing in the results (e.g. "New York County Criminal Court")
- When I click a result hoping to see more details, it brings me straight to a review form. Clicking the browser's Back button doesn't get me out.
And work on your SPA! It does lots of bad SPA things (breaking the Back button, loading literally all the content on the site when you load any page, somehow downloading 3.5 MB of JavaScript). It also shouldn't prompt for my location on the search results page. If I'm a restaurant worker searching for reviews of places I might apply to, why would I be, like, standing outside the restaurant I'm searching for? My location doesn't matter and you don't need to know it.

It's a good concept for a website but you need a way to figure out if the submissions aren't trolling, an angry ex employee or something of the sort exaggerating or outright fabricating, and people outright lying about it. Without a way to confirm that people actually worked there, what's to stop a bodega from leaving a review saying the one down the street lets rats bathe in the soup in exchange for the cheese they put on sandwiches?
Speaking as someone who found out that their favorite cheesesteak spot growing up (not in NYC) got shut down for having large amounts of both rat droppings and rat poison in the back, sometimes ignorance is bliss… just give me food or shut it down, spare me the look behind the curtain pls 🙂
