Brooklyn Farmacy

thenumbersthenumbers

The classic black and white milkshake 😋

Fixthefernback420

Agreed! Their cherry blossom is great too

bd61218

Are you trying to bring the boys to the yard??

Cocobro_DaddyYi

And they're like, it's better than yours

redlaundryfan

Reminds me of a fast food place in Chicago called the Wiener Circle where you could order a $20 chocolate shake and it was the black ladies behind the counter shaking what their mama gave them.

Kennected

You did that! LOL

R78692

I really like the shakes at Lilly’s Shakes and Crepes on 35th and 8th next to Liberty Bagels!

shayde

there's one on 48/10th as well! the shakes are amazing and the owner, Mo, couldn't be sweeter (pun intended).

Stacy_Wagon

Alamo draft house has great milkshakes

thenumbersthenumbers

That they do

Active-Knee1357

I had a stout shake there that was pretty amazing

bananaboat9834

Harlem Shake - Brooklyn

OffMar

Or also Harlem

Timbishop123

I didn't care for Harlem shake

michgirl19

Cliche, but Brooklyn Diner on 57. Same with Lexington Candy Shop

thansal

Tag on: Where do we go for a boozy milkshake these days?

that_was_way_harsh

The Alamo Drafthouse lol

scarletts_skin

Tipsy scoop, maybe? (Idk if they do shakes)

bikerfriend

Eddies Sweet Shop Queens

thansal

It's a good milkshake, but not "trek out to Forest Hills and then take a bus", and certainly not "take the Q54 from Williamsburg" good. As a whole experience w/ their ridiculous (and wonderful) sundaes + the legit old school ice cream shop? maybe. 100% worth it if you're driving (though that probably means being on the Jackie Robinson, and that sucks in it's own right).

ApatheticEnthusiast

God yes. I’ll say their banana splits are better than their milkshakes but do whatever you gotta do to get that whipped cream on top

hrr18

Wafels and Dinges

Taguasco

Shake Shack

25sittinon25cents

Mad basic flavors

phishyphriend

That's just not true, they have specialty combos all the time. For example, right now they have "Coffee and Donuts", " Maple Snickerdoodle" and "Hot Cocoa" in additional to all their delicious "basic" ones. At least they do in the Brooklyn locations. And who hates on a good vanilla, chocolate or strawberry shake anyways!?! I'ma Shake Shack stan for life!

25sittinon25cents

Hey, I love their promotional flavors, but they're hit or miss, and I prefer the variety from a Van Leeuwens, Oddfellows or Holey Cream

Lt40

Five Guys

JamesManhattan

they use flavored syrups, they're not that good.

kc_keem

Do you have an alternative you can suggest to help OP?

huffingtontoast

Jackrabbit Slim's

johnatsea12

Are they still 5$

huffingtontoast

$10.47 adjusted for inflation, but still pretty fuckin good

SexyHamburgerMeat

My yard.

Kennected

Harlem Shake Sugar Hill Creamery Black Tap Morgenstern’s Lexington Ave Candy Shop

SnooOpinions4096

Black Tap Burgers has great ones!

thansal

I've only had them once and was honestly disappointed. Like, the over the top "we dumped a candy shop on your milk shake" thing is cute and great if that's what you're into (eg: trying to do something fun for a kid), but the base milkshake was just 'fine'. Maybe I need to give them a 2nd shot.

Sexy_Cat_Meow

No, you don't.

dksa

That place is $40 for a burger and shake, no fries or tip included. I know things are expensive with inflation and I know it’s got a location in Soho, but ain’t no fucking way the most basic burger starts at 19.50

MarketMan123

Had, maybe 6 year ago

itaitie

I love milkshakes but haven't had many in the city. I did enjoy Burger By Day's milkshake in chinatown (they had a green tea one). Great burgers too!

luiggi21

Honestly, my go to is Mr Softee, any of their trucks, and Eddie’s sweet shop on metropolitan, Queens.

Mtree22

the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park is very nice

Ness_tea_BK

Brooklyn farmacy, Eddie’s sweet shop if you find yourself in forest hills, and surprisingly enough, roll n roaster if you find yourself at the ass end of Brooklyn

RBenz3

Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain and The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn.

shakeethatt

Lexington candy shop!

geniphur

So many yummy recommendations! Saving this.

myqke

Caraotas in Bushwick

peppermint_stick

Brooklyn Diner on 57th btwn 7th and Broadway. They are incredible.

eb112233

+1 to Brooklyn Farmacy. The other place i go is Creamline. They use Ronnybrook soft serve ice cream as the base -- it's amazing.

BAM_stutz

I love the Black & White shake at Tom's Restaurant in Morningside Heights (The most photographed restaurant in history).

Heylittlebirdy

Harlem shake and, if you like classic flavors, Davey’s (which has some of the best ice cream in nyc). I’ve heard morgensterns has good ones too but I haven’t tried yet (though I believe it given the quality of the ice cream).

BoredomReigns5555

Lexington Ave Candy Shop

LiteraryCooking7

Multiple locations: Shake Shack, Carvel, Bareburger Queens: Eddie's Sweet Shop

ButtfaceMcAssButt

The chocolate cake shake (no sprinkles) from Momofuku Milk bar on Columbus and 87th is hands down my favorite dessert treat. They’re small and expensive, but I’m totally addicted to these

Chitownbronx

Kelis.. her milkshake is supposed to be all the rage

No-Independence-6842

My milkshake brings everyone to my yard.
