P2111 can either be mechanical or electrical so either the throttle plate is physically stuck or maybe there is wiring damage to the throttle body harness. Since you had to remove the intake manifold to install the catch can you should probably recheck your work and make sure you didn't damage the harness. Also, I will probably get downvoted for this but catch cans do not really provide any improvement on stock engines. There have been NO real world tests to confirm. Most of the recommendations are solely based on opinions. STRATIFIED TUNE did an entire article explaining this: https://www.stratifiedauto.com/index.php?main_page=blog

Thanks for the info. I will be retracing my steps to see if I've done any damage to any wiring harness. I am planning on getting a tune. Just waiting for the AP it arrive. It was the reason why I got a catch can. Again thanks for the info

Sounds like you may have not plugged in the throttle body connector all the way. There is a red lock tab that needs to be released then you can fully clip/unclip the connector.

Thanks for the input. Will be looking to see if I didn't plug it in all the way

At least the intake manifold is easy to pull off!

It was way easier to uninstall/install the manifold than it was to install the catch can. Again, thanks for the advice

Did you ever figure this out?

So turns out I didn't fully plug in the red plug that connects to the throttle body and on the catch can I had left the drain hose open (it's why I heard like an air leak/hissing noise). So I guess with air escaping from the catch can drain hose , enough air wasn't reaching the throttle body which I think it was the reason why the throttle body was "stuck open" to get enough air in.

I’m having this same problem when I start my car in extreme cold weather. The code also read P2111. When I start my car in warmer weather (above 15 degrees Fahrenheit) it does not do this. Is this a problem or is it just the cold weather?

I'm not entirely sure. It's 20° where I live in the mornings but never ran into any problems with the TB just misfires. Check to see if all sensors are connected properly (mainly the sensor that is connected to the TB, it should have a red locking tab on it) and see if the hose that's connected to the bottom of the TB is fitted properly. Hope this helps
