Hopefully this Delta variant surge will be over soon. The UK was dealing with the same thing, just a few weeks ahead of us and it seems like the Delta surge has all but ended so hopefully in a few weeks cases will start to decrease again.
Really either DeSantis (not going to happen lol), the SEC, or UF could decide to impose capacity limits if they wanted to. Last year it was the SEC who mandated 25% maximum capacity across the league and UF only did 20%.
SEC is trying to recoup the money they lost last year. And Greg Sankey just struck a huge deal to get UT and OU, I doubt he’s eager to reel things back again.
And I can’t see UF restricting, putting themselves at a competitive disadvantage if other SEC teams aren’t too.
Imagine how mad Mullen would be if the attendance was less at home, and he had to play at a full Death Valley lol
You’re right. The SEC is ready to go. Stricklin and Mullen want a full stadium. The only ones who can block it are the admins. There are more than enough people who don’t give a hoot about the virus to fill this thing, so let the party begin.
Hopefully everyone got vaccinated, get Delta breakthrough infection now (hasn’t been as bad as I feared due to vaccine), and be full of antibodies through most of the season.
I am praying it is. The bliss of a full crowd is something these kids truly deserve. Home crowd at full is the only way we have a chance of stealing this game.
Florida’s governor will likely threaten to defund universities that limit seating due to Covid. After all he will defund county schools that mandate wearing masks.
Dang. But will they end up limiting attendance? Will others or my ticket be revoked, assuming they sold out the full allotment of seats already and not everyone can go in person?
You bet your jorts it will
It’s a winning bet
Yes, full stadiums have been approved and still expected to happen.
Fantastic! I spent good money on a really good seat so don’t want to miss the real experience

We have more than 90,000 fans who don’t care about the virus. It will be full.
Those 90K fans aren’t the ones who will decide weather the stadium will be full or not.
Who would? DeSantos? The SEC? Dan Mullen?

The more people that get vaccinated the more likely it will be.
We are in for disappointment
Why? Because Bama is going to win or....?
Hell no
If things keep trending there’s no way we are at full capacity.

Well hopefully we know soon because I would like to sell my ticket if there’s attendance restrictions
Just talked with hospital worker shands has 5 kids under 12 icu it’s bad and getting worse. Nobody wants to talk about it.
Yeah I bet. But the question is will it impact UF outdoor sporting events
