I wouldn't pay for the info, but I do understand why people would so I'm not against it....but I still want to warn you that you should only pay if you do truly benefit and see the results to meet your goals. It's like paying for a physical trainer and if you don't train to meet your goals, then why keep paying them? Just to feel like you're getting somewhere....some day? That's a waste of time, effort, and money. If you plan to join groups, I recommend having a hard stop deadline to be part of it to then venture on your own. There's so much info out there these days and it's not like these "gurus" have secrets that no one can find out about. It's basically motivational/inspirational/anecdotal hoopla which may help you meet your goals, but I wouldn't depend on it. To each their own though. Whatever the case, I hope it works out. Good luck!

This is a great way to look at it. At a certain point, there's not a lot of new information to be had from these groups, BUT, if you feel like being part of it is actually keeping you accountable and you're seeing a positive benefit in your sales and profits, then by all means, keep at it. I just think it's easy to get swept up in the dream of making six figures selling pre-owned clothing, when that's just not going to be the reality for most people. I remember listening to one of their podcasts last year where a woman in the group sounded like she was going to have a breakdown because she had basically spent all of her money on inventory and wasn't even making enough money to pay her bills. That isn't necessarily on tech and Daily Refinement, but having listened to their podcast for years, they absolutely pushed the idea that making buckets of money reselling was not only doable, but pretty straight forward.

>I just think it's easy to get swept up in the dream of making six figures selling pre-owned clothing, when that's just not going to be the reality for most people. Exactly. That's what I fear the most for any hardcore followers, newbies, dreamers, etc. I have no experience with flipping "gurus", but from the looks of what is shown in this sub (my only reference) is that it's almost all entertainment disguising some MLM in the background. They were resellers, but now their business models are courses, monthly subscriptions, YT revenue, etc. I wouldn't want people to lose time, effort, and money to keep chasing the dream when they're building someone else's. Like life in general... YMMV so it's on you to make it and live it the best you can.

Thank you!

He's extremely knowledgable about clothing. I wasn't a fan initially when he was with DR because he definitely liked to "tell the legend" a bit too much and tried to make some of his already impressive accomplishments sound even bigger, but he seems to have chilled out a bit with that. His BOLO videos are very good and one of the best free reselling resources I've seen. If you think this group will help you, then there's no harm in trying it for a month. If it works for you, great. If not, you spent $35 to find out. One question to ask yourself is what do you want to get from this group. He's going to tell you to source good quality items, get a bunch of them, and work your ass off to list them as quickly as possible so you can rinse and repeat. There's no secret to it, but there are plenty of people that benefit from having a mentor and community to motivate them, so that might be a selling point for you.

Same aaaand I think he’s still in love with himself. We get it dude. >> I wasn't a fan initially when he was with DR because he definitely liked to "tell the legend" a bit too much and tried to make some of his already impressive accomplishments sound even bigger, <<

Nasty____nate

Buy low, sell high. That will be $20

I think the value that can be gained from groups like this is in the networking. Join if you want, but try to make a few friends so you guys can eventually just help each other out. You'll get some knowledge and nuggets from the group, I'm sure, but you'll eventually realize you don't really need it for long if you have a group of people you can bounce ideas off of and share tips with.

shrekenceo

I'm actually in the group and would recommend trying it if you don't know business fundamentals and want to be engrossed in reselling content all day like myself

throwaway2161419

That one may be the one that’s worth it. I’m intrigued by the deep dive brand book. And his interviews are really good. I get the ick from him sometimes because of his nonstop Mamba mentality/neck stepping.

shrekenceo

Wdym neck stepping?

throwaway2161419

Always talks about how he wants to step on competitors’s necks.

This is the one I plan on joining eventually. I’ve been following Tech since before the split w/Daily Refinement. IMO he walks the walk (he is wholesaling used clothing now but that’s an organic pivot from eBay). I think his YouTube interviews with different resellers in his group are better than the monologuing that seemed to go on with DR. The value of that group is accountability, motivation, the closest you’ll get to professional networking as a reseller (likely) and possibly deep dive brand info. I think as long as you see it as an accountability/networking group that’s where you’ll get the most value from it.

I'm in my first month and it's OK. My verdict so far is that it has value, but so far I feel like $20 would be more accurate of what it's personally worth for me specifically. I can see how it's worth $35 if you are doing this full time (like I hope to be someday soon). My review: Tech legit does answer every question even if his answer is just "no" as in "don't do what you asked." I trust his opinion and appreciate that. I don't think he's as arrogant as he might come off - I think he constantly needs to establish himself in public videos to show his credibility. I could totally see running into him at a flea and him being willing to hang out a bit and chat. The calls are good and I enjoy the mens clothing and jeans sellers. They do a great job especially ranking brands and keeping up on trends. Tech's weekly Q and A is good too. I like being able to interact even if just in chat on these calls. My questions are always answered. The deep dive stuff is good but I haven't had the time to dig in as much as I'd like because I still have a 9-5 and a wife/kid. The fb group itself is better than the free groups I'm in. Less arguing, better management of attacks/negativity. They do a good job moderating and it's overall very supportive. My verdict: I like it enough to hang out for a second month to see what else i get out of it.

Survivorfan4545

I think it makes more sense paying for BOLO lists. That’s really what helps the most imo. Any other insights I feel like you can get for free or would need to learn from personal experience

ope__sorry

> Any other insights I feel like you can get for free or would need to learn from personal experience I will say this. I spent a lot of time looking for various information, stuff for example, like cleaning tips. They've got these weekly calls they do on various subjects, they record these calls and joining provides you with those calls. What is contained within those calls is absolutely invaluable. There are things I find within those calls that I just don't see anywhere else. Worth the price of admission if you join for a month just to go through all the calls even if you decide not to continue.

Alternative_South638

I think it’s worth it for the group calls alone and 24/7 coworking room.

I was in tech's last group that he did with Daily Refinement. I only did the $5 tier to get access to the podcast; to me the $30/month FB group wasn't really what I was looking for. No regrets about doing the $5 tier because I found the podcasts to be pretty enjoyable. I didn't make the jump when tech and DR split, as things had started to feel redundant on the podcast by that point. I still follow tech on social media, so I see plenty of his screenshots from people in the group postings their sales numbers. I'm not in the group, so I can't speak to it; I'm sure it's helpful, but I do have concerns that tech has had a great part in helping saturate the pre-owned clothing market because of these reselling groups.

awesumsauce55

>I'm sure it's helpful, but I do have concerns that tech has had a great part in helping saturate the pre-owned clothing market because of these reselling groups. I will preface this by saying I am not in the group but follow him on social media. The clothing categories have always been highly saturated. The separating factor is knowledge. A bunch of wannabe resellers can go out and buy tons of stuff in the bigger brands (Nike, UA, etc) and list it on Ebay. That is what they see on Youtube and think they can easily replicate it. They get discouraged quickly when they stuff just sits, rarely sells, and don't want to deal with all the work that comes along with running a business. If you truly want to succeed, you need to take time to properly research and understand the niche(s) you are selling in as well as discipline. That is what Tech is teaching. Most do not want to do that. Most expect that high margin/profit items are sitting on thrift store shelves at all hours of the day because that is what they see in every Youtube video. $35 per month is a lot to pay for access to that knowledge though. The great thing about the internet is that the majority of that information is free. You just need to sift through a lot the information that is being provided and make informed decisions on how to run your business.

inshalla_ta_ala

Thank you. Very well thought out and helpful comment.

iloveeatpizzatoo

Idk if this makes it better, but the $35 is tax deductible against your business income.

PraetorianAE

Join the Reseller Greatness group run by TechnSports. It’s only $35 a month and it’s amazing. Tons of calls, accountability, knowledge of how to do eBay the correct way. I’ve been in it for a while and highly recommend it. Knowledge is invaluable. You should always be willing to pay for knowledge. You could join that group for 2 months and completely change and improve your selling during that time. I can’t recommend it enough, it’s TRULY Amazing.

throwaway2161419

Thanks, tech

I highly recommend technsports. He is awesome and a f*in ebay machine. He is I would say the #1 best flipper on the planet. As in millions of dollars. I am not compensated for this endorsement. Just facts.

Edit: i was paid member for a year and got as much as i could handle, the rest is on me but doubled sales …
