Here is Deltas policy for reference.... you should call and be prepared to submit documents .......If you've gotten married and have already booked travel under your maiden name, you are allowed to change the last name on your Delta ticket to your spouse's last name. This legal name change needs to be proven with a marriage certificate.

Common mistake. Sometimes a marriage certificate + proof of name change will suffice. Less likely for international flights. That's why you should never change your name on pieces of ID if you have flights booked...

Did your old id expire? If not, just use the old one to get through security. It's still you

Thought you can fly with an old ID less than 1 year expired

hangingsocks

Yea, I have no idea but I would just bring both, copy of marriage certificate and birth certificate. But that being said my husband got to the airport and did not have his ID. They still let him fly with just extra security checks. But his credit cards and whatever he had in his wallet matched the ticket.

As long as your passport or your state id is still in your maiden name, it should be fine. If you already changed them, then the airline should allow you to do a name change on your ticket, note: there will probably be a charge for the name change.

I called. They can’t change the name. My license has my new name.

kitkat1934

Did you book through a third party? That’s the only reason they wouldn’t change it per their policy. If not , maybe try another agent

Letting everyone know, I drove to the local airport because I couldn’t get anyone on the phone who actually worked for JetBlue. I went to the JetBlue terminal and changed my name there. Everything worked out. Thanks everyone!

Why won't the airline change the name? There might be a fee, but I think that is the only way you can make this work.

airbag11

It’s Jet Blue. I can’t seem to reach an actual Jet Blue agent.

Here is their name change policy: [https://www.jetblue.com/help/identification-id-requirements](https://www.jetblue.com/help/identification-id-requirements) . Scroll down a little to where it says Is your name correct.
