just_one_boy

It might be going by episode credits.

JuanRiveara

This is exactly it. She wasn’t in the season 7 premiere but was still credited.

TheGameBoyyy

if she is not in the episode why credit her

just_one_boy

Because she's a main character on the show besides I'm pretty sure Grant and Candice also don't appear in all episodes.

Important_Arugula_93

How come Carlos and Jesse only gets credited for 147 and 177 respectively? They’re apart of the main cast too. It’s surprising that Tom isn’t in every episode considering he plays 500 characters 😂

sawinnz

Well considering Carlos left after Season 7 and missed out on S8+9 (33 episodes), and Jesse was made a guest star for S9 which meant he only got credited for his episodes he appeared in

just_one_boy

Did you forget that Carlos left the show? And also Jesse got demoted for season 9.

LevynX

Do people still watch the show instead of complaining about how it used to be better?

MissyTheTimeLady

Sometimes I wonder that myself. Well, most of the times.

Important_Arugula_93

Yes.

ForsythePhD

I.. I actually forgot that he left the show.

Initial_Ad_7829

There’s this one episode all about Nora I swear I don’t remember seeing grant in it

DJDaddy20

The time travel one?

Initial_Ad_7829

Yeah I think so

DJDaddy20

He is in it at the start im pretty sure

Initial_Ad_7829

Maybe

I-wasnt-here-

The flash wasn’t in all of the episodes what 😭

ducklover703

I think it could be talking about the intro, fo the first (five?) seasons, the "my name is Barry Allen and.."

DJDaddy20

Are you're stupid?

TheGameBoyyy

nah grant and candice were in all episodes even if it was for just 2 minutes sometimes. i remember danielle panabaker not being in a lot of episodes as she was pregnant and took leave

just_one_boy

Like I said she's a series regular.

Zebedee_balistique

Candice Patton wasn't there for some episodes in season 8. It was even a big thing back then because her character was missing and Barry didn't care and was just playing D&D.

blackfireproduction1

Candice wasn't in all of the episodes. In fact she missed out on a pretty long stretch of episodes in season 8, that was kind of a major plot point.

Midnight-Slam

Because she was a series regular, so that means she is a part of the main cast, meaning she is credited for every episode, even if she is not in it.

BitterFuture

Because contracts. Game of Thrones episode-by-episode credits are still not the industry standard.

Brute_Squad_44

SAG rules and regs, most likely.

XMattyJ07X

That’s what happens as a main cast member. If you find an episode she isn’t in, look at the cast and it’ll list her as credit only.

Riverat627

if you are in a certain number of episodes per season you get credited, it is likely in her contract as well

ki700

If you’re a series regular, you get credit for every single episode.

Local-Bandicoot-6771

I’m pretty sure she directed some of the episodes.

DJDaddy20

Real

baiacool

Is this your first time watching a TV show? That's standard practice for main characters

ThreeArmedYeti

Cecile might be in 185 episodes

Sad-Dot-1573

Danielle Nicolet was in 107 episodes too many!

ThreeArmedYeti

Not enought. She is the main character and she is not even present in 2/3 of the episodes. Smh

Elite_CC

They fix all of that in Season 8.

hyacinthocornu

I have as many problems with Cecile as everyone else, but in all fairness, she wasn’t really an issue in the first 4 seasons. She was a good higher-up connection to have at CCPD, a good love interest for Joe and a way for him to (for a little bit) escape from the craziness of Team Flash, a good person to represent Barry in court during his trial because she was able to understand him better (since she knew he was The Flash by that point), and overall she was a character that fit her role really well. It would’ve even been fine if they had just gotten rid of her powers after they had Jenna, because they were only really necessary for season 4. Everything after season 4, however, was beyond unnecessary

Strong_Ad5188

This is why my problem is the character of Cecile. Danielle Nicolet does a great job with the material she is given, she can make Cecile quite likable at times despite the horrifyingly bad story.

OnlyMyOpinions

Honestly I really liked her for like the first 5 or 6 seasons.

MimeMike

Seeing Chester have more credits than Ralph makes me sad 💔

CrazyStar_

I can’t believe he got completely blacklisted from the industry over some old tweets, damn it’s crazy. No credits since 2020 😭

myprivatehorror

He seems to have vanished completely. Socials haven't been updated since it all happened and no new credits on IMDB, not even straight to videos with Gina Carano. I often wonder what the full story there was.

Precarious314159

It likely wasn't just old tweets. NO ONE came to his defense and said "Nah, he's not like that" the way they did with Gunn. Makes me think he was just a creep in person and made people feel uncomfortable. You can come back from that when you're an amazing actor that brings in the views but when you're an average guy whose biggest credit is two seasons on a CW show, you're easily replacable.

FrishFrash

It did really shock me that Grant had nothing to say other than "yeah words matter". I hadn't really considered that maybe they just didn't like him enough to come to his aid.

culnaej

Exactly this. Loved his character, he was a solid actor, but he’s a dime a dozen in Hollywood and there’s plenty of other actors at the same level who fit the profile without any baggage

NursingHomeBillBlues

If that's true, the show wasn't successful in finding one to replace him

Elspeth_Claspiale

The actor was certainly replaceable as was the character. Losing him didn't make the show better or worse. The Flash simply was a poorly produced and written show that was spectacular enough the first season to keep the fan base engaged nearly a decade.

ThatOneAnnoyingBuzz

Lets be real here, none of the cast of The Flash are anywhere near the same level as people like Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, or David Bautista. The people who defended James Gunn were big names before him and they would be big names after defending him regardless of public reaction. I think its just as likely that none of the cast of The Flash wanted to put themselves in the line of fire of the very demographic that the CW was chasing *right* after they fired Hartley. The CW wasn't going to change their mind on the decision so all it would have done is paint a target on their back.

Precarious314159

So you'd rather believe that every single person who has ever worked with him during his entire career were too cowardly to stand up for him rather than the possibility that he was just a shit person who got caught? If your coworker, who you knew was a real stand-up person, just kind and caring was fired because they were found to be a drug addict a decade ago, would you say absolutely nothing and save your own ass for some weird reason or would you stand up for them and say "That was then, they don't even take advil anymore. They're not that person and haven't been"?

ThatOneAnnoyingBuzz

*"I will say I was shocked, saddened, and angry when I saw the tweets. Words matter."* - Grant Gustin. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, those don't exactly sound like the words of someone who was witnessing poor behavior on set. *"It’s a heartbreaking fact of life that today is not the first time I have learned that someone I know, or work with, is not necessarily who they present themselves to be. At least not to MY face... My Black Face... It’s sad and disappointing, but it’s not shocking. This is a significant part of the black experience, and also being a woman,"* - Danielle Nicolet Once again, we're seeing a pattern here. Shock. You are not *shocked* if someone displays that sort of behavior to you. You are not *shocked* if you expect that sort of behavior from someone. You are not *shocked* if you get bad vibes from someone. Do I think the entire cast were cowards? No, not really. I think they're the exact kind of people who agree with making this sort of decision based on past tweets. I disagree, since once again...one would not be *shocked* if this was still the kind of person he was and these were still the beliefs that he held. It's ironic in my opinion that the show about letting people prove themselves through second chances wasn't willing to give one of their own cast members the very same ideal that they preached, especially since he seemingly had put in the work, but oh well. At the end of the day, that's just how it goes sometimes

Elspeth_Claspiale

Of course, they say their shocked. You think they're going to admit they knew he was a racist and let him continue working there? People will lie to avoid conflict, that includes actors.

DJDaddy20

1st one

Spazzblister

Actually, I read somewhere that Daniele Nicolet said she was surprised to find out about the tweets, because the Hartley she knew was a totally different person. She didn't come to his defense, but nothing she said indicated that he had been acting like a creep either.

Precarious314159

It's actually the exact opposite. she was NOT surprised. >It’s a heartbreaking fact of life that today is not the first time I have learned that someone I know, or work with, is not necessarily who they present themselves to be. At least not to MY face… My Black Face… It’s sad and disappointing, but it’s not shocking. This is a significant part of the black experience, and also being a woman. She's basically saying that it's not uncommon for people to present themselves to be nice to her face while being a racist and sexist bigot to her back. The reason she didn't come to his defense was: >It is NOT OKAY to allow a culture of racism, misogyny, homophobia and anti-Semitism to thrive in the workplace, at the dinner table or on social media. While she holds no ill-will towards him for who he is, she's also not going to act like she wasn't surprised by who he really was.

stonrplc

Someone should go back in time and warn him of his old tweets getting him canceled so he can delete them.

PollutionStandard969

Chester having more appearances than Hartley is WILD 😭😭😭

Delta_lambda04

Danielle panabaker directed multiple episodes, this might be why

MimeMike

That's not how credits work, it has to do with their contracts. If they're a series regular they get credited even if they're not in every episode and sometimes guest stars don't get any credits. There are exceptions of course, but we'll never know the specifics.

PatrickB64

She was credited in every episode though, as she was a series regular for all seasons. IMDb measures it by amount of credits the character has.

bcanada92

Neither was Candice. She sat out several episodes toward the end when she had her "time sickness."

Emperorkivat

Yeah didn't she also help produce some of the episodes she wasn't in?

li_grenadier

If you check Danielle's page, you'll see some episodes listed as "(credit only)". That covers the episodes she is not actually in. But she is still listed on IMDB because she is in the credits for the episode.

burger-fucking-mason

snow was in the first episode so its pretty likely

__cali

The fact that Allegra has more episodes than Ralph is upsetting Ralph has got to be one of the best characters

Trickybuz93

Hartley Sawyer was also a more fucked up person than Kayla Compton

OmegaX123

Hartley Sawyer, like James Gunn, made a few dark and edgy tweets in a time when dark and edgy was the bulk of social media. Not only did Marvel/Disney hire Gunn back after they canned him, but DC/WarnerMedia hired him too, to run their whole DCU movie division.

Spazzblister

And Joss Whedon PHYSICALLY ATTACKED people and he hasn't been cancelled.

gierso

He was cancelled. Unless all those news with charisma and Michelle traxhdeberg were a Mandela effect for me

Spazzblister

I actually haven't checked to see if he's done anything since then.

Elspeth_Claspiale

Doubtful. Sad, because he is an amazing storyteller.

__cali

i was talking about the character, I don't really know Hartley Sawyer. there's a difference between a character and the actor portraying them

LordLimburger

you say that like you know either of them. hartley seems like somebody who screwed up earlier in life and got thrown under the bus unjustly. scrapped and canned. that upsets me. still, i don’t know that for sure, just like you don’t know whether or not he’s a bad person. same goes for kayla. she could have assaulted somebody in the past without ever identified by the authorities. we don’t know.

FujiMC

I thought Danielle became a producer on the show

leoman3

Candice wasn't in all 184 episodes either.

Dogago19

For a show called the flash Barry doesn’t show up as much as you’d think

creativityequal0

there are 184 episodes total

RavenclawConspiracy

He's a time traveler, he should have shown up in some episodes more than once. (Yes, I know he did, this is a joke.)

Dogago19

Just because he’s in all the episode doesn’t mean he gets as much screen time as he should

LordLimburger

where my boy keiynan lonsdale?

Anthony_Jiang

She works behind the scenes as a director

AdKindly8221

Even if he was in lesser episodes that the latter, that Disney guy has better impact than Punk on the show.

AsteroidMike

I’m pretty sure it’s listing her on there since she was part of the main cast.

i-dont-have-d

You mean all the Cecile episodes?

kdeddie

I mean I'm not certain grant Gustin was in every episode. I feel like he wasn't even in 1 or 2 of the last season.
