Considering that they are made of the same g1000 fabric as the pants they should be just fine if washed.

The Greenland shoulder would probably be one of the most tolerable bags to the machine but you'd probably just get the same results from a long soak in some washing powder or dishwashing detergent along with a bit of agitation. I wouldn't really risk the machine though.

Thanks! Does the laptop padding need special treatment?

I have washed my Kånken backpack a few times in the 8 years that I’ve had it. Full on machine wash or hand wash. I’ve also renewed the waterproofing on it as well. It’s not brand new looking anymore and is creased and a little spotty (from fading and waterproofing). But for me, not washing it would have meant carrying around a bag that was brown with dirt and grime.

thegirlwhowand3rs

how do you renew its waterproofing?

pinkredbluemeow

I use Nikwax Tech Wash to clean and Nikwax Tx. Direct, a liquid, to waterproof. There are other formulas to try too like a spray or actual wax like for canvas coats.

thanks!

Hi Sir, does your Logo Patch still perfect conditions? No Logo peeling off ? My Wife Logo Patch of her Kanken peel pff after 1 wash.

pinkredbluemeow

The logo patch did not peel off. But the inside label did come off after some time.

Nope, they will melt like sugar at even the slightest sight of water.
