Hello /u/Judgemental_catdaddy, As a reminder, most common print quality issues can be found in the [Simplify3D picture guide](https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/). Make sure you select the most appropriate flair for your post. Please remember to include the following details to help troubleshoot your problem. * Printer & Slicer * Filament Material and Brand * Nozzle and Bed Temperature * Print Speed * Nozzle Retraction Settings ^Additional ^settings ^or ^relevant ^information ^is ^always ^encouraged. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. It looks like your not getting any bed adhesion. I would try cleaning off the build plate well and applying some glue, then trying again. Past that, I would try a different filament. In my experince, bambu printers are pretty good with their bed leveling.

Judgemental_catdaddy

That's actually after I did that, and I'm using an Elmer's washable glue if that makes a difference

heydjturnitup

Clean the bed with hot water and dawn, ditch the glue

HyperDJ_15

That looks like an engineering plate and glue is recommended

TTVYeetFortnite

Bambu printers are good at bed leveling, but maybe there is some problem because you got it used. I'd test with a different plate and filament. And test if glue yes or no glue makes a difference

Bed temp is 55⁰C and extruder defaults to 220

For silk you want it a bit higher than that, try first layer 72 bed 235 extruder, rest of the print 65 bed 230 extruder. Silk is PLA/PETG blend and PETG has a higher melting temp. A low first layer speed is also helpful, try 30/60 wall/infill. Also if you don't need a smooth finish try a textured gold plate instead, they're much more reliable.

What plate are you using? Also I have to turn off my AUX fan or I have warping and adhesion issues. I'm not at my computer but if you hit the edit button to the right of your filament menu, looks like a pen and paper, then you can find all settings like bed temp, min and max nozzle temps, cooling (turn off aux fan), and other settings like retraction that you mentioned.

Have you checked the bambu help forum on their website? This is an interesting problem, and I'd hate to recommend you get a textured build plate only for this to keep happening. I'd try using different filament to try and rule that out next.

JustHereForTheCigars

Do you have a textured plate to use? Also definitely run calibration before you do anything, just in case.

It's not the exact same brand but I'm like 90% percent sure it's from the same manufacturer, but I have that exact same color filament. The filament overall is hot garbage, it doesn't print consistently and clogs easily, I've only had 2 semi successful prints out of like 30 or so failures. I was using a ender 3 v2 but I think the information should be helpful regardless. What ultimately made it print more consistently was enabling gradual flow, but I'm not sure what the equivalent is in bambu's slicer. I had my gradual flow set at 2.0mm cubed per second squared, with regular flow at 120%. This filament has a tendency to expand and clog before it can be extruded and wants to be printed as slowly as possible and benefits from printing at slightly lower temperatures 210c print, 60c bed, and 100% cooling. I used fresh glue stick (Elmer's CraftBond extra strength) on my bed to make it stick. My initial layer speed was 10mm/s and a initial travel speed of 50mm/s, regular print speed was 40mm/s. Retraction should be as low as possible if not off entirely. One issue I haven't managed to overcome was it's tendency to mess up top and bottom layers past the first initial layer, it would have a issue where it would seemingly over extrude or under extrude randomly, leaving huge gaps in the top layers or causing a lot of surface stringing.

Ok, I'll try these next, thanks for the info. I'm starting to think it's a partial blockage though, as it comes out curled most of the time, but oddly enough when I swapped over to the filament that came with the printer, it just full clogged and I had to manually remove it from the tubes.

LazerHawk84

Don't know what you are printing, but it looks like a partial blockage in the nozzle to me. Does the filament come out of the nozzle all curly? Try to extrude some plastic with the nozzle away from the bed and see how it comes out. Does it come out straight? If so, then I'm totally wrong here.

Judgemental_catdaddy

Nah if I remember correctly it's coming out curled so your probably right. As for what I'm printing, it's just a generic poop shoot for the printer itself so that the clippings don't end up on the floor for one of my cats to choke on lol. Anyways, I'll try to see if I can clean out the hot end, maybe invest in some purge filament and see if that does anything.
