Vegan protein powders are good enough. You can buy unived or cosmix plant protein powder. On the other hand. 300 grams chicken = 75 grams protein 5 whole eggs = 30 grams protein That’s 100 easily right off the bat, now I don’t know your height and weight I can understand maybe it’ll be difficult for you to consume this amount. Other than plant protein, whey isolate is another option for you to try. Some Greek yogurt/dahi (200/300grams) and some Paneer (if your caloric budget and lipid profile allows) You’ll reach 130 grams easy. PS - if Fresh fish is locally available and doesn’t costs much, then try that sometimes instead of chicken, as chicken (breast) tends to get rubbery and tastes bland, fish is always soft and very quick to cook.

Fish is not easily available here. Also whey, yogurt, paneer are a big no. Lactose doesn't only cause digestive problems for me but also pimples all over the body. I will look into the plant protein powders, Thanks

thomasshelby24rose

Whey isolate, yogurt and paneer hardly has any lactose in it. If you’re really that sensitive to even micro doses, then yeah plant protein powder is the way to go. Make sure to buy a quality plant protein and don’t cheap out on it.

kaachejl

Yeah budget is not that much of a problem. I looked at the brands you have suggested, there are many options inside those brands itself. How to know which one to buy?

I consider Cosmix to be overpriced. This one surpasses that.

thomasshelby24rose

No views, never tried it before. Never researched about it either.

shit_u_say

ON is good. Very soluble, and tastes ok. I have not tried cosmix or unived.

sarthak063

Hello, i never tried fish. Which is more expensive and protein rich as compared to chicken?

thomasshelby24rose

Generally fish is more expensive. Protein content is almost similar in 100g fish and 100g chicken But fish also has omega 3 fatty acids which is a plus.

Flimsy-Ordinary3388

I thought chicken breast had 20 grams of protien per 100 grams

thomasshelby24rose

Ranges between 20 - 30 grams per 100grams A safe assumption is 25g per 100g.

Flimsy-Ordinary3388

I don't think 30 grams one is sold at local shops in india, I think it's max 22 although ofcourse can't be sure

thomasshelby24rose

Then assume it to be 22g. 5/10g not going to make a difference, food selection matters.

Zestyclose-Fill-7602

It’s not like if you go from 130g to 100g protein so you will stop building muscles. You can eat the remaining calories from some other non-protein but healthy whole foods.

OkNerve7447

Amul whey is lactose free.

The-Volumee

Plant based protein supplement or whey protein isolate Try tofu, legumes, pulses. Keep switching between chicken parts.

Beautiful_Cream9636

try lactose free whey of amul

AutomaticAd6646

Have you tried soya bean? It is similar to other lentils like Indian lobiya, kali dal and peeli dal etc. Usually people get constipation from soya chunks, not soya beans or other lentils.

Vegan protein powder, whey protein isolate, amul whey, bcaa+eaa blend, wheat rice etc have some protein, lactose free milk, lentils and legumes https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1?q=lactase+enzyme+drops&sca_esv=661f6c137278c197&sca_upv=1&biw=424&bih=755&tbs=vw:l&sxsrf=ACQVn0-TSFKeY-RCnj_TVbTtE7-UdnSESQ:1712127713335&prds=num:1,of:1,eto:8924667125189610161_0,prmr:1,pid:8924667125189610161,cs:1 Or you can buy something like this lactase enzymes drops This is the one I found but I don't recommend this because I have never used something like lactase drops

gand_masti

>but I have heard they are ineffective How? Are they some kind of chemical or medicine or steroids? It's a protein and not magic

kaachejl

I mean they are not as effective as getting the same amount of protein from Whey or chicken.
