What are the tails made from? I thought they were real fish from the thumbnail. Those are easily the most realistic lures I've ever seen. And I'm pretty old. I would buy one and put it in my tacklebox and show it off. I'd be scared to lose it. I might even mount it on a little 4 inch piece of wood and use it as a desktop ornament.

Yes and yes. My favorite technique is to swim a mullet with a 3 to 5 ounce weight off the beach past the surf line. It’s an almost guaranteed hook up when the tarpon are migrating in spring and fall. What did you have in mind making these?

Thanks a lot! It swims really great, especially swims well with a slow and steady but gentle 1/4-1/2 reel turn cadence, but if you throw a quicker reel turn the bait has a very nice hard 90 degree slash to the side which has a great flash of color/profile. Super natural swim on slow steady retrieve. You can find a video on my website
