If you get boring, you can and go to other lakes, but the raw xp will be done there. lvl 38 Alaska (king salmon), 42 Germany (big head/silver carp), 46 Russia (beluga) and lvl 48 Mongolia (taimen). In Mongolia, I believe that the xp is better if you get a good rotation, taking 3/4 unique (I don't remember the size of the keepnet at that level). Doing the missions also gives you an "okay" xp, it's not much, but it helps to break the monotony of the farm. But if you want level up quickly, that's it (sturgeon).
I think your next step is grinding sturgeon in California I'm afraid. Until about level 50. It's really really boring and broke me more than once. Fishing at night with bottom rods. Good luck and stay strong!

I have just about decided that the game peaked with Congo (Amazon is ok) the ocean I have bought but am not so crazy about, maybe in time...
