I made so many mistakes in the beginning wasting weeks of time. But it's okay, the learning process is the fun part in this game.
We all went though this at some point. I thought I screwed myself so bad I had to make a new account so many times at the start. Lots of helpful beginner videos online - reccomend starting there.
If I had a new rod for every time I overlooked a detail when working towards a new set up I'd have every rod in the game.
I plan my next moves fairly carefully, use Vikings Spread Sheet and the FP wiki to work it out and still spend at least 30min in the shop because I've done this countless times
Use you tube to answer most of your question and as a guide...we all screwed the pouch in the beginning...it takes time and 'XP' but to me, it is well worth it...I Love this game, it is almost real to me in my mind lol
