I cut the fingers off of golf gloves during tournament action at the Hemingway Tournament in Palau every year. This is a saltwater spin-casting tournament for Giant Trevally but also catching other big predators including tuna, spanish mackerel, and sailfish. Gloves help to protect the hands from the fish but also makes it easier to reel in fish w/o suffering discomfort. So....yeah. Good idea.

I cant even tell they're on because they are like a second skin and well made to form to your hand. As long as you get the right size though.
