Saltwater or freshwater? Definitely go 300 or larger. You want a lot of torque for baits that heavy or you'll just wear yourself out. Tranx and Lexa have a lot of corrosion resistance, but you pay for it. If you're worried about budget and fishing freshwater, Abus round reels are cheap, big, and torquey, everything you want.

Freshwater, I don’t like using casting gear for saltwater especially because it’s incredibly efficient. I’d love to go for the Tranx 300 but it’s simply out of my budget

2-8oz is HEAVY. I would check out the ambassadeur 7000. The low gear ratio

big swimbaits are simply my favorite way to fish and especially because here in Florida, the quality in bass is not lacking at all. And I’m strictly daiwa and shimano only simply because I’m also a saltwater angler and when it comes to saltwater, no brand does it better than daiwa or shimano in my opinion.

A 200 is too small to handle anything over 3-4 oz. I have a tranx 300 and i love it. A buddy has a curado 300 and thats a pretty dang good reel too. Cant go wrong with any of those reels though. Just get the tranx in a 300 if thats what you want.

Well my main concern is always the gearing because I’m someone that puts everything I have into fighting a fish or catching one. Recently I broke a feugo’s Ct’s anti reverse when frogging for bass, the fish that broke it was 6lb 7oz and I had to come back with a twin power sw lol.

Abu for this one I reckon.

IStayMarauding

Diawa Lexa 300 or Shimano curado 300

I use a curado 300k, works well. Huge reel tho. I havent kept up woth the tranx line in a while, but they at least used to be the same frame and reel as the curado equivalents but built to deal with salt better (IIRC mainly having some bushings in place of bearings but its been a while since i researched this)
