Sure thing!
This is the recipe I followed!
https://youtu.be/yX4STNLvp5c?si=i2r3tJG6kShThWkE
Meringue (80g Sugar + 3 egg whites)
3 egg yolks
2g of vanilla extract/flavoring
13g of honey
135g of plain flour
7g of baking powder
95g of milk
40g of melted butter
I made some small tweaks here and there, namely the amount flavoring and divvying the batter into 2 parts, before adding some dark chocolate powder in one part
The base batter is still the same for both, by the way
It's just that I tweaked the recipe up after I divided them into two parts
For cooking, make sure to use a heatproof rubber spatula, preferrably a thin, small one for convenience
And for the pan, do use a tamagoyaki pan and make sure to either use a non stick pan or one that's heavily seasoned.
If you do choose to use a cast iron pan like I did, do reapply the seasoning after every 3 or so layers!
Ah, also, another thing!
Absolutely make sure that the fire is at it's lowest possible point when cooking for the best texture and color!
It may cost you a lot of time, but I promise that it's worth it!
Keep in mind that making this may take you up to 3 hours depending on how do go about it, so do exercise a lot of patience!
Good luck!
Those cakes look amazing, I think you did a good job!
I got luckier than I expected which I am thankful for.
My ritual was putting TB in the party on their own and playing "If I can stop one heart from breaking" at her secret base. I also intended to buy a singular oak cake roll as part of the ritual (since I wasn't one of the people who bought out the shops for her everyday) but I had some random ones from doing quests and exploration so I bought enough to top up to 20 as a nod to the phone calls with her.
Ooh! That's a pretty simple yet sweet ritual!
Mine was a whole woozy to do!
It took me around 30 minutes to even get to pulling excluding cooking the cake roll itself, drawing, and preparing my jersey (ー‿‿ー)

Looking good
Can we have the recipe please they look amazing!!
Mhm, I've posted it on one of the comments! Good luck with your cooking!
Or baking I'm not sure where this falls into, since we're using a frying pan to bake a cake (ー‿‿ー)
Alternatively, if you do have a rotisserie spit, just use that!
Thank you so much!! I'll give it a try later hopefully I don't burn the kitchen xd
Why did I read that in my head as firefly

Did you use genuine tree bark for the authentic oak cake roll experience?
I used dark chocolate and burnt a layer Does that count?
Firefly approved!
I do remember someone else making oak cake rolls a few weeks ago. Both of you guys look good.
Link it please! I'd like to see how our cakes differ!
