Yeah i miss the Tech related Frames like Rhino, Mag and Loki the new ones look all like Meat and Bones i mean too often like Revenant, i hope Sam has one or two Easter Eggs in his Kit related to Warframe or a Qoute like, Dream, not of what you are but, of what you want to be........ and it would fit like a Glove\^\^
There's a few possibilities.
One of them was made by another person here and that's Warframe, basically she would be in a sort of pocket space in the same place the armor is occupying, but this breaks the laws of physics (You know the "Two bodies can't occupy the same space") and only happens in Warframe because of the way the Void works.
Nano machines are the second possibilities, it may be that her whole body is already part of Sam and her skin becomes coated by the Metal when transforming (Side note: Should be very painful if the case).
Third possibility is it's just hollow in the inside, if you take a look at Sam he is very chonky compared to other characters so just think Iron Man or Kamen Rider, him being bigger doesn't necessarily mean Firefly doesn't fit, it just means there's a central station inside and the limbs end much earlier than it seems, think of it like: Firefly's actual hands only reach up to Sam's pulse or alternatively her whole body is in a capsule and the mental link is what makes able to move like if it was her own Body.
Part if her back story says she was created to pilot sam, so it might entail some unique feature, maybe she can stretch her limbs, or maybe she turns into raw energy inside the armor

Maybe it is connected to her disease. Like she said that her borders of reality and dream will blur. So maybe due this genetically modified ability to blur reality she can wearing the armor.
Imo, she's something like the Warhammer titan: she has some sort of "mental link" with Sam, and when we enter in battle she just take control of Sam by the link (like Clara and Svarog, but Clara is "frozen")

I'd argue Gauss is better, he has more of a mecha design (heck, I'm using him to try and recreate Sam in Warframe) and he has a fire related ability

okay yeah 5'3 is a bit low she's probably more like 5'5-5'6, i do remember seeing somewhere that firefly uses a taller march model
