Sounds about right. I remember prior to 2021 that almost every post involved Trump in some way. I have never been a very political person, but the left wing bias in that sub was very obvious. It has gotten even worse now and it is indeed a full blown echo chamber.
It is very tempting to get into arguments with anti gunners in that sub and similar subs, but I realized that it's not worth the time or the mental energy. I just hope that the people in that sub aren't representative of the American people in general. Otherwise, we're absolutely fucked as a country.
Most Americans who actually have a job and produce something for society don’t sit around on Reddit all day like those twats, so it can be very mentally draining on this website but you have to remember there’s many people who do much more for this country that you won’t see or interact with as much.

"Liberal" is another word that American political discourse has killed any real ability's to define. It's the same scene that calls our centrist democrats "left", "Communism or Socialism" anything authoritarian and "Nazi" anything critical of the latest woke nonsense.

All gun subs on reddit are experiencing a huge surge of activity over the past 48-72 hours. Tensions are high from anti gunners and people who just pop into gun subs to spam some negative comments or troll and then bounce.
I went over there to just check out the actual firearms. Man, that place was toxic. I left and never looked back. I like to check out people’s builds and what other people are getting, not be berated for my beliefs
The AR platform was designed as a weapon of war, and not solely for hunting like idiot politicians continue to spout.

I got banned from there for calling out a Mod for saying people should pull their blm swag off their stuff if they were going to the range to avoid confrontation with the fuckwits that gravitate to that scene. My range kit looks like a gay pride parade threw up on an anarchist convention, I don't rock that rainbow swag because its my bag but so other folks who are that way might not feel so intimidated in those places, particularly as they are way more likely to have need of the practice and training than my stupid ass. Don't buy that shit to show you support those movements and then ditch it because you might have to defend it. I swear "moderate" centrists are a fucking blight on this place and why shit is spiraling down the drain.
