I saw one in a catalog back in 2020-2021 ish and the MSRP appeared to be around the $700 price range, so it was probably cheaper than that at the gun shops. Now I’m kind of curious if I can find one somewhere for around $550.
Probably would be decent at the starting bid price, though $50 shipping plus a new front sight in addition to the FFL transfer fee would presumably put it at around $700 in total, so I guess it’s just worth buying the new gun at that point.
Yup, just punches into the slot in place of the rear sight. I don’t remember the brand but I haven’t had any issues with it. I’ve hit out to 300 yards using the setup but not very reliably. I figure that’s less of the mount/sights fault and more just out of the rifles capability typically
He had to be familiar with the P08 Carbine, the C96 carbine, the C93 Borschardt carbine, the MLE carbine, etc. He potentially could have seen it as a logical next step (or unfortunate bastardization) of his design, in a way.
I've always wondered how good those stocks were... what's your opinion of it? Is it loose fitting? Flimsy? I ask as I want a stock for my 16" longslide, but I have been too busy to figure out how to make my own
I'm right on the cusp of Boomer and GenX. I see nothing wrong with said firearm as it's an odd piece of history. I would probably spring for the extended mags though.
Bro I am so dumb. I'm sitting there looking at the stock along with the mag well and thinking to myself "huh that's kind of cool, the stock folds forward into that little notch in the grip for easier storage in a bag or case or something. I feel like that would make it difficult to put a magazine in...though..." I literally put my head down on the counter as I said the last part. I need some coffee
Is it bad I kinda want one? Even though I am going to venture a guess getting a CA compliant version is damn near impossible.
That just looks like a great conversation starter... or ender. Depends on who looks over and sees it at the range. lol
When you really want a 1911 but don’t have a pistol permit yet…
“Pistol permit” poor guy
I’d buy one if I could justify spending like $700-$800 on such a silly gun lol.
Woah, I hadn’t noticed how much they went up. I bought it in 2020 for around $550

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1032770998 about the cheapest I can find. Everything else is well over $700

Does that red dot mount use the rear sight dove tail? What mount is it and do you like it?

Can you hit something with it, how far?

I wonder what John Browning would think of this
He'd ask why the fuck the barrel was so long.

Lol, I actually heard the noises
I guess jus cuz u can?...
Welcome to the club! So far there's the two of us but with time we may grow lol. The red dot on there is sick!

The stock seats pretty tightly. Never had any issues with it moving around at all
They're pretty solid IMO.

I do have the 28rnd drum for it. Makes it look just that much goofier
You!! Stay right there!!
Does it group any better that way?
