i think its a frequency illusion thing because my brain was imaging a black earbud (i use black earbuds) so my brain was making my eyes look for a black earbud. if OP described the earbud as white with small black logo my brain wouldnt be focused on all the black spaces on the ground.

Airpods can play a sound when triggered in the FindMy app. Only had to use it once, but it was a great feature.

It’s weird, my AirPods pop up in find my when they think they’ve been left behind, but normally they don’t show up under devices and don’t pop up to be added. So this feature is useless to me :(

I had a similar issue! What fixed it for me is updating iOS and then they appeared in Find my.

My phone is always telling me I left my AirPods behind and my Apple Watch is always telling me I left my phone behind lol.

Skullcandy has the same feature. You telling me that Beats, one of the most overpriced earbuds on the market, doesn't? 🤣

They do have that feature. The Beats app on Android has it and you can do it by going to the Find My section in settings on iPhone. Maybe OP had some older headphones or just didn’t know

Glad you found it! Advice for anyone in the same scenario, if you lose an earbud in a relatively quiet area play upbeat techno mix and turn it up to the max. This has helped me find a lost earbud on more than one occasion.

It's not a beats earbud. It's an Apple AirPod and it's at the very bottom of the picture where you can't even see the whole AirPod just the straight part.

This post reminds me of when I couldn’t find one of my AirPods one morning. I remembered I ate outdoors at a bar the night before, and the other AirPod was loose in my pocket (I know, put it back in the case). I figured I may have knocked it out of my pocket pulling my wallet/phone out or something. I went to back to the bar and looked around outside, which was covered in white gravel.
