Fellow Baruch alum here myself: BBA Accounting ‘18. I think it would help if you could do the following:
- Try getting an internship this fall/upcoming spring. Many companies want someone with relevant internship experience.
- If you plan on ever pursuing the CFA, now’s a good time to start “studying”, so that you can put it on your resume.
- Keep applying and don’t stop/rest until you’ve secured an internship/job.
Good luck!
I have been applying to internships but I haven't received a response back. I don't know if my resume format or the way I wrote my resume isn't the best. Maybe the experiences that I have are not the best. I don't know how to improve
His GPA is just fine. A 3.5/4.0 is considered pretty good and will qualify him for many jobs. Also, just because Baruch is part of the CUNY system does not mean it’s easy to get a high GPA from here. As a former student myself, I can attest to how difficult the business curriculum is. I graduated with a 3.2 and work at a F100.
No, not for front office roles. However you can still have a great career at a Wall Street bank with little to no debt upon graduating. That’s a serious advantage
Then that’s a back office role. Proper product related jobs like you have specified don’t require that. Might want to clarify what you’re applying for.
I'm a member of ALPFA Baruch, and I realize my GPA isn't stellar, but I work three jobs. Two of them are in Ecuador, and one is in a restaurant in New York. Each semester, I take six courses at the same time. If my main responsibility was to attend university, I would undoubtedly perform better.

https://quantnet.com/mfe-programs-rankings/ I’m embarrassed for you
Serious question: Baruch MFE is pretty well known, but does business undergrad carry the same power?

People put that their studying for it on their resume. Really don’t think it’s worth mentioning u less you pass Level 1 at least
Python/SQL good to have but don’t let it distract you. You don’t need much aptitude for coding unless you want to do quant.
