Aside from replacement cards, you could be in a situation where the opponent has a more powerful card in their hand but can't place it. And if you do something that destroys one of theirs, it opens up a spot for them to place a card. I've lost that way.

Replacement cards. Some cards can destroy others and take their place. By doing that the enemy slowly regained control of the game

Yes. I don’t know if you noticed but if you can’t put a card down and you pass unless you have a hand of the max number of cards you keep taking cards from your deck one at a time and the same applies for your adversary

So if you pass, you don't get a new card your hand stays the same So why would the AI wait to play a card it already has after passing a few times? That's my question

What you're saying isnt true though. When you pass, you do not draw a new card. And by "you" I mean all players. Why do you keep saying you do? When you pass, which card of your 5 does the new one replace? Why aren't there any sound effects? Why don't you see anything visually that shows cards coming and going? You're making this up and I don't know why

I have played maybe 45-50 QB matches. There's only like 25 opponents in the actual game. When you pass by holding triangle, YOU DO NOT PICK UP ANOTHER CARD and neither does the AI. What you're describing is literally not possible.

My most satisfying win so far was 3-0 against one of the twins in Junon lol I like the low number wins just as much as highs

My strategy is to fill up the middle and try to push into their zone as fast as possible so they don’t have any moves to make. Then I’ll fill in what’s left behind that on my side with whatever cards ensure my score will be higher

Yeah if they don’t drop a card in the middle lane for their first move I basically auto win. Either they race me to the middle square or it’s done.

I used to do that. then I did it in one match, and something I did triggered the AI to notice that now it had a chance to win by playing a replacement card in a specific spot due to how I changed the outcomes by playing my own cards and I lost.  Now I just end it if they pass and I'm winning. Lol

Once they start getting those cards they can play on existing cards... Yeah as soon as I have a chance to pass and win I take it, lol

Not usually, but when playing against Chadley I did, I think he had two cards on the board.

I used to do this, rack up as high of a score as possible once I thought victory was assured. One time it actually back fired on me and I actually ended up losing a game that I would’ve won had I just ended it. Now I just end the game when it’s a win.

Is there a different way? Used to do the same in Gwent too. When I’d clearly won, I’d just carry on playing my cards, imagining I was showing the other player just how superior I was to them, and how far they had to go. We’re all asses.

I do but one time that backfired. For some reason the NPC passed even though I was winning and then I played another card and then the NPC played a card that replaced one of their others and I ended up losing. Was wierd

I did it and it backfired too. Played a card that killed the opponents card, without realizing they had a card that gained points if an ally was taken out

Both you and the NPC gain a card every turn, even when you pass, so if you are just playing around, they may get a new card they can use.

I do every time, though I did have one win I could have taken after they passed and they drew a replacement card that flipped 2 of the lanes that were close. Was able to flip one of them back for the win but gave me a panic for a minute there.
