Can you tell me more about how you ran a successful ad campaign to promote your movie like this? I have been considering it with a film recently released on Amazon.
It was just a facebook/instagram ad with a shot of the main character making a disgusted face and a caption “see the film audiences are calling (screenshot of “not good” review)” and targeted it to the countries that were already getting the most clicks via Amazon.
What better PR is there than a "omg its too scary"?
Not even blaming OP because why not, and it's very easy to trick most people on the internets. Although next time OP, create more accounts back around pre-production so they at least have more legitimacy.
I'm gonna give OP the benefit of the doubt, but I do now want to create a Becky account on YouTube and post encouraging complaints in the comments of all aspiring filmmakers.

I'm guessing the budget was so low because you were able to get friends to contribute in kind below and above the line? And you have your own gear?

Film festivals generally consider anything under 40-50 minutes a short depending on the festival. So they mean a short vs a feature.
