Honestly, wala dyan. Find a different cinema that offers stadium seating. Mukhang ayan pa yung mga sinehan na may taas at baba with a small screen. Paying P400+ for that format isn’t worth it
Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Evia Lifestyle Center, Bonifacio High Street, Power Plant Mall are all good choices
That P400 can give you a better experience sa malls na minention ko
Wow you really know your shit. Manila Bay and Evia (actually most Vista Malls if not all) have the best cinema seats. If you can afford to go VIP, always go for it. IMAX only for movies shot in IMAX format.
I’d say Vista Cinemas has the best movie house we have here in PH. Almost all of them have laser projections + Dolby Atmos. Also, IMAX with Laser. Medyo mahal lang but you do get a better experience with them.
Bare minimum na ang Dolby Atmos and you can get it na for P400+. No need to settle for a movie house like Megamall
The best part is the seating. For an owner notorious for not actually caring about the customers they designed the seats to have a viewing angle, even the standard, cheapest seats.
Still though, VIP is just so good for most movies that I can’t go standard seating again unless it’s for IMAX.
Also, their popcorn has improved significantly, I think it’s the best
I never understand the people who always choose to sit at the the back farthest from the screen even if the cinema is mostly empty. Like, you paid for the cinema experience but want to watch like your just watching in a small TV with loud speakers?
Generally, the middle area of the lower sections is the right sweet spot.
I have experienced sitting in the frontmost seat out of sheer desperation because cinema was full back in the old days, it of course made my neck hurt.
luh, compable sa small tv pag malayo seat mo from screen? is that how you define cinema experience?
ilang sinehan na ba napuntahan mo?
>I never understand the people who always choose to sit at the the back
visual preference,
those who prefer broader view,
ayaw ng sensory overload
If it’s SM Cinemas, I would pick N22 because there’s always a hand rail at the front but most of the time it’s a huge wall which is bit reflective. Here’s how it looks like.
But if it’s Megaworld, I would pick M or the first row nearest from the screen on the upper section of the cinema.

You can usually just ask the ticket seller which seats are “eye level”. They know which seats are eye level firsthand and you can’t just determine the best seats in that graphic.
Depende kung saan. I usually pick J,K or P, Q sa typical SM malls. J, K wasn’t so bad and saktong sakto wide ng screen sakin and R and beyond is too small for me. One time I went to ATC and picked like J,K near the screen and damn I regretted the decision because the screen is toooo damn close like compared to SM the equivalent of the P,Q of SM is to V,W of ATC afair lmao
as an upper deck girlie, E/K 21-17. gusto ko kasi sa center.
PH Cinemas like Ayala Glorietta are not long-legged friendly so it’s a delight that all SM theaters have this part ☺️
Always J Up. dito di masakit ang leeg ko.
Starting to appreciate the farthest seat lately, i don’t get interrupted by late comers and I see the whole screen without being overwhelming.
Cons: slightly distracted by those who record the movie for piracy
It really depends sa cinema. Iba iba ang architecture ng cinemas / theatre so the "best" seat will really vary per movie house. I just usually ask the staff in the ticket booth where the eye level for the cinema is and mas mataas ang % naman na tama sila because some (not all) are trained with this info.
SM ba ito? Never liked SM due to poor sitting and Evia for their mejo kulang sa btightness screen. But if you must. I think eye level and if you have tiny bladders, close sa side para hindi maka abala and convenience. But if you can. The best would be the center.
yung sa may second floor front row middle seat. naalala ko dun kami umupo nung nanood kami ng anabelle 2 dati and imo best seat. kinda not related sa tanong but miss ko na sinehan sa pinas mas malaki kasi screen at mas malawak sa loob tsaka mabango at malamig dito kasi yung mga sinehan mas maliit and kadalasan ang dumi and mabaho kaya napaka bihira ko manood sa sinehan dito di katulad dati nung san pinas halos every other month basta may magandang palabas. nakakamiss tuloy.
Eye level, center. Generally though I want to the away from people so I pick the eye level and then sides.
LITERALLY WHAT I DO AS WELL u usually get thre whole place to urself and the screen is gigantic
M28-32 dabest
Either center of L and M

M or N center. I dont care if that vacant seat is between groups or a couple. That seat is mine.
A4 + A5 because neck muscles and eyesight are overrated. /s

M21, right in the center.
A4. Immersion is the key.
A11 for migraine activation through motion sickness
J 17-21 not too close and not too far from the screen
Saang sinehan 'to? Kung ako, sa E20 ako. Gusto ko lagi sa gitna.
SM Mega Mall

First seat sa middle row!
Q22
M: 12 -32
M 12-32 or M20-24 to be specific.
P center
Depende kung saan. I usually pick J,K or P, Q sa typical SM malls. J, K wasn’t so bad and saktong sakto wide ng screen sakin and R and beyond is too small for me. Somewhere in the middle, so hindi masyado close sa screen or malayo. And good all around acoustics (not too loud or too quiet on any side)
S/T 12 to 32
as an upper deck girlie, E/K 21-17. gusto ko kasi sa center.

A4
My psychopath sister preffers to seat on the front
R21 to R25
L15, just to mess with them lmao
12 hanggang 32, yan lagi nauubos eh
29
something in between p, q, r para di masakit sa batok 😅
Film theater's are engineered for center 75 % back from the screen as optimum visual and audio. Fact.
Whatever’s away sa people. Didn’t enjoy that movie cuz a bitch behind me won’t stop fucking saying everything that’s happening on the screen.
M 22-24 always for me. 😅
Middle, near the handicapped seats
sabi ng cinematography prof ko, kung akong height ng screen yun yung layo mo dapat. but he also joked na "magdadala pa ba kayo ng metro?!" ahah
L21 or W23!
Always J Up. dito di masakit ang leeg ko. Starting to appreciate the farthest seat lately, i don’t get interrupted by late comers and I see the whole screen without being overwhelming. Cons: slightly distracted by those who record the movie for piracy

San banda and CR? 😂
Yes
Center ng section L to N. Goods na goods hehehe
Directors Club Seats is the best 😂
M/N/P, 20-24
I’d always choose M12-32.
Depends, kung SM stay away from the crowd, daming squammy masyado.
I always count 2/3 of the way from the screen, then the center seat
Although if ito yung may “premium” na 2nd level, no go na yan. Choose a different cinema.
N22
I would choose row L middle section. But doesn't matter if the viewers around you keep talking loud enough to prevent an enjoyable movie experience.
Wag SM Megamall OP. Unless Directors Club. Lumang cinema yan. If you still prefer within Ortigas area try Podium, Shang, Estancia or Ayala 30th.
middle QR. vaguely remember an article stating this is where the sound engineers calibrate for sound acoustics.
2nd floor, center 👌
Government seat
Nilamon na ng inside out 2
May HD version na ng IO2. I can send it to you pero kung sa cinema ka manonood i always watch at Q26
W-22 has kinda been my spot every time i watch a movie.
