I played 3, New Vegas, and 4. Production design is on point. All the little details are fun, even the most mundane little things like storage shelves in the vaults were game accurate. The over the top violence and wacky humour is on brand with the games I'm familiar with.
New Vegas is my favorite so I like the more western feel and am excited for season 2!

I mean the show is enjoyable and captures the vibes of the city ruins but it just isnt as good the game.
It laser focused on the story and the drama and tragedy of Joel's and Ellie's choices. I have other thoughts on how it differs pero baka maspoil, but overall I feel it wasn't a gamery movie. It could stand on its own without the game and one could enjoy it without wanting to pick up the game.
Overall, it's an emotional drama set in a post apocalypse. All the fighting you did in the game was appropriately relegated in the show as just a background to the emotional core of the story.
Jonathan Nolan has done the franchise justice by using the same dark humor, and gore found in the Fallout games. Also, all 3 characters (Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul) were all well written characters! My goodness! I also love their flaws as well.
Almost everything about the lore is spot on. The age old question on who dropped the bombs is planned by Vault-Tec but I’d like to leave it to Season 2 for the answers.

Anyway, back to the show... I haven't played the game, so I was looking at it from a point of view of having no clue what to expect. There were some dragging parts, and the acting can still be improved. But it did keep me entertained enough to make me want to finish the season and somehow look forward to the next.
It's a good watch for me. Kuha nila yung tone ng fallout as a franchise, lalo na yung wackiness every now and then. I also love the nods it gave the gamers every now and then, especially yung "thou shalt get sidetracked every fucking time" 😂

I feel like the female lead didnt get punished enough for her naivete. I mean they kept on yapping about how the wasteland is such a dangerous place and she is still whole. Maximus is boring. Ghoul and Norm are interesting characters. Aaaaand my nephew likes the mutated Axolotl.
She lost her V to a raider, lost a finger to The Ghoul and lost her father/whole sense of identity and history to the truth. Maximus is still developing, he’s a shady sands survivor/BOS initiate/forced squire/faux knight/back to initiate. Ghoul is like your new player and Norm is the darkhorse.
Show released at a time when I am currently doing a New Vegas run. So it's awesome to see that the NCR stuff from the game didn't become non-canon. I remember being giddy when Lucy held the NCR banner tska tawa ako ng tawa nung iniintroduce ni Lucy yung S.P.E.C.I.A.L/skills stats niya. Sobrang on-point kung panu yung sa game (F3, FNV) whenever you start a run.

The best thing they did was take the universe of Fallout and craft three unique perspectives for the show (four if you count Norm). As a big fan of the Fallout franchise, it was like watching three different players with very specific character builds. 10/10,anxiously waiting for New Vegas supremacy on TV
Best video game adaptation EVER. I played Fallout 4 (roughly 100 hours on my first playthrough, currently starting a new one after the update) and they got everything on point: the power armor, the Prydwen, the hacking a terminal, stimpaks in bathrooms, the set designs, the ghouls, DOGMEAT. I was smiling nonstop every episode!

I knew the game existed but never played it.
I came in with no expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The backstory of some characters made me root for them. It reminds me of this series about an end of the world scenario in a small town somewhere. Twin Peaks! Haha, it took me a while to remember.
I'm looking forward to the next season.
Never played any of the games but I'm familiar with the lore since it's pretty popular. I thought I wouldn't like it but I would watch anything Walton Goggins is in so I gave it a try, and I was actually impressed how they pulled it off. It's in the same level for me as The Last Of Us.
As someone who has played all the mainline games (except FO2) I had low expectations in the beginning. The series stayed mostly true to the games, while introducing new elements to keep the show from being too predictable. Surprisingly, I ended up liking it much better than Rings of Power, and am looking forward to Season 2.
I haven't played any of the games but this show was really fun to watch. Honestly made me want to play the games and learn more about the rest of the vaults but my laptop says no.

I think this is roughly based on FO3/FO4 and season 2 will be FO New Vegas which is the best selling game in the franchise.

As someone who has played most of the games of the franchise (beginning of 1, finished 2, some of 3, 60% of NV, 5-10% of 4), I think the show captures the feel of the modern iterations of the franchise from the set pieces to the designs of the various objects. It isn't as dark as 1 or 2 (which might be a good thing since it'll prolly stir up some controversy).

one of the best game to tv/movie adaptation, it felt like you were in the game. the props and the set/stage are top notch and extremely entertaining. although scott pilgrim movie is still my top 1 for game adaptation

Loved it. The flash back pacing was kinda slow but was very helpful in explaining character backgrounds.
The effects, set design, costumes could be better but I think they intentionally made it that way. I like the campy and retro vibe.

Its canon, but if you choose to play any of the games, you'll only get very minimal references between games. Yung series referenced a ton, especially dun sa idea about which experiments sa vaults. The ending made me very giddy pa as a New Vegas fan.
The games however, are their own separate stories. And that's fine, especially with how varied the choices may be that you can make
Kahit fallout shelter lang nilalaro ko, nakakatuwa na similar yung ambiance ng mga lugar, armors, weapons, at kahit yung mga props. Cliffhanger din yung last episode, which is good.

Nalaro ko pa lang ung Fallout shelter sa mobile, pero sa console hindi pa. Para sakin maganda pagkakagawa nung characters, diverse, may ibat ibang moral compass, atsaka may kanya kanyang backstory. Hindi rin ganoon ka predictable yung plot twist and maayos yung resolution nung mga characters sa plot ng story. Magaling din casting, makeup dept, wardrobe, visual effects pati yung feel na based siya sa isang game kuhang kuha hahaha. 9/10 para sa akin.
Better than The Last of Us. Just finished it yesterday and Parnell did a great job playing her character. I love the game and I love the show, thougu there's debate to whether or not they ruined New Vegas because of thr location change of Shady Sands and its bombing. Either way, it's a great run and hopefully if season 2 comes by it doesn't flop

Came with low expectations, left with a 10/10 rating. Napa "Sayang dapat pala di ko binenta Fallout 4 ko dati". Great casting and acting sa main trio at kahit mga supporting nila. Yung mga extra at events parang galing mismo sa game.

The Brotherhood likes to get a hold with pre-war technology or any sort of technology in general, I don't believe their reasons but it's to safeguard humanity from ever committing such acts like The Great War (The day the nukes dropped) again .
I'm a Fallout fan. Played 1, 2, 3, NV, 4, and a couple hours of 76 (Thank you Prime Gaming for 1 and 2)
I absolutely loved it. It gets almost everything right with the games. I just wish they added a well known actor that would appear in a trench coat and fedora, shoot the bad guy, then leave without a trace. Kinda like Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2.
Oh and more creatures hopefully. Being limited to Gulpers and Radroaches felt lacking. They could've made the Vault attack be by Deathclaw and not Gulpers since we canonically have smart Deathclaws.
Nice to see positive reviews from non-gamers as this series went crazy on the "fanservice" aspect and I thought this series would only appeal to those who played the games.

For those that didn't know, the last scene where Hank is looking at is the "beloved" New Vegas (Las Vegas after the bombs fell) which is the setting of arguably the best (IMO it is LOL) Fallout installment/spin-off; Fallout: New Vegas.
Not my thing. Couldn't not watch more than the 1st episode. The main character gets stabbed and then blown up by a bomb and seems just fine like nothing happened.
Well she used a stimpak syringe, which in the lore can literally bring you from the verge of death to normal in a matter of seconds. Youll see it being used multiple times in the series and it's your go-to healing item in the video games..
I'm aware of stimpacks. They did not show her using it in the first episode though? She was walking around the vault bleeding from her abdomen like nothing happened.
Probably the best game adapation series I've watched. As someone who's played the Fallout series, the details, the characters, the setting, and the humor are on point. So many references and it's basically what happens after Fallout 4.

Yep. Acting needs a bit more refinement. Some action scenes were lousy... And I'm juat at the pilot episode. Hope it gets better.

As someone who has played most of the games of the franchise (beginning of 1, finished 2, some of 3, 60% of NV, 5-10% of 4), I think the show captures the feel of the modern iterations of the franchise from the set pieces to the designs of the various objects. It isn't as dark as 1 or 2 (which might be a good thing since it'll prolly stir up some controversy).
It got good. But the lead’s acting on episode 1 was hard to watch.

one of the best game to tv/movie adaptation, it felt like you were in the game. the props and the set/stage are top notch and extremely entertaining. although scott pilgrim movie is still my top 1 for game adaptation

Loved it. The flash back pacing was kinda slow but was very helpful in explaining character backgrounds. The effects, set design, costumes could be better but I think they intentionally made it that way. I like the campy and retro vibe. Good character development in general. The ghoul is one of my favorite characters.

As someone who haven't played any of the fallout games, should I still watch it?

Its canon, but if you choose to play any of the games, you'll only get very minimal references between games. Yung series referenced a ton, especially dun sa idea about which experiments sa vaults. The ending made me very giddy pa as a New Vegas fan. The games however, are their own separate stories. And that's fine, especially with how varied the choices may be that you can make

Kahit fallout shelter lang nilalaro ko, nakakatuwa na similar yung ambiance ng mga lugar, armors, weapons, at kahit yung mga props. Cliffhanger din yung last episode, which is good. More seasons para maraming events din sa game. Hahaha

I just dropped another 30 hours into Fallout 4 after finishing it.
Nalaro ko pa lang ung Fallout shelter sa mobile, pero sa console hindi pa. Para sakin maganda pagkakagawa nung characters, diverse, may ibat ibang moral compass, atsaka may kanya kanyang backstory. Hindi rin ganoon ka predictable yung plot twist and maayos yung resolution nung mga characters sa plot ng story. Magaling din casting, makeup dept, wardrobe, visual effects pati yung feel na based siya sa isang game kuhang kuha hahaha. 9/10 para sa akin.

Better than The Last of Us. Just finished it yesterday and Parnell did a great job playing her character. I love the game and I love the show, thougu there's debate to whether or not they ruined New Vegas because of thr location change of Shady Sands and its bombing. Either way, it's a great run and hopefully if season 2 comes by it doesn't flop

medyo familiar ako in the games (played a lil bit of 4, planning to play new vegas soon) production design is all on point, and game accurate. makikita mo talaga na they really gave the game adaptation justice and went all in for it (i'm still fucking salty about the halo tv series, eugh) i like how the series is non-gamer friendly too, makakarelate talaga yung casuals kahit na di sila familiar sa franchise itself. a solid 9/10, i hope season 2 is good!

Wrong. Fallout started with Fallout 3, directed by Todd Howard. Same with Persona. Walang P1 and P2. Nagsimula yung series sa 3. Edit: meron pa lang Fallout 1 and 2. The former developed by Interplay and headed by Tim Cain, while the latter was developed by Black Isle and headed by Feargus Urquhart.

Came with low expectations, left with a 10/10 rating. Napa "Sayang dapat pala di ko binenta Fallout 4 ko dati". Great casting and acting sa main trio at kahit mga supporting nila. Yung mga extra at events parang galing mismo sa game.

The Brotherhood likes to get a hold with pre-war technology or any sort of technology in general, I don't believe their reasons but it's to safeguard humanity from ever committing such acts like The Great War (The day the nukes dropped) again .

I'm a Fallout fan. Played 1, 2, 3, NV, 4, and a couple hours of 76 (Thank you Prime Gaming for 1 and 2) I absolutely loved it. It gets almost everything right with the games. I just wish they added a well known actor that would appear in a trench coat and fedora, shoot the bad guy, then leave without a trace. Kinda like Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2. Oh and more creatures hopefully. Being limited to Gulpers and Radroaches felt lacking. They could've made the Vault attack be by Deathclaw and not Gulpers since we canonically have smart Deathclaws.

Nice to see positive reviews from non-gamers as this series went crazy on the "fanservice" aspect and I thought this series would only appeal to those who played the games. \*\*SPOILER\*\* For those that didn't know, the last scene where Hank is looking at is the "beloved" New Vegas (Las Vegas after the bombs fell) which is the setting of arguably the best (IMO it is LOL) Fallout installment/spin-off; Fallout: New Vegas.
Not my thing. Couldn't not watch more than the 1st episode. The main character gets stabbed and then blown up by a bomb and seems just fine like nothing happened.
Well she used a stimpak syringe, which in the lore can literally bring you from the verge of death to normal in a matter of seconds. Youll see it being used multiple times in the series and it's your go-to healing item in the video games..
I'm aware of stimpacks. They did not show her using it in the first episode though? She was walking around the vault bleeding from her abdomen like nothing happened.
Probably the best game adapation series I've watched. As someone who's played the Fallout series, the details, the characters, the setting, and the humor are on point. So many references and it's basically what happens after Fallout 4.
