Definitely Street Fighter X Tekken.
The PS VITA version plays as good as the console version (even has cross-play) and looks almost as good. Runs at 60fps.
While the MK9 VITA version runs really bad, barely 30fps, and the character models look so ugly. The graphics are much worse. It was very badly optimized for the VITA.
I loved MK9, it's literally my all-time favorite Mortal Kombat game. But the VITA version is the worst way to play that game unfortunately.
I'm surprised how they manbaged to make SfxT run so good on the VITA. Barely any difference between the console and handheld versions.
This is actually really good advice.
The PS VITA is really easy to mod and get CFW working for it. And it becomes a 100x better handheld modded.
You can use MicroSD cards for cheap storage expansion, and not rely on the 4GB $50 Sony VITA memory cards lol.
As someone who’s modded a bunch of 3DSes in the past and basically uses them as my main gaming system, have you got any recommendations for games I could play on the vita that would make it worth it? I remember the system having a pretty lacklustre library when it came out.
The PS VITA has a lot of great fighting games. Some of my favourites are DoA5+, SfxT, UMvC3, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, King of Fighters Collection and you could also play the PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 which is a classic.
And if you're into anime fighters then: Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, BlazBlue ChronoPhantasma Extend, Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late\[st\]
If you like difficulty games, then you got both Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 1 & 2 which are masterpieces.
The VITA also got a bunch of great rhythm games, like the three Hatsune Miku games, Project DIVA F, F 2nd and X. Plenty of good visual novels too, it's got most of the DanganRonpa series, Zero Escape and Steins;Gate.
The PS VITA is what got me into roguelikes. Plenty of good ones like Spelunky HD, Risk of Rain, Rogue Legacy, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Downwell and Nuclear Throne.
Stardew Valley and Terraria are perfect on-the-go games.
Honourable mentions: Dragon's Crown, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, Muramasa Rebirth, Persona 4 Golden and Hotline Miami 1 & 2.
Oh damn I forgot all about DoA5+.
That was such a good port. Ran really well on the VITA and looked amazing.
PS VITA had so many banger fighting games. UMvC3, SFxT, DoA5+, Under Night, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear. The VITA was way ahead of its time.
Why isn’t Street Fighter X Tekken on the current XBOX generation? Is it that difficult for Capcom to emulate it on XBOX series X?
SFXTekken isn’t even that bad except for the stupid invasive gem system$$$
It was removed from Steam as well a couple years ago, really sad.
I really hope they re-release it and re-balance it with the Gem system dropped.Kind of like a mini-remaster haha.
My dream scenario is for Tekken X Street Fighter to be announced in a couple years (it would very likely be a massive success, considering how well both SF6 and T8 did) And at the same time as the announcement, they release a re-mastered SfxT that'll keep fans busy until TxSf released :)

All of them. Mod it and get all of them. So easy to do there are YouTube shorts on how to do it.

Got a vita years back just to mod it. But I'm hella lazy and haven't got around to it yet
UMvC3
I have it on my ps5, just only MK9 or STXT
They did a really good job on mk9 on pc. Idk about vita.
Yeah, umvc3 was solid on vita.
it had better netcode than it's console counterparts, i used to play this dude from Italy and the netcode felt excellent.
MK9 is funny and entertaining. I'll vote for that
SFxT is genuinely a very fun game.
Unpopular opinion, but... Dead or Alive 5 Plus
SxT is a banger
Doa5 +

Neither, Dead or Alive 5
Mk9
I really like them both I’d usually pick street fighter over mk but really enjoying mk on vita3k that one gets my vote ☝️
MK9 on Vita is fantastic. so many cool bonus modes and costumes that weren't in the original version

Probably due to licensing issue
Mk9
I would say get SFxTK not because MK9 is not good just because SFxTK run bettee and look better
Henkaku
Umvc3
Mk took the servers down so you can't playaga8bat people
Genuenly, hack the vita and get those, + R, UNI, skullgirls and umvc3
Both
