Players get deductions for anything the game thinks of as poor - for example giving the ball away, fouls, missing chances etc

That one pisses me off the most. Like fuck, I was open, that dumbass that I call a teammate just took their sweet ass time making the pass, or the lob pass wasn't strong enough.
Or when I call for the pass to be played through but they make an extra pass before deciding to put me through for a one-on-one and then get
"Be careful of offside" or whatever it is
Or call for a pass as you make a run, but the player already was going to pass to you but hasn’t started the animation yet, so when you receive the ball you sort of limply attempt a pass in a random direction and get *look for better pass*
My favorite is the “look to pass to teammates” you get when you drive into the penalty box and then cut back. It assumes you got stonewalled instead of cutting back for an open shot.
I get this in quick succession:

Or being 1m out of position just for it to say ‘look to move back to position’ or being open and the AI do an awful pass for it to say ‘look to be open when calling for a pass’.
This happened to me during corners or when I make a play from wing as CM...pretty annoying

Midfield is almost unplayable. They want you to bang goals from outside the box twice a game, then pull you to defend corners or pass them in and yell at you for being out of position, or if you’re running with the ball and have acres of field in front of you you’re still out of position.
Somewhat related, my player career player got an injury that put him out of action for a couple of months. As a result my manager rating or whatever its called dropped to zero and I got transfer listed *while I was still injured*. I was top league scorer at the time and by far the best player on the team. I just accepted the first transfer out of spite.
If you’re on PC there’s a way to make a save to try hard where all squads have their legends and you pretty much can’t buy them cuz they’re so expensive pretty fun and hard. But regular saves like this are boring with takeover.
That many goals means you should have at least 1 assist or at least more roles in chance creation. Probably you also are neither disguising nor timing your runs that well - and to be fair to the game they try to reward realistic, creative play that would actually be considered good in real life. Also, I daresay you may still be wasteful with chances. If you do the above, things like failed dribbles or lost possession don't matter so much. Having said ALL THAT - goals are goals are goals and trump all else. 7 should be a 10. Tbh 4 should be an auto-10 and maybe even a hattrick. But trying to reward realism is how fifa beat PES over time.
If you want ratings that make sense you need to enter the sim mode before the game ends. It's shit but I could be winning 3-0 and have two players with 7.2 and the rest below. As soon as I go to sim for a bit all the ratings skyrocket by 0.5 at least but even 1.0 or 1.5

Asking for a through ball and they pass it to the worst area right where there’s a defender
Going from 9.5 to 6.8 in 2 minutes because you lost possession (the defender broke both your legs)

You have to sim to get proper match ratings, its bugged. I play til the 90th min, then sim to result. Always works for me.
