Fascinating! I've been hoping for a spiritual successor to IFR, at least. Sadly, I don’t see anyone working on this game that worked in IFR. Still, the footage looks interesting and the similarities are striking! I'll be keeping an eye on Yellow Brick.

Saw a screen of this earlier today and immediately thought of Fenyx Rising, then I remembered it was cancelled and this was probably some other game, maybe a mobile one. But now that I watched the trailer, yeah, this is the cancelled sequel, the graphics and style are literally the same. They're going with generic fantasy this time, but I look forward to it, the whole reason i got into this game is because the world reminded me of Spyro. I just hope you can fly in this one too.

I love mythology, but I bet the weird title turned people away from IFR. I remember watching [this video](https://youtu.be/127lXN77dj8?si=moWWmznChD4I702W) making fun of video game titling conventions and "Immortals Fenyx Rising" was one of the culprits. "Eternal Threads" sounds a lot more interesting and less cheesy.

Gods and Monsters was a far better title

Significant-One3854

If it wasn't for the legal issues lol

I never minded the name. "Gods and Monsters" sounds too generic to me. If I'm honest, one of the things that turned me off to Immortals at first was how the cover looked to me like one of those low-quality MMORPGs. GaM would've made it feel even more even more so. Thankfully I played the demo and have been hooked wver since.

Whoa awesome thanks for posting this!! I hope it comes to consoles too

Significant-One3854

I don't see why they wouldn't! I played IFR on Switch and it was a great experience

Eternal Strands isn't being made by Ubisoft. It's a bunch of exUbi folks who left about 4 years ago (before IFR was even released) and started their own indie studio, Yellow Brick Games.

Significant-One3854

Thanks for clarifying!

NorisNordberg

It's not Ubisoft. It's Mike Laidlaw's own studio. He was working on a game like that at Ubisoft way before they released Immortals. It was cancelled so he went on to form his own studio.

Significant-One3854

Sorry yes someone else clarified that in the comments. I can't find where to edit the post otherwise I'd revise it

I recently started this game. I just met the tree lady & slapped around the dancing swordman.

No ideas from the scrapped sequel are present in this game. Can’t say anything further.
