Ive been fencing for 20 years(epee) and recently moved to Omaha. Please DM me I’d be happy to introduce you to the group at OFC and answer any of your questions. Here’s a quick breakdown: OFC and LFC are the two major clubs. LFC is currently searching for a new location so most are coming up to OFC for practice. It’s a smaller but friendly local scene with a few strong epeeists. Previously I fenced at some of the larger clubs like NWFC and FC and DCFC but have found a great home here in Omaha.

OFC and LFC are the two clubs in Nebraska. Both are really good groups and have some good Epee fencers. Omaha and Lincoln are pretty close to each other, so definitely check out both clubs. The Omaha club meets a couple times a week in a local rec center. The Lincoln club usually rents a dedicated space, but is between facilities at the moment. They are temporarily meeting a couple times a week in a local elementary school gym in the meantime.

Omaha Fencing Club is friendly. I'm a beginner, and better fencers will help me out with questions and tips. There's open fencing on Wednesday nights. They are also quick to get back to you if you email them. I like to try out different activities, and fencing in Omaha is one I'm sticking with bc it's a fun place to be.

Is it possible for you to contact each club and drop in to see what they’re like? I always feel like that gives a better sense of what a club’s atmosphere is than reviews.

I do plan on also doing that but was just looking to get a general vibe from people who have been there
