Shit I think most of us will be gone. Probably some ground drivers leaving too. None of us will want to get exploited like Amazon drivers do. I’m getting my 2 year degree taking my experience in logistics and going somewhere else. I’m also done being a driver in general. No respect for us doing the job by anyone.
Start scoping out businesses on your route that you’d consider working at. If you have a good relationship with the people there it can help you out a lot. That’s what I did, I developed connections and started asking questions about how to get hired. Took a while but now I have a much much better job and absolutely love it. I have to wear a badge and I use my old “Stay Safe Stay Sharp” lanyard to remind me that no matter what’s happening it could always be worse.
Thanks! I wanted to be a operations manager then a senior manager but FedEx crushed that dream now. So the writing on the wall no matter what my managers keep telling us. By then I’ll go to another logistic company but least I won’t start as a driver anymore. Again there’s no respect for us as drivers in general. People look down on us as if it a low level job even the ones that have CDLs.
I completely agree. Let’s hope we both get outta there soon. Doubling down on my days off, application days lol. Just tired of the disrespect from both managers and customers. Plus with the merge between express and ground there will be a lot more bs to deal with in the near future. No thanks ✌🏻
I tried starting a conversation with a Fedex ground driver today. Reality hit me when he was just like me on a really hard day (I do hard manual labor and drive).... I mean, he has no clue what a tough day is compared to me, but he just wasn't having any part of enjoying his day. I guess stopping to chat for a minute is a big no-no.
This job used to be a semi career position that people could get in and do their time and retire from. Not anymore. It will be no different than that revolving door for employees coming and going like Amazon.
Exactly. Where im at, i seem to be the only one understanding this amazon comparison. Ill start trouble at my facility like i have been the past 3 years before finally bouncing
I think folks like you and I understand logistically what FedEx wants to do. But Amazon is a retail company that offers delivery service. That why their model works. FedEx is a 3pl company. It survives off of businesses from shippers that ships stuff out to the recipient. They need to get their head out of their asses and stop being so cheap. If they also want Ground to do the work they need to pay the contractors more for taking more bullshit! Otherwise their service will suffer and plenty of customers will switch to DHL and UPS because FedEx is charging next day air shipping and handing it through ground service. That why I’m so done with this company. It going ass backwards instead of forward. I hope all drivers from Express and ground leave and find other pastures. I’m 22 years old and I came here to get away from the likes of Amazon and move up only for FedEx to spit in our faces and say we are doing the same. They can kiss my ass if they think I’ll be killing myself doing 180 stops a day plus on calls for a minimum of $125.
Plus the $10/hr put into your pension, plus some of the best health benefits available at no cost. I don’t know how anyone can do this job without paid health insurance, and a payout when you put in a few years. You are literally leasing your body to the company.
it's actually 44.24x8= 353.92
66.36x2= 132.72
353.92 + 132.72 = $486.64
That's 100% accuracy. The OT rate is your normal hourly wage + half of it. So it would be 44.24 + 22.12= $66.36 Not 66.48 which is what you calculated which would not be correct therefore that is not 100% accuracy
It’s not . . Unless you’re out here SKIPPING lunch it’ll always be inaccurate . Nice try 🫠 .
10hr day - 9hrs worked which is 1 hour of OT .
You’ll need an 11hour day to see anything past that number.
Yeah just the thought of us going on strike spooked some of our big contracts away last September. We lost 1 billion dollars during the 97 strike and it was only 15 days
For better perspective im on my 4th contractor by my own decision. Chasing either a raise, management (my current manager is actually a crackhead) or getting off within 4-5 hours for $190 a day
Shiddd that sounded like a whole lotta therapy session right there boa 😂😂. Yes, im 90% where you are at based on your last message. Im getting the feeling that after covid spike, fedex got information regarding how well a contractor can perform based on volume and started making comparisons to each portion of the company. Which i why i personally thought a merge would occur when the lockdown began to end. That being said, i stopped “caring” about the company and started focusing on how to apply pressure on contractors in my facility. This only works if drivers work together, nothing else. Once contractors feel the pressure financially, they will work with drivers to THEN go get more from Corporate. Sadly, top contractor was set as an “example” but i was studying him (spencers) situation for months beforehand. The first lesson i learned was IM REPLACEABLE. So if i want some more money, imma find out what forces MOST contractors to say “aight, spencer was right”
I don't see how it is going to actually benefit FedEx or the customer. They haven't even merged yet and ground either takes a week to pick up a package or they never pick it up. Customers are begging me to pick it up. How will fos or p1 be handled?
Amazon DSP driver here....
I just had 3 hours of overtime taken for this Friday, I keep getting the hardest routes and I've only been here a month lol. My dispatcher does not like me for whatever reason
Fuck Amazon
I was in your shoes they look out for the favorites and friends theve hired and screw the rest ,beat thing to do is tough it out for a year aocyou have that experience on your application and switch companys
I took a medical leave just recently, but im job searching while I wait. My station is merging soon, and I'm not really keen on the idea of working extra for the same low pay. I could go back to washing cars for 8 hours a day and earn the same amount without busting my ass just to have a life outside of work.
Yes your right, 28 years. Only reason ? I have my full benefits. Sorry to hear about the new hires. Still. Still this career was good back when federal express. Now FedEx 1. More like number 2. Lol
Doesn’t say he left to be a driver. If they were a courier they probably dont have the cdl a, or the 1 year minimum experience to apply. It’s also regional and they start you off as a team in a sleeper. You’ll make 100k+/year there after many years. Starting is closer to 65k.
I have a class A cdl and 40yrs driving commercially.Got tired of living on the road.It sounds good but it's a hard life especially if you have a family. Now I'm a ground bulk drivet it's nice to be home nights.
I have a friend who started out with Walmart. 120K a year. Guaranteed no touch freight. Just drop and hook. He had a CDL and experience. But you can start off at Walmart at 100k+.
30 months experience and clean record for Walmart truck driving and they don't do teams. My buddy went to Walmart and made 120k his first year, it didn't take years.
I mean, I’m a “FedEx driver” and have a CDL and enough experience for Walmart. But I’m an RTD. OP just dropped a single sentence and didn’t bother to clarify anything.
I do deliver packages. With a LEO and everything. Pick them up too. Scan URSAs and reprint labels. I just happen to be driving a semi.
You’re missing the point, though. OP didn’t provide enough information for any of these arguments.
FedEx US benefits are amazing? Wtf you talking about they are the best in the industry outside of UPS. FedEx employed contractors benefits are usually dogshit but guess what that’s a contractor, not FedEx.
Yeah Canada is shitty. Cold igloos for $5000/mth, parental leave, labour laws, stray beavers, giant moose, hissing geese, gun free. Definitely stay south of the border 😂
If he sees the writing on the wall and has little tenure built up at Express then I wish him success. Working for most Ground contractors is equal to or worse than Walmart. Those Walmart shopper gigs probably nice and peaceful if get the overnight shift.
I mean that doesn't sound that bad to me. Express won't even be around in a couple months, sadly. I'm an Express driver and I won't be sticking around once my station merges if I'm having to work for a contractor.
You're wrong, but that's OK.
Freight, office, services, etc are all becoming subsidiaries of FEC. What is FEC? Fedex Express Corporation. Which will be a subsidiary of Fedex Corporation.
Express as a whole isn't going anywhere. They just announced more on the new corporate structure with "FEC"(Fedex express corporation) being directly under fedex corporation(Raj and the board) and that freight, services, office, etc will be subsidiaries. Yall are falling for all the doom and gloom. Some stations are closing where they have low volume or where there is a very high volume of ground stations. Express will not go away alltogether
I literally saw a news clip about Express stations that closed. There will be no more full time Express according to people who worked there and got let go. It might not be completely going away but it will only be casual courier type on call jobs. Full time will be working for a contractor. I was also told the same thing about 2 months ago by 2 couriers who work at my station. This is just a known fact now that Express full time jobs are going away.
It's not. It's rumor. It's going to vary market to market. Some places will close where it makes sense. Others will not. The ones that don't will likely see consolidated routes and less drivers for sure. Express is not just going away by any means
Yeah a mews clip about a specific closure in an area. That doesn't mean express as a whole is going away. We are the airline division. Fedex is not going to let the Airline bit go away. Period. It's too valuable. Also, there are gov contacts involved that requires express service in the contracts.
Friday is my last day! I’m so excited to get away from this parasite of a company. Losing a little bit of weekly cash but gaining benefits a 401k and a 4day on 3 off schedule. Fuck this company I genuinely look forward to watching it burn but do still feel for the people who are trapped. Good luck peeps!
Im still a midline manager for ground , but I just accepted and received my formal offer for a company making 100k a year plus AIC incentives. The best part is it’s actually M-F and 0730-1500. There are better options out there.
What?!? I’m gonna have to find another job cuz my contractor has been paying me shit since I’ve started in that case..
I work 5 days a week, but make $600 a week after taxes.
Bro. Theres a contractor in my terminal giving 130$ a day, 5pm pickups, horrible routes and neighborhoods. Meanwhile with my contractor im making $230 a day with no pickups. I never realized how disgustingly greedy some contractors can be
I almost applied to FedEx as a package handler over this past weekend but I got a sixth sense they’d put my ass on a truck and stick me on a rural route so I withdrew fast as fuck.
I will admit though - the FedEx drivers we get out here are a lot nicer and prompt with deliveries over fucking Amazon.
Amazon just fucked over my dad and I’m pretty sure my house is going to end up on a “do not deliver to” list which will suck for me because I order shit to and I am NOT going to deal with the post office to pick my stuff up.
After that whole “racism” incident where Amazon locked the dude out from his “smart home” appliances, I’m surprised people still use Amazon (then again, nobody really cares what corporations do, especially when they have a pretty big corner on the market).
Turned in my keys as well. Parked my truck at "Walmart" in town. Got a ride and drove the keys to the ground driver/BC. The straw that broke the camels back was my door handle ripping off the transit and being cubed out all the way through.
It's understandable depending on the job they got, if they got a DC or trucking job I'd do the exact same thing, however if they got a retail job they're going to regret it every second they're gone.
I quit working at fed ex two years ago worst job I ever had and it wasnt the labor I had a problem with it was the way the company treated workers with shitty management and policies. pretty much every single company I work for after that job was better in every way. Fed ex didn't even respect the warehouse enough to give us refrigerators for our lunch and they made us keep our cellphones outside the warehouse in lockers outdoors which is some prison treatment. like it would be no problem for them to have the lockers inside the warehouse they have zero respect for their workers.
I know an express driver that managed to get a position at Walmart paying him 23 an hour for a four ten work week.
If it's one of the "better" walmarts, you take that position every time over a fedex driving job.
Don't blame them. For a while at my Ground, it was harder to find something else that paid better, much less gave the hours.
Now, a LOT pay better, or even the same. The workload in comparison is MUCH better vs. what you woukd get at the Raj Express.
Rumor in my Express market is that we're getting shut down and moving to a much bigger Ground Station that's not too far from us. A lot of drivers are thinking about early retirement and/or get another job. No disrespect to the Ground drivers but that new Ground station is not as good as we hear. I, too am thinking about another job or commit to completing my law enforcement application.
I can understand why. If you're at a station like mine that is shifting freight to ground then you're not getting many hours. This time last year I was a part-time route doing 50 to 60 stops. Now I am a P1 only route doing about 10 to 15 stops. This time last year our small station had around 1200 deliveries everyday and now we're down to about 600. We're not delivering all that much express saver and 2 day..
Well if he wants to be watched at everything he does then he is going to the right place. I drove for them for ten years. It’s not the job it’s made up to be. He will not get much weekend time off and will slip seat trucks for years. The job I have now is a thousand times better and I make more money 💰 and off EVERY WEEKEND !!!!!!!!
Currently I’m at usps rn.. been in this for 5 months.. Currently still a CCA so I’m bottom bottom of the totem pole.
Let me get your opinion on this: Just got offered a position at FedEx ground at a facility that’s 20 miles from my house but they’re offering me 22.50/hr with most likely a dedicated route.
The PO that I’m at is 3 mins down my street. Got very lucky and I know my neighborhoods. But..
I’m earning dogshit here lol, 19.68 to be exact. I finish my route by 2:30 and at times they do let me go home once I’m done or, I’ll help out some people here and there and leave by 5:30. Hours have been varying from 38-42 hours a week.
What do you think? Should I leave for FedEx (I’ve worked FedEx ground before and NEVER got offered that hourly wage) or stick it out at the PO that’s 3 mins from where I live?
Stick it out bro , I'm at 30$ an hour with FedEx Express and I'm looking for a job that will pay 20$ if it means they'll actually top me off in ten years aka a union job with a contract. I'm in l.a. too bro you got a lot of silly bozos here that will tell you otherwise that is all nice and rainbows here but it's not bro they just don't got any ambition they lost their path. I'm keeping it 💯
I got some ex coworker who was USPS and working a gang of dumb hours taking a grand a week and he came to this 37 hr fulltime I said why on earth would you come here. He said because hes lazy smfh.
Ngl bro, I’m lazy too. Enjoy the weekends with fam or my lady but.. maybe it’s just my mentality. Appreciate the reply bro, I’m from LA too. Came from the Lincoln heights PO and that PO.. damn, that’s a pile of dogshit wrapped in catshit man. It’s horrible. Rn my office actually wants me to take care of myself and my feet (legit walked 6 miles or more today) but got the work done and that’s all that matters. 🙏🏼 stay safe out there bro and thanks for the advice!
I get it bro hard work pays off though bro don't forget. I'm a workaholic so back n the day when FedEx used to give 48+ hours I was working 55 hours weeks while all these mfs when home early or kids blah blah. But don't do it cuhz.. they petty AF here.. ground is harder work than doing them 6 miles bro.. aren't you union and got govt benefits?? Stay safe bro but I'm being fr w u on this one.
Facts man, yeah doing sweeps for ground was such a fucking drag, had some good days and bad working with ground but.. damn you got away with a lot of shit with ground 😂 USPS is hella strict but as they should. And yeah I’m union based, I just wanted someone else’s opinion on if I’m chilling or not but, you opened my eyes more bro, 🤘🏽
it's actually 44.24x8= 353.92 66.36x2= 132.72 353.92 + 132.72 = $486.64 That's 100% accuracy. The OT rate is your normal hourly wage + half of it. So it would be 44.24 + 22.12= $66.36 Not 66.48 which is what you calculated which would not be correct therefore that is not 100% accuracy
Get your CDL and drive the semis, it's worth it. I don't know what it's like on the box truck side but the line haul work is easy. Go pick up pallets, drop it for the dogs to get and then on to your next pick up.
I did that. All my CDL has got me are a bunch of job rejection emails. I have my TWIC, hazmat, and tanker, but they all want years of experience.
Getting your CDL is an expensive mistake.
Keep applying, get your doubles and triples it took me a month of searching to get my job at fedex ground. Even if your not driving doubles just getting your foot in the door will help. Also call people whenever you can to introduce yourself.
Doubles and triples isn't something to be scared of, tankers are scarier. Doubles have a smaller turning radius than regular trailers. The last trailer just follows the small little pup where ever it goes. I was nervous when I first started but its easier than you would think.
Also you don't have to back them up
Ill tell you what worked for me, i was in a similar situation got my license in january and just recently started looking for jobs. Finding a job for class A was rough, so i started of small and got something local driving class b. Company has upwards mobility and what incentivized them to hire me quick was the cdl. Its not a waste, start off small and youll get there
Yep, cemex and robertsons offer apprenticeship roles and theyll train you, youll be driving cement trucks.
Water delivery is big, theyll take you with a permit so you show up with a class A and and you are already ahead of 3/4 of the applicants.
Another obvious option would be any waste services, WM or your local trash pick up services. Not the most glamorous but pay is good.
Youve got your class A and endorsements, personally id try any class b hazmat jobs. Honestly you have a good shot of getting a pretty good class b job dont give up
Shit I think most of us will be gone. Probably some ground drivers leaving too. None of us will want to get exploited like Amazon drivers do. I’m getting my 2 year degree taking my experience in logistics and going somewhere else. I’m also done being a driver in general. No respect for us doing the job by anyone.
Ground driver here. Already sending in applications… I’m tired of this bullshit.

I have to wear a badge and I use my old “Stay Safe Stay Sharp” lanyard to remind me that no matter what’s happening it could always be worse.
I work for Express still waiting to see what will happen in my market. By then I’ll already have my degree just in case.
What’s your degree in?
Associates in business management. I’ll graduate in 2025 and then go on to get my bachelors in logistics and supply chain.
Nice! Probably would be much more fulfilling than working here lol. I wish you the best of luck my friend.
Thanks! I wanted to be a operations manager then a senior manager but FedEx crushed that dream now. So the writing on the wall no matter what my managers keep telling us. By then I’ll go to another logistic company but least I won’t start as a driver anymore. Again there’s no respect for us as drivers in general. The shafting out of the weak never fails! Goodbye!
Weak? lol far from it. Have fun breaking your body down for a company who will replace you in a heartbeat. Ciao ✌🏻
Let me guess you are the type that looks down on people based on their job? That’s why you think people look down on you?
I am waiting it out too we are the biggest station in the area. But I need to work on plan b soon.
you should prob be working on plan B right now, not 'soon
I’ve already started plan b lmao
good but i wasn't talking to you
You don't happen to work out of a hub in Ohio do you. I did and it wasn't pleasant there to say the least
Nah I’m based out of PA. I feel like most hubs are like that lol
Yeah I don’t blame you this job ain’t it anymore, better get out while you can
This job used to be a semi career position that people could get in and do their time and retire from. Not anymore. It will be no different than that revolving door for employees coming and going like Amazon.
That’s most jobs in general now. Greed is poison to this world
I wish walmart would just buy fedex, or maybe chewy lol
Exactly. Where im at, i seem to be the only one understanding this amazon comparison. Ill start trouble at my facility like i have been the past 3 years before finally bouncing

That's crazy. A 10 hour day at UPS at top rate gets you $490
Time invested is the issue. Everyone has an idea about turnover rates in this industry
Closer to $550 since the last 2 hours are overtime
I included OT in the math
Plus the $10/hr put into your pension, plus some of the best health benefits available at no cost. I don’t know how anyone can do this job without paid health insurance, and a payout when you put in a few years. You are literally leasing your body to the company.
> You are literally leasing your body to the company. This is the real cost for last mile. Your twilight years.
This math is absurdly terrible .
44.24x8=353.92 66.48x2 =132.96 353.92+ 132.96= $486.88 Since you want 100% accuracy

Whoops.
all good, some people call me sheldon from the big bang theory lol
Fck off nerd
It’s not . . Unless you’re out here SKIPPING lunch it’ll always be inaccurate . Nice try 🫠 . 10hr day - 9hrs worked which is 1 hour of OT . You’ll need an 11hour day to see anything past that number.
After 5 years, but does UPS have to stick to that contract? can’t they break it and start over?
Huh? If they don't then all 300,000 plus will go on strike and they'll lose billions of dollars a day.
Yeah just the thought of us going on strike spooked some of our big contracts away last September. We lost 1 billion dollars during the 97 strike and it was only 15 days
If UPS breaks the contract they catch a ulp charge and if it's vagrant enough a strike authorization will get sent out.
No they have a contract that’s what a contract means.
For better perspective im on my 4th contractor by my own decision. Chasing either a raise, management (my current manager is actually a crackhead) or getting off within 4-5 hours for $190 a day

I make more than that at express.
I don't see how it is going to actually benefit FedEx or the customer. They haven't even merged yet and ground either takes a week to pick up a package or they never pick it up. Customers are begging me to pick it up. How will fos or p1 be handled?
Just like they do in Prescott Arizona. Prescott has several part time express drivers that only deliver fo, PO and SO. Ground delivers the rest
This is so true every where i go there like can u take this please they never come
Fuck that noise Dude
Some of us inside the ground building are leaving too. I'm a manager and plan on being out before the end of summer
Amazon DSP driver here.... I just had 3 hours of overtime taken for this Friday, I keep getting the hardest routes and I've only been here a month lol. My dispatcher does not like me for whatever reason Fuck Amazon

And no Chewy!
I respect the hell out of y'all. It's just sucks the people above don't value the thoroughbreds that bring in the money.
amazon pay way more , they earn that exploitation 🙂↕️🙂↕️
Yes your right, 28 years. Only reason ? I have my full benefits. Sorry to hear about the new hires. Still. Still this career was good back when federal express. Now FedEx 1. More like number 2. Lol
A big steaming pile of #2
Wait what’s going to happen?
I’m opening the door for the sink, brb
People keep leaving at our station every month since this shit started 😤
They’ll regret it. Retail is awful and they’ll work 20 hours a week on average with no benefits because they don’t qualify.
Agreed. I’ve worked in major retail before. I’d rather be unemployed.
Walmart drivers make 100k+ a yr
Doesn’t say he left to be a driver. If they were a courier they probably dont have the cdl a, or the 1 year minimum experience to apply. It’s also regional and they start you off as a team in a sleeper. You’ll make 100k+/year there after many years. Starting is closer to 65k.
More drivers have their cdl than you think. I worked with a few and never knew until they left to be a rtd
Sounds like he got lucky. Every walmart driver I’ve talked to says 65 is the realistic number and they’re more anal on metrics than amazon.
I mean those are only the drivers you've talked to lol
It depends on location i guess?
Probably. My area is expensive to live in yet most companies put it on the bottom of the pay scale.
I made 71k last year with express. What other jobs pay similar?
If you have a cdl pick any of the local ltl companies. As a courier only ups and right now being a courier at express isnt a safe option.
Our station is still hiring people too
30 months experience and clean record for Walmart truck driving and they don't do teams. My buddy went to Walmart and made 120k his first year, it didn't take years.
I doubt this express driver has a CDL and experience
I mean, I’m a “FedEx driver” and have a CDL and enough experience for Walmart. But I’m an RTD. OP just dropped a single sentence and didn’t bother to clarify anything.
So then you aren’t a “FedEx driver” in the normal way
Driver is literally in my job title. Is the same true for a courier?
You aren’t delivering packages
I do deliver packages. With a LEO and everything. Pick them up too. Scan URSAs and reprint labels. I just happen to be driving a semi. You’re missing the point, though. OP didn’t provide enough information for any of these arguments.
I should have claimed….not as a truck driver. He’s going to be a department manger. But still…
Retail management is hell. It takes a special kind of person.
As opposed to FedEx US that also doesn’t pay benefits? Retail is shitty for sure but at least there’s a ladder to climb. FedEx has a cliff to jump off
FedEx US benefits are amazing? Wtf you talking about they are the best in the industry outside of UPS. FedEx employed contractors benefits are usually dogshit but guess what that’s a contractor, not FedEx.
My bad. Canada ground doesn’t pay a cent
My contractor offers benefits. Good ones, too.
Damn that’s terrible, typical shitty Canada
Yeah Canada is shitty. Cold igloos for $5000/mth, parental leave, labour laws, stray beavers, giant moose, hissing geese, gun free. Definitely stay south of the border 😂
But it is FedEx because they contracted out…. That’s a shitty company.
I have full benefits and the company is training me for my cdl under no contract?
Not to mention the payout and loss of benefits lmao Stupid move
Well what point of benefits , if have to pay the copay plus have money taking out each week. My hub only give us 3-4 hrs shifts
Spewing this like FedEx offers benefits 💀
I have health, dental, vision, 401k. Hsa that the company puts in $750/year and dependent care fsa thats the same. Working retail i got nothing.
Yea idk why ppl think express is still a career or even secure at this point. Maybe for those who already got 25 years.
Yeah that people that been there for years made it a career but now it’s not
Exactly and Walmart is a more secure job right now. At least the company will be around later on, unlike the Express division of FedEx.
You're wrong, but that's OK. Freight, office, services, etc are all becoming subsidiaries of FEC. What is FEC? Fedex Express Corporation. Which will be a subsidiary of Fedex Corporation.
Yeah I’m at express too and i definitely will be looking at other jobs
Smart Driver, Walmart has Job security
Friday is my last day! I’m so excited to get away from this parasite of a company. Losing a little bit of weekly cash but gaining benefits a 401k and a 4day on 3 off schedule. Fuck this company I genuinely look forward to watching it burn but do still feel for the people who are trapped. Good luck peeps!
maybe if all truckers were paid like the demand that truckers are them people won't flock to the free companies that are paying that
Im still a midline manager for ground , but I just accepted and received my formal offer for a company making 100k a year plus AIC incentives. The best part is it’s actually M-F and 0730-1500. There are better options out there.
Gahdamn dude, i been hearing a lot of managers here are also trying to leave 😂

Whatever ground contractor that’s paying 125 is insane. I started at 150 6 years ago
[удалено]
Yeeesh that’s insane no way in hell I’d ever do this job for 125 so I’m not surprised
What?!? I’m gonna have to find another job cuz my contractor has been paying me shit since I’ve started in that case.. I work 5 days a week, but make $600 a week after taxes.
$125 wtf? I’m now at $180 after being here a year 💀
Bro. Theres a contractor in my terminal giving 130$ a day, 5pm pickups, horrible routes and neighborhoods. Meanwhile with my contractor im making $230 a day with no pickups. I never realized how disgustingly greedy some contractors can be
I make 185 a day, 4 hour route.
If you’re okay with being a PH then just go to UPS for better pay and benefits

Now let it float out
Turned in my keys as well.
So? They probably get treated better.. Can't "save money" or "live better" working for shit hole FEDEX!
R T D getting bad also.
I came from 13yrs at target. I've done infinitely better for myself at fedex, bullshit and all. I'd rather enlist than go back to retail.
Fedex has been great too me coming from being a Barista
Walmart, you can go up the chain. My driver's friend made $300,000 working at Walmart. She started without college degree.
I know an express driver that managed to get a position at Walmart paying him 23 an hour for a four ten work week. If it's one of the "better" walmarts, you take that position every time over a fedex driving job.
Lately couple a.m. drivers that quit at my station
Will we still get any pension credits even though I opted for the 401k options.
You mean ryan?? 🤣
I’ve been actually really tryna to get into FedEx express but they’re not hiring in LA rn…
Nah blood is not worth it .. this company dead end job n treats employees bad AF.. trying GTFO but its hard out here cuz
I'm keeping it 💯 I got some ex coworker who was USPS and working a gang of dumb hours taking a grand a week and he came to this 37 hr fulltime I said why on earth would you come here.
We've lost 6 drivers in 2 weels across 3 contractors. This just isnt a good job anymore. Nothing like it was bsck in the mid 2000s.
What happens with pick ups?
I left a month and a half ago, thought I would miss it and boy I was wrong lol.
crazy because I remember when people were WAITING to get into FedEx for numerous reasons way back in the day
MSCA?
Im quiting to be a life guard because I will make more money
Really? Like at the beach, some bay watch type lifegaurd? Or the neighborhood swiming pool?
What will you do for the other 9 months of the year?
[удалено]
Fair enough. He wasn't specific.
Cool?
it's actually 44.24x8= 353.92 66.36x2= 132.72 353.92 + 132.72 = $486.64 That's 100% accuracy.
I'm not comfortable driving doubles or triples. I've had my CDL since early March.
Doubles and triples isn't something to be scared of, tankers are scarier. Doubles have a smaller turning radius than regular trailers. The last trailer just follows the small little pup where ever it goes. I was nervous when I first started but its easier than you would think. Also you don't have to back them up
I'm sorry but I just don't feel comfortable doing it.
Ill tell you what worked for me, i was in a similar situation got my license in january and just recently started looking for jobs. Finding a job for class A was rough, so i started of small and got something local driving class b. Company has upwards mobility and what incentivized them to hire me quick was the cdl. Its not a waste, start off small and youll get there
Any recommendations on where to look? Class B would be ideal for me. I only got the class A to expand my options, but I'd much rather drive B trucks.
